Good Morning gents and happy Friday Eve!

Cool Darth Vader costume. You wear that every Halloween? Once a month? Friday night?
Halloween or a costume party but not that much recently. It takes the help of another to get into it and the cape alone weighs 10lbs so it is not comfortable to wear for long periods as it is also very hot. Friday nights are a no as it takes too long to get out of it and after wearing one is a sweat hog.:lmao:
Our tentative departure date is 4/18
Good deal and safe travels - keep us posted as you can.
Same here guys. Can't wait until the games start. Funny though hearing about all the stories of hotels, etc. not ready. Hopefully it will be a safe Olympics for all concerned.
Looking forward to the hockey but that ain't starting until next week. What a train wreck with the logistics, safety and the infrastructure but what was the IOC thinking when selecting Sochi :confused3

It's Norway's outfit that really pulls you in, isn't it?

You know... in a quiet, somewhat cerebral sport, having a personality can really set a team apart. If these guys have the personalities and attitudes to match their clothes, I think I'm going to be a big Norway fan this year. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

System is moving up from the states, making its way Northeast. Going to suck up moisture on its way here from the Great Lakes, meaning more snow. Even the kids are ready for winter to end. Only 18 months till Disney!:sad2:

202 days and I'll be in 95 degree heat sweating with the mouse! Can't wait. You can still book August and meet us there again.

Alright, whose cubicle is this?
impressive-skills-4.jpg

SHARKNADO! Pretty sure no work is getting done in that office.

I heard Sunday could be nothing to 30+ inches. Way to narrow it down- again. :crazy2:

However, they like to water down those drinks. Sometimes you are better to order on the rocks or just order that beer.

Yup. Way to forecast the weather. Yesterday another 14 inches of snow. Glad it slowed down after 1PM like they said. #^%$$^& kept going until 9PM. Went out and shoveled. Got another &^%$%&* 2 inches overnight.:mad:

Already prepared for needing to drink for hours just to get to my happy place with the cheap drinks.

Breaking news....it *^%#&$! snowed again :(

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Morning guys,

Congrats to the kids even if DS lost two. Is your daughter taunting him?

THE FOLLOWING IS INTENDED FOR MY NEMESIS ONLY, THE REST OF YOU PLEASE DO NOT READ.

My Brit friend is flying in this weekend for an extended stay. Friday afternoon we will be in the Keys at the pool bar drinking manly drinks. No wimpy, girly, fruity drinks for us. Saturday diving if conditions are good. Water temp is only 74 so not sure I want to dip my toes in. After that, maybe Key West for a couple of days.

Hold on....Your making fun of what drinks I may be having when you won't go into 74 degree water in a wetsuit.:confused3 That's like a hot tub around here.:lmao::lmao: Living in Miami has made you soft. :lmao::lmao: Seeing the orthopedist today for the knee. Will let you know the outcome.

No one comes to New England in February. This weekend will be a 30 degree high where we will be building snow men and ice forts. Upon completion, we will be shivering, wet, cold and very irritable. The good news is another storm is going to hit us overnight Sunday so that the Monday commute can truly make it feel like a Monday. I think I'll start drinking now.:scared:

OK, everyone can read again.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

And yes, DD is taunting him at every opportunity.:thumbsup2 The bigger issue is that she is pretty much the same height as he is now. It will change (hopefully) when he hits his teenage growth cycle, but for now she is almost taller than he is. Not a happy topic for him.

Hey guys. Snow day today. Which means no school for the kids, and work from home for me. Which means DS climbing into my lap every 15 minutes, smashing my computer and demanding to watch Vader and Luke's duel on the death star. :headache:

Snow day for us as well. I sent DD to the neighbors for the day.:thumbsup2 They made us cupcakes and basically went in and out of their house all day instead of ours. DS basically did what teenagers do. Split his day between laying on the couch watching TV and playing video games.:lmao::lmao:

Question for you guys. Anyone ever tried a workout program called P90X, I am on my second week. I hurt in places that I didn't know existed... :lmao:

Anyone have any success with this?

Friends picked it up right about the time I hurt my knee. I haven't had the opportunity, but they all swear by it and are still using the DVD 3 times a week.

Goo morning. Is it spring yet?

Ummmm......NOPE.

I thought we had, we were just waiting on CJ to cave to the peer pressure and let us move in to his front yard.

Don't tell anyone, but I heard CJ is away for the weekend. You could all be set up and ready before he got home. And feel free to break into the house and eat and drink his food and spirits. You have my permission.:wave2:

Stay safe if you are on the roads guys. Another dustng of snow, another fatality in the county. Out of 4 winters I have lived here, 3 of those have resulted in someone going into a creek or river in the county.

I see we have some other curling fans on here. I prefer that to hockey. More my speed and I can keep up with the action. :rotfl:

It would be nice to be able to sleep more than 2 1/2 hours a night. For those that do not know, at 3:30, it is awfully quiet out there...

If you can't find trouble to get into at 3:30 AM in Miami you really need the DISDads to load up the bus and pay a visit. :drive:

Morning Guys, the Olympics have begun!
I see why you like the Olympics

Oh yeah, or as I described to my wife. Team shuffle board designed by hockey players.

Nice to see it isn't just me. I actually really like watching curling.

You guys should see if you have a club near you. Best part is you can drink while you do it.

Now now let's not go bash the curling, Dad loved it and I think was on a fire dept team, and my grandfather was very heavy into it, I think to the point he was involved in some sort of capacity at the '76 Commonwealth Games in Edmonton ( same grandfather who played semi-pro soccer and once lawn bowled with Walt Disney)

You can still book August and meet us there again.

Trust me, I very badly want to. Only two things are stopping me. One is $$, the other is DW's boss who took her to task for days off last year it worked out to like just over one a month, but still. I gotta be patient I guess. The Ontario Lottery Corp and I are at a disagreement to what numbers they need to draw each week.

I seriously am a fan this time of year. I'm really going to miss cable the next two weeks.

We do this a lot. We've stayed at lake buena vista plaza ( in downtown disney) a few times. We also stayed in a comfort inn that was Just barely off property. (By the IHOP. )
It was nice, and like $50/ night.

This year, we are staying at campsites at fort wilderness. I figure, one night, why not?
But our May trip is Memorial Day. If that is in your window, we could schedule a meet.

Thanks for the info, but wrong end of the month, we'll be there from 7-14 May.

Yeah... I didn't mean it as a bash. I seriously do enjoy watching it during the Olympics. It, like speedskating, isn't something I'd typically watch in a non-Olympic setting, but I love watching them in the Olympics. It is easy to kind of get drawn in to curling. There's a lot of strategy to it and it is something that the average person can figure out and understand after just watching for a little while.

I've got nothing against curling. Just one of the many things I don't have time to get into. It looks like a great way to get through the winter.

23 days for us. Not sure which day we are heading to AK yet.

...too quiet.

Oh, you actually meant it was quiet, didn't you? Sorry, force of habit.

Clearly, Bieber must be out of town. :lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:

I didn't want to drive anywhere and in reality the neighborhood is pretty quiet. Well there was this one time a few years ago when some guy was breaking into cars and someone down the street saw him, shot him and went back to bed. True story.

Of course I am making fun of you and your wimpy drinks. That is nemie 101. And yes, I am soft as far as temps are concerned. When I was visiting the kid at school last March, I was bundled up and she is walking around campus in a sweatshirt and shorts.

Also, kudos for your DD.

It is much harder than it looks.

This... is a simple game. You aim the stone. You throw the stone. You sweep in front of the stone.
