Naaaa… my experience has been that a Baptist Church gym is precisely the place for such actions.
That would be one of the more noble things I’ve ever seen take place in such a venue.

Thanks guys, talked to the furnace guy and it looks like we will be changing out the furnace. He is coming in the morning when I'm here and we will go over things then. I think I decided on a two stage furnace, the efficiency is really high and I should save a few bucks on my electric bill overall. The government is offering some rebates when you install a new high efficiency furnace so hopefully I can cash in on that.
Trying to find a silver lining somewhere here....

Yah, that stinks.
At least you will have a new unit and not have to worry about it again for a good long while.

On a more positive note, DS8 had a cookie competition at scouts tonight. He manged a 3rd place finish with these

I got a 100 point contract at BWV for $6700 resale. I was thrilled. We have a family of 4 & was happy staying in regular rooms at the value resort. BWV was a major upgrade. BLT is my favorite, but it costs more. The Boardwalk is a great area with walking to two parks. Trading out for other stuff was not a consideration.

Thats not too bad at all. As it stands right now. It looks appealing and one day we might..... I know I would love to stay at Bay Lake (maybe I need to rent points) but as my wife pointed out we were able to stay in a prefered room at pop for $800 with just a AP discount that wasn't even a military discount (I think 10% difference). I just need to make sure we plan trips where we can get that discount.

4 hours of meetings today that could have been covered in 20 minutes. Sucked any motivation I had left in me out but like my dad says though...you got paid for drinking coffee and sitting which beats digging ditches in the rain.

That sounds like a meeting that I would have to go to in the military.

Don't look like much, but he mixed, portioned, and decorated almost entirely on his own. All I had to handle was the actual baking to keep wife from getting .

Congrats to DS and thanks for sharing - he may have a career as the head chef / baker at MK some day.

Good morning all! Enjoyed the Blackhawks win last night, amazing how well Hawks fan travel - place was about 30-40% hawks fans. Speaking of Hawks fans and travel, landed a bit of a coup for January in Chicago - I know January / Chicago what am I thinking. Well, landed some tickets to 2 Hawks games weekend of January 17-19 and here's schedule for me & DS - guys only trip.
Friday fly to Chicago and catch Hawks / Anaheim Ducks game that night
Saturday hit Museum of Science & Industry which has Disney Archives exhibit from D23
Sunday catch Hawks / Bruins afternoon game

Want to wish all, especially you guys dealing with any tough circumstances at this time of year, a great Christmas and know thoughts and prayers are with ya. Pretty cool how Cars Land incorporates Christmas decorations - have a good half way point of the week:

We waited on the free dining or discount promotions initially as well. Then, children started school and we decided not to take them out early. We have a week off in October for Fall Break. So, we did DVC so that we wouldn't have to guess/ wait on promotions. We have enjoyed 5 Fall break trips and a few others in the spring/summer. We've stayed at most if the DVC resorts at WDW, and those at Hilton Head & Vero Beach. I have added and then sold DVC contracts as we were spending too much on extra vacations.

Had the furnace guy at the house this morning and the new furnace is on order, hopefully he can get it in by the end of the week. We have plugged in some heaters so the house is warm. My only concern was pipes freezing, we have a crawl space under the house where all the duct work and pipes are, so it has been very cold the last few days. Like -20 degrees, and that is Celsius. For my American friends that is about "freeze your b@&$ off cold" degrees F.

Well... Left our living room that has a fireplace where I was warm and cozy last night to go to bed and found the rest of the house was 65 degrees. Furnace quit!!!
Plugged in a space heater and cranked the fireplace. Messed around with the furnace for a hour and gave up, had a guy in today who gave me the great news that the heat exchanger is cracked in two places. Unit is about 25 years old so I was expecting it at some point, just not a week before Christmas and on the coldest nights of the year so far. Arrrgggghhh!!

Ouch. Hope the furnace comes soon. This is not the time of year to be without it.

Nowhere near it. The only things that will be on the hunk of meat of goodness are lots of garlic, salt and pepper.

I would throw in a bit of paprika too.

Time to call it a non-hump day. This is one that has had too much drama from the local administrative end, the state government end, and the financial end so while it is good to be on the green side of the sod, I am looking forward to pulling the sheet over my head for the next 7 hours.
