Thanks CJ!!!! I had to work today and run everyone different places this evening so we went to a Hibatchi place yesterday after church..MMMMMM :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday Steve!

I thought "internal auditor" was a 4 letter word and not allowed on these boards.:crazy2:
Sorry, my bad did not know as I always thought it was new kid out of college that I have to again explain how we have built up a successful business and why we do the things the way we do and oh yeah, yes we fill out in triplicate requests to go to the bathroom :lmao:

Got back in the hollar last night. Sitting in the airport in the big city on my way to Raleigh/Durham for a week of meetings. I need a week to recover from all the travel last week. Prayers for those in need, welcome new dads.
I have had a bit of the the planes, trains, automobiles and hotel recently myself. Lousy time of year to be away so hope your travels wrap up this week and wishing you safe travels.

While I love Disney and the monorail is cool, I can't help but think the Hogwarts Express will look so awesome streaming it's way around the tree. Norm already has a monorail. I say go with the Express.

We had the same discussion about Atlantis. Decided to go to Punta Cana, Dominican in February. I'll let you know how it goes, but have heard nothing but great things. Lots to do for the kids and adults. Most places are all inclusive so food/drink is already paid for. Just something you may want to add to your options.:goodvibes

I'll look into Punta Cana. I think DW and I will have to flip a coin on what goes around the tree.

Afternoon gentlemen. The house is decorated. DW and I have been discussing what train to get to put around the tree, a monorail or the Hogwarts Express. Work was uneventful but tips were a bit light.
.

Monorail. You really have to ask?

Drunk DISDads! :drinking1

That's a daily theme - but a good one.

Don't listen to him. Jim still is spelling Disney funny.

If it was a movie I am thinking Dis Dads Go to Jail.

That's a scary thought, even without a mention of soap.

Safe travels.

My FIL wanted to watch the Dog show that was on. I promptly informed him that his television at home works just as well as mine should he desire to watch something other than football.:lmao::lmao:
.

I managed to get one of them changed to the Cowboys game. I missed Detroit game.

Tree looks good Norm. Looks like you either need a new camera or I need to stop drinking.:lmao::lmao: We didn't get ours up yet. DW is still trying to decide between the foyer, living room and den. Will send pics of the outside as soon as we get a day without rain.
:

It was my cell phone camera. I stop drinking every night when I go to bed.

Next trip booked, early May, Saratoga Springs.

Good get. Do you all have a favorite part over there? Congress Park? Springs?

This past weekend we went to Busch Gardens Va. (I don't know if Randall heard the beep when we went by or not:listen:) 6hrs each way for 7hrs of park time:scared1: I'm a Commando I live for these kind of things:thumbsup2

It is lacking what WDW has but in the same sense WDW is lacking what BG has, I guess you would have to go to both to truly see what I'm talking about, but if they were combined it would be perfect::yes::
But it will never happen:rolleyes1

Looks good Norm :thumbsup2
:

Thanks.

Hey guys, still in Sarnia when we should have been home soon. Would appreciate some prayers for my FIL , went to the hospital this morning with difficulties breathing. DW has been with him for around 7 hours now while they conduct tests, pretty sure he's in Emerg. still. They found a mass on his lung thinking either pneumonia or a blood clot there. Only issue is we both need to be at our respective jobs tomorrow morning so it's either a very late return or very early tomorrow morning. Should know something by 8:30-9 tonight.

Prayers.

Declan's team won their tournament today. Blew away the cross-town rivals in the semis and had a tougher time in the final but still managed a 16 point win. Declan got himself into some foul trouble to he had to sit most of the 3rd quarter but had a good weekend overall..

Congrats to DS.

Yeah it is... I had a case of buyers remorse right after I got the special Thor pin. I like to get the mystery pin packs and use then to trade a little but I also like to buy pins that I like. I have about 30 pins or so. One day down and coral reef tomorrow should be good. I got the hulk vinyl just wish I could get Iron man or Thor vinyl.

I have 86, and the bulletin board is not half way filled. I buy enough to get the mystery pin as well.

Morning guys. Lost my fantasy playoff game, but at least the Colts won. Back to work today. DW has to go get our I-800A apostilled first thing this morning so we can overnight it. I cringe at the cost of sending two pieces of paper Fedex overnight

Well, I've been stinking my way thru fantasy year so congrats to you nemesis. I finished 7th last year and will finish 9th or 10th this year. I've got a chance at the Becerly Cup. But, you had a good recovery this year.

A- finding a little people plane with something inside saying your going to WDW when they open the door,

B- Finding a little people bus and painting it to look either like ME or disney transportation with a note

C- Getting the monorail with a note attached to the back that will say you will ride me in 35 days.

A and B would be in a box with lots of packaging or multiple boxes. :rolleyes1

Not sure I'm smart enough to know the difference between plastic and diecast, but it has been durable enough. I like Plan C.

Which is why I'm torn. I think I'm leaning Express too but the monorail costs less.

I appreciate your opinion but you do wear ear rimmed glasses.

Glad you had a good time.

The Pirate Princess is safely back in the Land of Pirates. Rough couple of weeks getting ready for finals but then, vacation time. I have no sympathy for her.

The Thanksgiving meal was tasty. The turkey was as perfect as I have cooked in a few years and the sides came out well. Finished the last of the leftovers yesterday. It was emotional taking that last bite of turkey smothered with gravy. May head to Publix to buy and freeze a small one to have after the New Year.

Posted some of these on FB.

What every Dis Dad eating Cheetah wears for Thanksgiving dinner including compression socks and knee brace

Looking good enough to eat

The real thing next to the vegetarian’s Tofurkey

The “Fixins”

A true surgeon at work

For starters

Felt pity on her so let her have something good to wash down the faux bird

We also put up the tree. Last year we waited until after she got home for winter break. Selection of trees sucked and it seemed like right after we put it up, we were taking it down.

Finished. The background is my Disney collection of cells, lithos and other framed stuff.

Yes, we live in Florida and yes, we have a fireplace so Santa enters the house in the traditional way

A good time. Hitting the mall tomorrow for the final trip to the Apple store over the Mac’s re-boot and the last of Christmas shopping. A new running store opened up so I am picking up the remainder of her Christmas loot.

Ok, I finally finished off the last of the turkey today at lunch (still have a good bit of ham), so i figured i would share a bit of the feast.
This is the first year I was able to host the dinner, for quite a few years we have traveled to my moms. But this year more of us are in Austin so mom and granddad came down to us. Ended up with 8 at the house, was expecting 12 but i will take what I can get.

Here is the feast

bottom up you got; green bean casserole, stuffing with turkey on top, gravy, meat (smoked ham and turkey), regular taters, sweet taters.
bread to sop it up with is on the side under the green towel.
Also there are 4 pies on the counter but for some reason i didnt get a picture of them.

And the carcass

Food looked great. You can pick me up a MacBook while you're there.

Food looked good. We did a turkey pot pie last night and still some more to go. I think there may be some stuffing left, but the rest of the fixins are gone.

It's like me asking you which movie series I should buy? Star Wars or Star Trek. Falcon or Enterprise?

Morning Guys.

Nice pictures of all your feasts, well except for the CJ posted with the fake bird. Half of the picture was good.

Here is a little something for you to play with today.

Tinkle McSparkle signing out.

Good morning, Dads.

Happy belated Birthday, Steve.

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving weekend. Unfortunately I had to come into work until about 3 on Saturday, but it gave me time to catch up on a few things at the office and I could at least watch Gameday and the noon football games on TV while I worked. And as much as I love them, there were no kids yelling, screaming and crawling all over me while I was working and watching football. :rotfl2: Took the day off yesterday but I'm back at it today. I've got some more vacation days to burn so I won't be working more than 3 - 4 days per week for the rest of the year with a lot of 4+ day weekends on the schedule. So that at least makes up for Saturday! :thumbsup2

The real thing next to the vegetarian’s Tofurkey

That is just... wow. :crazy2: :faint:

How does she eat that? :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

‘Morning all…
“Work, work, work, work, work, work… hello boys; I missed you…”

(sorry ‘bout that… We now return you to reality).
Hope all are doing well. Prayers where needed of course.
Brent? How’s your FIL doing?

Steve! Happy Birthday!
Belated… yes… But I hope it was a good one.

Now then, all the pics of leftovers are making my breakfast seem a might paltry.
How long till Lunch?

Cookie McChilly?

Eh… could be worse.
But the concept does remind me of something I miss mightily…

I miss Waterson’s work…
Hard to imagine that he stopped drawing those the same year my son was born.

Good Morning Dads - only 14 work days until Christmas time off!

CJ - Great pics and nice feast. DD went back to school Sunday as well for finals week and is back home for Christmas this Saturday. I'll second the no sympathy for them point :lmao:

Here's a couple of our decoration pics:

Built in bookcase that has Dickens village on top two shelves, North Pole village on the bottom and A Christmas Story in the middle

Main Tree or Santa Tree (we have 6 total) with Disney, favorite team and family / kid ornaments & 1,600 lights
