It was a two cannoli meeting. Stuck here until tomorrow. The meeting ended earlier than planned but too late to rebook flights.

I don't think I've had a PBR since I was in HS...20 years ago...

It wasn't a terrible meeting as I got to see people I haven't seen in about 5 years and got some good research ideas, but I also got to hear more about the dysfunctional federal government than I wanted. We had one individual, who oversees a project with a 5 million dollar budget, tell us that when he tried to talk to the Office of Management and Budget they basically told him to get lost. His 5 million dollars is nothing more than a rounding error in their budget world. I'll take that "rounding error", retire now and never ask for anything from the government again.

College is over-rated. Wish I hadn't spent 9 years there. I'm still pushing the kids to consider HVAC/plumbing/etc. I don't get any significant college benefits working here. Living in EKY my kids would have been competitive for some special scholarships except for the fact that my wife and I have college degrees..

I agree to the extent it is affordable. Currently, I get a free tuition benefit for one kid at a time. They will overlap two years. So, if I get to buy two years and get four free, then I might be able to afford that.

But, the other issue is doing what you really want to do and be happy. I hear so many stories of kids going to college, incurring massive debts, and then being stuck in a miserable, boring job. Me, I didn't have the debt, but I took a miserable, boring job for vacation time, benefits, and retirement. There has to be a better way.

We saw Captain EO in 2011. I was ready to demand a refund for every dollar I had ever spent at WDW. I'll give credit for the nostalgia and the fact that it was before MJ went off the deep end...but my God, i thought that was the worst entertainment experience in the world.

You're missing some great PBR. Maybe we should have a DisDad drinks __________ weekend and do a photoblitz. And, don't be picking on Michael - King of PoP - a great entertainer. I even got th Disney pin to remember that one.

Every time we find some young, energetic, happy Disney interns or noobies,,,we make sure to engage them in conversations with our DD's about the school-Disney programs and have them talk it up. I'm convinced that my DD's are going to work there. The question is who will work there first...them or DW and me!

You still have to be in the college program for that one. If I could just be a MK, Poly, GF route boat captain ........

I'd like to have that rounding error as well. It is said that even after this last round of garbage, they are starting to argue again about the stupid stuff instead of just passing a budget.

I like the photoblitz idea but you can keep Captain EO. I have no respect for Michael Jackson and I refused to go in that attraction.

Tremendous idea.

And for the record, I'm a big fan of MJ's creativity and artistry. To this day I have tons of his music...from Jackson5 era on...loaded in my music library. But I still stand by my opinion that Captain EO should be burned to the ground. Maybe in effigy to the Pepsi commercial "hair on fire" debacle.

The weather channel has 29 degrees for here this morning. It may be time to drop the lawnmower, shave the grass above the dirt, and not cut it until next June. I am the pride of my homeowner's association.

Really Crappy week so I have not been online much. It started off with a client's check bouncing. Their reason? A check they were expecting was delayed a week. I'll hold your damn check, just let me know.

Wednesday a big rain storm came by and I noticed a leak in the roof. Have a temp patch on it but now I get to play Miami Roofer Russian Roulette. Contractors down here are scum but roofers are the worst. Then I get to repaint part of the celling and one wall.

Finally, late last night I was doing some laundry and the water wasn't draining out of my 2 YO washer. Had to use the Shop Vac to suck the water out and the clothes took forever to dry. Appliance repairmen are just a step below contractors. Glad I have Angie's List.

Miami/Pats this Sunday and I have a feeling how that one is going to turn out. Then I get to listen to the BeanBoys do some bragging. Told the Pirate Princess to get her shiv ready for when she sees Paul during marathon weekend. Jim, she has your dossier in case you make it down. At least the Gators are off so I can just sit back and gloat over someone else losing.

Can't totally complain though. I refuse to answer the phone or look at work emails until Monday. Our weather is the envy of the entire nation. I just got back from buying supplies for the weekend, have a nice dinner planned for tonight and the rest of the day will be spent on the couch watching movies. Dirty Dozen is first up.
