I don't know. We'll see how the Patriots do next week against Atlanta. It will be a good comparison to what the Dolphins did with them yesterday. The preseason is finally over for us. Of course while everyone was downing the AFC East, the only losses in the division so far are to division rivals and only 3 losses. Guess it's tougher than projected.

What does IB stand for? Never heard the term. Our kids get loaded with homework every night, including weekends. We heard some new families to town that were shocked they get homework on the weekends. We'll have no issues with college by the time we get there either.

IB is International Baccalaureate. Basically it is AP on steroids. Great prep for college but you sacrifice your social life for the school year.

The biggest thing I don't miss about teaching was parents complaining about the amount of homework little Johnny and Suzy were bringing home.

"No I will not schedule my tests around baseball games."

"The due date for the project is Monday. I am not pushing it back. I'm sorry you'll be out of town all weekend. You have been getting weekly email blasts warning you it is coming for over a month. Not my fault you and your kid didn't plan ahead."

"I will not give your child extra work just so he has something to do at home. He is well organized and a gifted student. I'm not going to pile work on him just so he has something to do before you get home from work."

We don't have that, but DS has been in what they call accelerated classes here (7th grade and up). It's basically the top 10-15% of students have the option to stay in normal classes or go to the advanced ones if they can pass the testing. DS chose advanced (with a little help) and was honor roll all last year so was placed there again this year. He has about 2 hours of homework at night and a half hour of reading which he usually does on the bus ride home.

Tim's self-employed. Therefore, his boss is his wife. But I'm guessing his boss wouldn't have an issue with him watching it the first time. Time number 5 or 6 might be pushing it.

This is turning into a real Beverly kinda day grumble.

DW tried running me down with the van once while I was out for a run. She called it "motivation." The sad thing is that the kids were in the backseat - cheering her on.

Came out of work l once kids are all excited and yelling at me from the car....co worker thought awww they love you, I told them to listen closely they were cheering for the fact once I got up they got ice cream.
