As busy as you've been, and you still volunteer to help a school that Max no longer attends. Not sure whether this makes you a good guy or a sucker. :rotfl2::lmao:

Well I said I qualified to be counted among “the stupid’, so “sucker” is probably the better choice. :rotfl:

Currently waiting to hear what showed up on the buyers inspection of the our current house… that’s got me a little worried (never know what they’ll turn up). Also got to get the financing finalized today and tomorrow and then get the house we’re buying inspected by the end of the week. So, busy is a good description. :headache:

Not a great day. Lost 2-1 to a terrible team. We played the whole game in their half of the field, and while they only got a few shots the whole game, they won. Then, the auto garage door won't open any more(13 years old), and I tweaked my back again. I'm ready for this vacation.

I lost the battle to my waist line years ago. I like KY Bourbon - one of our homemade products I can be proud of.

Yeah, they did really well. How about your first rush for a new team being a TD? Bradshaw had a good game as well. SF might be worried that they can't throw a TD pass in two games. Where is that Alex Smith guy? :lmao:

I've coached those games. Tough to watch when you have 100 shots to 4 and then lose because you can't put it in the net. Sorry about the back and garage opener. Sounds like you'll just need to leave the car in the garage and rest on the couch.

Trying to get my waist line back in order. Not easy since I am still restricted on what activities I can do.:headache::mad: In case anyone was wondering, replacing you patella tendon is not a good idea.

That Alex Smith guy is 3-0 in KC.:lmao::lmao: Good thing too. Can you say QB controversy?

If you guys were closer and could come, I'd love to have you:thumbsup2

But without room to have anyone stay overnight, it would be a long trip for some good eating:confused3

I'm close enough and a hotel room would suffice. And hey, I'll bring Paul with me. That duck bacon sounds awesome! We'll be waiting for the invite.:rolleyes1

Hello Everyone, I would like to Join Dis Dads. My Qualifications are: I will be going on my 4th trip to WDW in 2013, next month, the last 2 were Mancations (no children). I have been to Disney over 35 times in the last 15 years. I also Brew Beer! I think I qualify, so I will wait patiently for my Dis Dad Number.

Welcome.

NOw that I'm caught up from the weekend, we had a pretty good weekend here. On Saturday, DD played her first field hockey tournament. Her team is mostly 5th grade girls and they played in a grade 7-8 tournament (not too many younger teams in our area). DD had 2 great assists and a goal in 4 games. The team went 2-2. Not bad since they are so much younger. Yesterday DS and I took a ride to Gillette Stadium to watch the Patriots Dis-mantle(pun intended) the Bucs. Great weather and a lot of fun. Hope everyone has a good day!

Norm, suggest that you rephrase to "Dues are payable in dole whips, bacon, beer, AND cake."

Don't encourage him. I joined about 4,900 posts ago and I still haven't seen any dues hit my mailbox yet.:confused3

I
Should be an easy week for me -PTL-. I have to drive to campus today & tomorrow and then off Friday. It will be a nice extra travel to return from WDW trip by the time it gets processed. 11 more sleeps.

Where's the ticker? I'd say "feel free to coast until you get to vacation", but at this point we all know you coast every day. Hope the back is better.

Doing some painting in the living room, stopped a minute to flip through the channels and found a MacGyver marathon Monday:cool1:, needless to say the painting is going real slow:rotfl2:

I say you should go all MacGyver on the painting. All you need is your compressor, a garden hose, a sprinkler and some duct tape.

sea shell motel!!!! 1971 to 1984!!!! ask dw to marry me at the (old) sea shell motel. :thumbsup2
What did she say?
What did she say Dave?
Dang it! i should know that all the good jokes get taken if I'm a few days late.
We are DVC and have at least one trip booked per year. We also only do parks every other day so that we can enjoy the resort on those other days. We pick out a new restaurant or two each trip to give us a new experience and hopefully, i will be able to eat my way around the world eventually. We don't get park hoppers, so we stick to the code on those days. We still go commando on those park days (RD to close), but I don't run to rides.

I'm trying to think of something witty about you running to a bacon-coaster and Splash Mountain taking place on a stream of bourbon, but the joke just isn't coming together. Just know I was thinking about it and it's the thought that counts.

Wow. It's great to see other dads who 1) quote hilarious movies. 2) love disney as much as I do and 3) know that shenanigans is more the just a silly word!
This is my first post so a little info:
My name is James and I live in NJ. I have a DS5 and a DD2. We check into POR in 10 days and I can't wait!
Welcome to the club!

THEY are my nemesis (nemeses? nemesises? nemesi?. . .what ever the plural of nemesis is).

I should name names.
I'll let you in on a little secret...there are 750 of us here - no one knows the plural of that word.

Who's running in 2015? I'm in. Mark it down.
Half or Full?
I am sure the Dis Dad eating cheetah will be in. Could there be another epic nemesis challenge? Barry do I need to put the support team back together?
I'm up in the air right now. The problem is timing - it means taking the kids out of school 4 days after their two week winter break. Now that they're both in the IB school, the work load is going to be tougher. And no, going solo is not an option if I value any of my extremities.

Watching Thor and avengers to prepare for the return of Coulson
Phil, Son of Coul!

How did you get your second deer?

At 55 miles per hour while leaning on the horn.
Everyone keeps talking about how they hit a deer with their car. Heck, I chased one through the ditch, across a field and through some brush before he lost me going through the woods. Those suckers are hard to catch!

Hey, I'm posting to get my DidDad #, ::yes::

How is everyone doing this weekend? I'm officially 59 days away from our next trip, SO CLOSE!
Welcome to the club!

Man, its a split stay trip this run.

Poly Nov20-23
Fantasy 23-30(BOAT TIME!)
Wilderness Lodge 30-Dec 3

Can't wait, we've never stayed at either of those resorts, and havent been on the Fantasy before either.
Hard to beat that line up!

But what is it...? It's just as it sounds, a bunch o' DisDads storming the castle. It is being held on Marathon weekend January 9 - 12. Some of the dads, are running the 1/2, and I think a couple are even running the full. The rest of us are there to cheer and jeer, and drink some beer! (That may need to be our slogan for the week guys).
I think that needs to be on a t-shirt.

Morning everyone! Happy Monday!
Is that supposed to be some kind of joke or something? :headache:

Anyone ever try this? :lmao:

DW tried running me down with the van once while I was out for a run. She called it "motivation." The sad thing is that the kids were in the backseat - cheering her on. :sad2:

Hey guys! Did make page 1? :rotfl2:

I thought the Doctor already took care of those.

Thanks for including me in the Group! I live in Louisiana so I have plenty of Bacon and Beer for all.

Wow, this thread is moving. Good to see an influx of newbies and a brisker pace to the chatter. Still the same lowbrow work, but good to see it anyway. :rotfl2:

Way to go!

Who's running in 2015? I'm in. Mark it down.

Not sure yet. Let's get past this one first.

Good Morning Gentlemen

Have a Happy Monday!!

How about them Stee.....er, nevermind. Go Bears!

We're up for the same debate on school. As long as DD7 is keeping her grades up I won't feel too bad about it. Still probably 3 more years before DD3 gets to school being her b-day falls in September. We might try a different race weekend. I've got my eye on the Wine and Dine.

Beverly this morning... Lost my bus pass- book at some point had to get new tickets and was almost late this morning. Naturally I got a lecture from Queen Perfection on my carelessness. Grumble.

Morning Guys,

Hope you have a great Monday. Off to golf in a charity tournament in a couple of hours; should be fun, it's my first round of the year. I hope it doesn't rain.

I miss golf... Have fun!

 You do know that you are stunting her education, right? :rotfl2::rotfl2: I love those threads. How dare you take your daughter out of school to go to Disney. We always got letters from the school every year. I kept all of them (12) and we are planning some sort of fun way to show them off when the kids graduate.
.

I have no worries for the next trip when we pull them out for a week next trip ... As I said to DW "can't get any worse" rofl

Never got a notice from the school about it before. When we pulled Amelia out of Grade 2 for a week they never reacted even though we ASKED for extra work to help her out. Teacher did nothing. I think it'll be different with this school though, they care.

One teacher asked if she could come with us. Heh

Thanks for all the Welcome's. Glad to be part of the Group. Our next trip is in 29 Days.
