Vol fan here...watched that game and it was just nasty. The first half was just ugly!

Ugly isn't the word for it. It was like the offenses did not want to be out there. Here, you have it. No, here, you have it.

It looks like there are some mixed opinions out there as to whether a new QB is a good thing or a bad thing. I haven't really seen much of the Gators this year. What is your thought on that?

Mixed. They have one of the best defenses in the country but the offense is just bad. They got away with it last year by playing not to lose (well, except Louisville). Let the punter boom the ball to flip the field and kick a field goal when you were close. No playmakers at wide receiver and a bad offensive line. Not all the QB's fault.

This year was supposed to be better but not so far. Miami loss was solely on the offense. Defense played great again. Feel bad for the kid but you have to feel good about the new QB. Fourth year Junior, could have left but stuck it out and now gets his chance. Guess we will see how it goes.

Congrats on another Dolphin win yesterday. Looks like you'll be over .500 for at least the first 6 weeks.

I'm up in the air right now. The problem is timing - it means taking the kids out of school 4 days after their two week winter break. Now that they're both in the IB school, the work load is going to be tougher. And no, going solo is not an option if I value any of my extremities.

As a former IB parent, I can understand that. New kid would come into the class and the parent would complain about all the homework the child got. The veteran parents would just smile and shake their heads. Welcome to the IB world. When they get through it though, college is a breeze.

I'm trying to think of something witty about you running to a bacon-coaster and Splash Mountain taking place on a stream of bourbon, but the joke just isn't coming together. Just know I was thinking about it and it's the thought that counts.

DW tried running me down with the van once while I was out for a run. She called it "motivation." The sad thing is that the kids were in the backseat - cheering her on.

Not a great day. Lost 2-1 to a terrible team. We played the whole game in their half of the field, and while they only got a few shots the whole game, they won. Then, the auto garage door won't open any more(13 years old), and I tweaked my back again. I'm ready for this vacation.

Hello Everyone, I would like to Join Dis Dads. My Qualifications are: I will be going on my 4th trip to WDW in 2013, next month, the last 2 were Mancations (no children). I have been to Disney over 35 times in the last 15 years. I also Brew Beer! I think I qualify, so I will wait patiently for my Dis Dad Number.

Lot going on but I’ll see if I can keep up this week. Spent all Saturday helping run a band competition at the local HS; still aching and tuckered. Worse yet, my boy graduated from there last year and I’m still volunteering…

I do believe that qualifies me to be included among the ranks of “The Stupid”.
All my normally retched ball teams actually won this weekend though so that eases the aches a might.

Now that is dedication. Bravo sir!

You do know that you are stunting her education, right? I love those threads. How dare you take your daughter out of school to go to Disney. We always got letters from the school every year. I kept all of them (12) and we are planning some sort of fun way to show them off when the kids graduate.

We got a letter last year cuz Juliana missed 18 days. Only 4 of them were from Disney... the rest were from the flu, strep throat x5, and ear infections.

As busy as you've been, and you still volunteer to help a school that Max no longer attends. Not sure whether this makes you a good guy or a sucker.

I hear you about taking the kids out of school. It is getting tougher. Just tell Bambi that you are hanging out with me for a few days. She'll be sure to let you go. Also as long as your extremities don't include your legs, you'll be fine to run.

I don't know. We'll see how the Patriots do next week against Atlanta. It will be a good comparison to what the Dolphins did with them yesterday. The preseason is finally over for us. Of course while everyone was downing the AFC East, the only losses in the division so far are to division rivals and only 3 losses. Guess it's tougher than projected.

What does IB stand for? Never heard the term. Our kids get loaded with homework every night, including weekends. We heard some new families to town that were shocked they get homework on the weekends. We'll have no issues with college by the time we get there either.

Well, I probably could of went solo, but after Melody met all the DISdads in January she put her foot down.

Actually, I don't know why she didn't let me go solo. Probably cuz we couldn't afford it.
