I got an email PIN for the first time ever. I checked into it and no hotel change, but I was able to upgrade to a pool view Royal Guest Suite at POR for an additional $14 per night. That will be a nice surprise for DD. I know they are fairly new. Anyone stay in one of these. They are supposed to be decorated differently based on the character room you get from what I understand. I'll obviously post pictures when we get there.

To upgrade to deluxe was pretty steep, even with the discount so we skipped it since we want to be able to plan for next year.

I just read about that over on Jim Hill's website. I plan to load it onto the iPad as soon as I get home!

Just loaded it and plan to watch them again tonight with the kids. After baseball, swimming and hoop practices that is.

We stayed in one last August, they are all decorated the same...

The idea is that Princess Tiana moved in, and all the other Disney princesses gave her welcome gifts. Hidden treasures are found throughout the room.

They also have animated headboards over the beds.

DS won his summer hoop game last night by 25 points. Had 18 points, 12 rebounds, 4 steals and a block (plays shooting guard). Now if I can just get him to start growing again. A stat line like that and 6' 5" may actually pay for my retirement.

Yuck... we definitely didn't notice that on our last trip, but then again, we went kind of during the off season. I hope that isn't the case.

It was quite a shock after Disney's Vero Beach. But, were there in August.

Yeah, and some of those restrictions are pretty draconian. IIRC, Sudafed is on the banned substances list. I don't really see how a normal dose of Sudafed is a performance enhancing drug, particularly if you have any kind of allergies and play an outdoor sport.

Darn the luck. I was just thinking about a comeback as I have some NCAA eligibility left.

On my drive home, I hit some big floods on the roads. But up where I am, just heavy rain, no flooding, no power loss, so can't complain.
My folks had no power from about 6:00 pm, until 10:00 pm... so not to bad either. They are in a condo, so no threat of rising waters in there unit.

Good to hear, it seemed to flood in spots here and there, but really didn't know being out of town. We got heavy rain for an hour or so but that was it, my brother in Hamilton got none. Some basements flooded, in thearea, so my brother and I were alarmed about my parent's home, it had a leak years ago.

My brother did joke around but our placing flooding, being both on the river and close to the Lake, but he knew we're 10 floors up and on higher ground. We lost power, but no idea how long. DW's cousin lives on Toronto somewhere, I think north end and is still without power.
