Happy Birthday Paul!

Nice story, Barry!

Good day all!

We were out running some errands last night and decided to pull through the Wendy's drive thru to get some of the 99 cent Frostys as a treat. As I was ordering at the speaker, we could tell the guy working there really didn't care to be (not a big surprise at a fast food drive thru). We drove around and see the guy - he's late teens/early 20s, tattoos up and down his arms and neck. Basically, a really gruff looking guy and, just like when I heard him on the speaker, you could tell he would rather be anywhere else than working the Wendy's drive thru. Then I handed him my Disney Visa (the one with Buzz and Woody on it) and his entire demeanor changed. "Oh Man! You got that one! Cool! They didn't have that one when I got mine! Mine has Mickey on it! Here Look!" He then dug out his wallet and proudly showed off his Disney Debit card.

Well, I didn't have any the other day, but last night I got a few. It has grown probably 2' since I was out mowing the yard on Sunday. It is standing about 8' tall. The plant health is 100X better than it ever looked last year, and a few feet taller, but the crop is far from made. So far everything has gone into making the plant grow, which is great, but with all our moisture, it has a shallow root system, which is a bit of a concern for corn that is so tall and robust above the ground. Even though pollination still has to take place, I am confident that we are going to be in much better shape than we were last year.

Looks like your corn is a little ahead of the stuff around here. Good luck.

Congrats. I have abandoned all hope to resume any exercise program again. May the force be with you.
I need to do something. I need to buy XXL shirts now and I ain't happy about it. I also don't want to be the first one on our trip complaining about how tired they are and how much walking we are doing.

Good morning gents!
Great Day as DS, Sean, turns 16 today :drive: So for all of you Dads still with younger kids keep enjoying all the moments as time can fly by.

On my drive home, I hit some big floods on the roads. But up where I am, just heavy rain, no flooding, no power loss, so can't complain.
My folks had no power from about 6:00 pm, until 10:00 pm... so not to bad either. They are in a condo, so no threat of rising waters in there unit.
Glad to hear all are o.k. & safe
Morning guys :coffee:

We have a one hour follow up with our home study social worker this morning, then that step should be done :thumbsup2

Finished the last part of our required ten hours of Hague training last night as well :cool1:

Happy Birthday Paul & Sean

It's hard to read, but here's a letter from Tiana explaining that.

Here's a sample of one of the hidden treasures, this one is obviously from Jasmine. I'll let you find the rest.... ;)

Disney2012070640x480.jpg

Looks awesome! Thanks for the info. DD will love scouring the room for the secret items. You'd be surprised at how many hidden Mickey's are in our everyday life. SHe finds them everywhere.

Good get, your majesty.

Good stat line. Any chance he'll reach 6'5"?

Thanks, but I am humble servant to the Princess Alexandra. Just ask her.:lmao::lmao:

Not likely to be 6' 5". Doc says over 6 feet, but was not sure how much over. A guy can hope though.

We were planning on staying at a Royal room at POR for this upcoming trip (before I sweet talked DW into upgrading to the Poly.) The kids really liked the looks of the Royal rooms and the headboard with the fireworks - we showed them plenty of pictures of POR, POFQ, CS, and even WL. They chose the Royal Rooms at POR.

I think you all will really enjoy it.

We almost moved to CR, but ended up just going with the Royal room. They seem pretty cool. Saving the Poly for next trip, I think. Trying to decide if the whole family or childless on the next run.

Congrats on getting through all the preliminary stuff. Any idea on when the new family members will be available to move in? It's an exciting time. Continued good luck that it moves along smoothly.:thumbsup2

Since I won't be on during the race to the finish, I think I'll start just a bit early......

I was a fat kid and probably wearing 2XL in HS. I lost the weight in college when I worked third shift at UPS and played basketball during the day. After I graduated and got that office job, it has all caught back up and then some. But, I never am the one complaining about being tired at WDW. My two dds are healthy and in their correct weight range. But, they are the ones who get tired way before me.

I point out as many Disney or pirate references I can find. I have never stayed at the POR, and absolutely love BLT. Still, I'm sure it is a great resort because it is at Disney.

I like this one

So how is the Pirate Princess handling not being able to go out and get a cold one at the local pub:confused3, it was looking like she was starting enjoy it:goodvibes

She did have fun with being able to partake of adult beverages legally. Now she has to go back underground.

Yeah, and some of those restrictions are pretty draconian. IIRC, Sudafed is on the banned substances list. I don't really see how a normal dose of Sudafed is a performance enhancing drug, particularly if you have any kind of allergies and play an outdoor sport. :confused3

Sudafed contains Pseudoephedrine which is classified as a stimulant. It is only banned in-competition and your sample has to contain more than a certain amount. If you stopped taking the pills 24 hours before the competition, you should be fine.

The big thing with the Pirate Princess is she occasionally gets migraines and needs meds. She will need to clear anything she takes with the Trainer. I looked at the drug policy stuff on the NCAA site and it is extensive.

Happy Birthday to Sean. Now the fun begins as a dad. Mine did not get the nickname "Crash" for nothing.

:thumbsup2 Good story. He probably has people judging him by his appearance all day and was finally happy to find someone with something in common. I second the, did you ask if he had any Disney tattoos?

I second that sentiment.

Morning...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY PAUL !!

Starting my new shift tonight, 10:30p - 7am (works better as wife works 9 - 5, so I can sleep before work instead of after). Son helped me out by taking a nice 3 hour nap this afternoon to help daddy catch up on sleep before starting.

I'm 40, in Austin TX, first time dad with a 6 month old (born on New Years Day).

I did that shift before, but that was pre-kids. Took me a bit to adjust to it but I did okay with it. Good luck with it!

Continued prayers it keeps going well

I can't believe you went to Wendy's and didn't try this, though:
Pretzel Bacon Cheeseburger

Not that I really make a habit of going to Wendy's, but if I was going to go, it would be for that.

We stopped there on our way to Sarnia Sunday, so grabbed thatfor lunch. It was good...

I need to do something. I need to buy XXL shirts now and I ain't happy about it. I also don't want to be the first one on our trip complaining about how tired they are and how much walking we are doing.

I'm quite large, but with my job, I'm used to being on my feet contantly going, so I have no problems in the parks. :thumbsup2

‘Morning all…
Lost out Internet access for a while so I’ll start with what I meant to post a while back and then go catch up with the rest of ya’

Good scheduling for being able to watch after little ones… a bit tougher on the relationship.
Make sure y’all look after one and other just as much as you dote on the young’en.
And check in here often when you need to vent or just to say howdy.
There’s a lot of good experience ‘round here to take advantage of.

Progress is a good thing. And it seems to be progressing in the right direction as well.
May that continue and may things work for the best for everyone.
Thoughts and prayers continue for all y’all.

Happy Birthday RODBELDING

Hear, hear! An HBD to the better Belding.
Enjoy the day Paul

(Oh, and Brian… nice GIF there. Good work sir)

I just started Focus T25 workout. Its by the same guy who does Insanity but with no breaks. My body is not happy with me.

So when something is beyond insane we should just refer to it as being: “T25”?
That’s an inside joke I can work with. I ain’t doin’ the work out, but I can work with the joke.

Happy Humpday - everyone else!

“WooooHoooooooooo”

Good to hear… very good to hear.
I can see the concern for the shallow root system, but here’s to the moisture levels remaining above last year’s tally.
