Glad to hear she is doing better. I hope all checks out OK with the pediatrician. :thumbsup2

My son had his first an only fainting spell when he was about 8 or 9 years old. It was a similar sounding incident - he fainted and had some splotches like a rash. They said the same thing - maybe an allergic reaction to something (we are not sure what.) He has been fine and never had another incident like that again - and it has been about 5 years or so since it happened.

Not sure if it was resolved, but prayers and hopes that DD feels better. It really stinks when the kids are not feeling well. Hope it's nothing serious.

Pediatrician said that 75% of the cause of these allergic reactions is unknown, until a second incident happens. We have an epi pen now as a precaution, but he also said it could be a one time deal and never happen again. She'll be n a round of steroids to make sure no more flair ups.

Glad it is only an allergy. We carry Epi Pens when my nieces are present due to bee allergies. Only had to use it once while apple picking. Prayers that it was a one time incident and never happens again.

My DS had a weird allergy for a couple of months where he used an inhaler whenever he had trouble breathing. Went away and it's been a couple of years. Still not sure what caused it, but relieved it'd gone.

When are you heading home Randall? If your driving through the good old democratic state of MA, maybe we could have lunch.

Coming home on Saturday. I will check our times and let you know, Jim. Trying to meet with Paul too.

Been a couple of days since I looked over here.

Norm, belated birthday to Charly and glad (I am assuming your other daughter) is doing better.

Congratulations to Max! We start visiting potential colleges this weekend for my rising Senior. The billing is the part that scares me the most.

The bill is certainly a point of increased anxiety. Insanely high SATs are helpful, athletics as well and especially at smaller schools and oddly enough in the “less glamorous disciplines”. My niece was offered a full ride for swimming at a very small collage this year. It’s not where she wants to go (and the institution isn’t known for what she really wants to study), but it was offered.

Glad Max is doing well getting ready for school. The Pirate Princess's biggest fear was who her roommate was going to be. Luckily she got someone compatible and they got along well.

Good luck Mike on your daughter's search. Speaking from experience, the upcoming bills are something I lose sleep over. It will work out one way or another.

We are heading down the home stretch. Three more nights and we are back to the good old USA. Arrived in London yesterday. Took the Eurostar under the Chunnel. An uneventful trip, much like sitting on an airliner. Did not do much other than getting here. Today we took a sightseeing bus around London. We also went to see a play tonight. It was a tiring but fun day. Tomorrow we visit Churchill's museum and war bunker and take a ride on the Eye.

Glad she is well Norm. That kind of excitement is what turns hair gray. Just make sure you know how to use the Epi-Pen and keep track of the expiration date.

A few more gray hairs sprouted. Fortunatly, they make the epi pins idiot proof now. It talks to you and tells you what steps to do. Really cool - not that I want to use it.

Thanks and yes, she is doing better.

She never had asthma and DW insists she had a reaction to dimetapp, but no other reactions before.

Now that is a Happy Ending! :thumbsup2

Amen.

That's a pretty good work to vacation ratio!:thumbsup2 I already have the $$ set aside for the rental car and we are going to use Disney points for most of the spending. I just can't pay $400 to rent a car and we're looking for deals.

I have to get the fiscal year closed and everything ready for our annual audit before we go to WDW so will be pretty busy between now and then.

Don't worry, it will rebound soon. Just give Obama and the politicians some time, they'll screw it up somehow.

Here to that :rotfl2: I think the 2011 trip we saved because of a good strong dollar.

Glad it was nothing serious, but stay vigilant for a trigger.

Glad to hear she is doing better:thumbsup2, you might want to get a script for a 2nd epi pen for school so the nurse has one, since most of the reaction was unknown it's better to be safe then sorry::yes:: My son has a reaction to all melons, we keep a pen at school just incase, but chances are pretty slim that he will eat any since he knows he's allergic to it and he stays away from it:rolleyes1

Been reading you rant Matt, document everything. Put in on paper, get it off you chest.

Thanks Randall!

It just pisses me off that these people are at least 2 decades my senior and I have to treat them like 4 year olds at snack time.
