Morning guys! Randall guilted me a bit about not coming around enough so here I am! At summer camp this week, and sucking it up with the lousy iPhone interface for the boards. Summer camp is great. Weather more than tolerable! And no one has gone home yet! Hope all is well!

Norm, sorry about the late night ER run. I'm glad that it didn't turn out to be so bad.

It was a decent race from what I saw on tv, but it's always a different experience live. I imagine in was a muddy day.
It certainly was muddy, the track didn't have their walking vendors and the food lines were ridiculously long and they were running out of things. That is almost to be expected at Kentucky Speedway by now though.

That said, this was easily the best race I've ever seen at that track. It seems like in the night races, the leader gets in clean air and he's gone. On the hotter track, it seemed like the leader would get a big lead, but then fall back to the pack late in a run. As the tires wore, you could really see who had their cars handling well and who didn't. I actually wish they'd change it to a day race now.

:wave2: Hi Chris! How's the half marathon training going?

Heads up guys - less than 30 days remaining to pre-order your Dri-Fit DISDads t-shirts. We've got three colors this time - red, black, and yellow. I'm taking pre-orders through July 31, and then this shirt/design combo is probably getting retired. (Click the image to be taken to the order form).

Hi Chris! :wave2:

Randall's right - you need to come around more often! :thumbsup2

Prayers Norm!

Praying for your DD Norm.

Good Morning Men!

Going out to look for whales today.

Congratulations to Max! We start visiting potential colleges this weekend for my rising Senior. The billing is the part that scares me the most.

That is scary! Prayers for your DD Norm.

Do you speak whale?

Thinking about you guys this morning Norm. I hope your daughter is better this morning.

Prayers that all is better.

‘Morning all…

Scary stuff…
Good to hear that things seem to be straightened out but keep us posted sir.
Prayers stilled offered up. We all could use a few on a fairly regular bases.

Nice planning on your part there.
(like we’d expect less from the Commando).
:thumbsup2

“You think you can do these things, but you can’t!”
Oh, and while you’re out there remember… “Don’t touch the Butt”

Thanks.
May the search turn up just the right place for your elder princess. The bill is certainly a point of increased anxiety. Insanely high SATs are helpful, athletics as well and especially at smaller schools and oddly enough in the “less glamorous disciplines”. My niece was offered a full ride for swimming at a very small collage this year. It’s not where she wants to go (and the institution isn’t known for what she really wants to study), but it was offered.

:thumbsup2

Late night ER trips are never good. Glad to hear she's getting back to normal.

Heeeeeeellllllllloooooooo Rrrrraaaaannnndddddaaaalllllllllll!

Wow, that is freaking scary. Prayers and thoughts. Hope she's feeling better this morning.

Morning guys. Rainy day in Maine today. Might take DD to Monster's U. Anybody seen it yet?

Norm, scary stuff; hope she continues to feel better.

Prayers Norm that DD the meds work and for a complete and speedy recovery!

Morning Gents!

Prayers and glad to hear she is back home this morning. Keep us posted and take care.

Norm, sorry about the late night ER run. I'm glad that it didn't turn out to be so bad.
.

Thanks for the prayers guys. She seems to be doing well this morning. We have a follow up with her pediatrician in about an hour.

I don't know why they made it a night race in the beginning. Sure, it is hot in KY in late June, but it is hot everywhere.

Good to see you back over this way, Doc.

Glad to hear she is doing better. I hope all checks out OK with the pediatrician. :thumbsup2

My son had his first an only fainting spell when he was about 8 or 9 years old. It was a similar sounding incident - he fainted and had some splotches like a rash. They said the same thing - maybe an allergic reaction to something (we are not sure what.) He has been fine and never had another incident like that again - and it has been about 5 years or so since it happened.

We had a long vacation weekend in and around the rain drops and thunderstorms. Had a great time and will post some pictures of the kids as time allows. Hope everyone had a great weekend. I'm off to see what everyone has been up to.

T minus 49 days and counting until we will be heading back to WDW.

Paul and Randall, hope your trips went well.

Do you get another long weekend the weekend after? We get one for Canada Day, I can only imagine you getone for July 4

Sorry for the late response. We don't get a full long weekend. They give us Thursday off for the 4th. Right now I'm playing catch up and trying to close out my fiscal year. If I can get enough done by tomorrow night, then I'll take Friday as vacation and then make for another 4 day weekend.:cool1::cool1:

Also have a 4 day weekend planned for the 26th-29th. We are staying with friends in Connecticut for a few days and then just waiting until the WDW trip.

Worked all day, now sitting at a local diner for dinner.

Best of all, before we got here, we finished paying off the trip! Wooooooooo!

Sent from my iPhone using DISBoards

Congrats on paying off the trip. :cool1::cool1: We still have the rental car hanging over us. Everything else done and paid for.

Today was youngest dd's birthday. DQ ice cream cake for the 9 year old - mint choc chip.

Happy belated Birthday to Charley!

Welcome back Chris. I guess Randall is our official guilter now. He may be our senior member so it would be appropriate.

My weekend was Sat night-Monday, so more of a regular weekend, but I only have a 4 day work week now, today to Friday.
Saturday off, and off for all of next week, then work two weeks, another week off, work a week and a half and then our two 1/2 week Florida/Disney trip.

Still got to get the spending cash/lodging money for the way down, and the Canadian dollar went down low again today.:sad2:

Good morning... County Fair week here. I have to be there just about every night. Not looking forward to that part, but I can't wait to clog my arteries with all kinds of junk food.

We have the Topsfield Fair in the fall that is local and I think we are going to take a long weekend and go to the Fryeburg(sp?) Fair in NH this year. We tried to grow the winning giant pumpkin a coupe times. Still can't figure out how to get over 600 pounds. Of course , I'm not sure how I would get it there if I ever had a larger one than that.

1991 Winner for the "Best Forage Entry" in the Waupaca County Fair.
My dad got a kick out of telling anyone that would listen (a even a bunch of people that wouldn't) that it was from hay grown in just over the border in Outagamie County.

That same year I won Reserve Grand Champion Beef Carcass. And that was with an Holstein steer raised on a dairy farm. Man, you should have seen how pi$$ed off all those people were that entered their Angus or Herford cattle.

There's an Aaron Hernandez joke in here somewhere.

:rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2::lmao:

Sitting at the ER with oldest dd. She passed out at home and has an unknown rash. Prayers requested.

Not sure if it was resolved, but prayers and hopes that DD feels better. It really stinks when the kids are not feeling well. Hope it's nothing serious.

:woohoo: With 4th of July this week I was able to tap a extra day onto my vacation next week, a 9 day vacation:worship:

Nice work!:thumbsup2

Praying for your DD Norm.

Good Morning Men!

Going out to look for whales today.

Sorry the trip got cancelled. The rain seems to be unrelenting on along the east coast this year. We have clouds down here, but clearly only a matter of time until they start leaking.

Hope you find something else good to do today. Stay dry.

Morning Guys. Back at the office today, hoping the next two weeks fly by.

Two weeks from today we will be on our way to the Happiest Place on Earth. I can't wait to hear "Welcome Home!"

49 days for us, not that I'm counting.:rolleyes1

Morning guys. Rainy day in Maine today. Might take DD to Monster's U. Anybody seen it yet?

Norm, scary stuff; hope she continues to feel better.

We got around most of the rain this weekend, but back at work today.

Monsters U was pretty good. We saw it the day it came out and everyone had a good time. We saw it in 3D, but not really sure what that added to the movie. Enjoy! The kids say Art is their new favorite. You'll see why.

That's a pretty good work to vacation ratio!:thumbsup2 I already have the $$ set aside for the rental car and we are going to use Disney points for most of the spending. I just can't pay $400 to rent a car and we're looking for deals.

I have to get the fiscal year closed and everything ready for our annual audit before we go to WDW so will be pretty busy between now and then.

Don't worry, it will rebound soon. Just give Obama and the politicians some time, they'll screw it up somehow.
