DIS Dads DDC XXVIII: Stormin’ The Castle Since 2007!

Good morning guys. Hope you all had a great Dads Day. We went to lunch then played putt putt, rode some go karts, played some games in the arcade and the came home and watched a DVD of the Clone Wars

It was a good day

good morning!!! just checking in from Saratoga springs resort and spa.

this place is ok but we like old key west. the newer dvc rooms are like living in shoe boxes with 20 doors.

having a great time!!! spent some time sunday with briana. my fathers day present was she took me to the cast store. they sell, you name it!!! Christmas decorations they don't use anymore. 12ft fully decorated tree for $50.00. flat screen monitors for $10.00. its the walmart for cast members. briana bought me a framed picture that hung in a room at old key west for $8.00.

this was my real present!!




also got to meet a few dads along the way. I met up with will. ( will has the picture)

Hope everyone had a great Father's Day. Our "get together" with my dad etc was Saturday, the whoile family came out for BBQ. All the girls got along, which was surprising and nice, even my youngest DD and my brother's youngest DD who both usually avoid each other (they are very much alike, forceful personalities).
Sunday was a quiet affair, got my gifts, the newest Dan Brown book, and best of all, homemade gifts, a notepaper holder from my eldest, andthe youngest gave me a home made tic-tac-toe set, and got some games in. Dinner was roasted jerk-chicken and the trimmings, and we watched Oz The Grreat and Powerful. Good day.

I am beat and it is only Monday. When is that Disney trip?

So my boys decided to take their dear old Dad to see Man of Steel for Fathers day and I have one word to describe the movie.

WOW!!

As a huge Superman fan this movie did not disappoint, great actors, great story, special effect were incredible without becoming the entire focus of the movie.

I cannot wait to see what comes next!
I couldn't recommend it more highly.

Agreed. Like the Hulk, Superman can't fight against humans - no contest. With today's technology, Superman can challenge most anyone.

Sat we got tickets to Monster Jam 2013 with pit passes, we got them from a friend who has big wig job, seats were 1st level middle field (right at the starting line) 2nd row, we were right next to these trucks, even with earplugs my eardrums were throbbing, we had a great time meet a ton of the drivers including Grave Digger, Zombie, Superman, Batman,El Toro Loco, Mohawk Warrior, Son-uva Digger and more, they were all super cool

I love playoff hockey, but this overtime stuff is taking a heavy toll on my liquor cabinet!

I was nervous when we only scored one in the first period. We totally outplayed you and only got one goal to show for it. You deserve to be up 2 games to none. I'm nervous about tonight.

Happy Fathers Day guys. Plan on spending today enjoying some of DW fine cooking, time with DS, the US Open and a few Smithwicks that I picked up yesterday.

Just returned the boat and took down the campsite from our little weekend excursion on the canal. It was a unique and enjoyable experience. A few pics...

The best part of the trip is we camped and moored the boat by a pub called The Anchor. The building was constructed in 1855 and the same family has operated a pub out of there for over 100 years. Quirky place. Some of the patrons are a hoot.

You have to dodge the birds when you use the facilities.

Been a fun serious so far. Both fan-bases have seen a cup victory in the very recent past, so it makes it less nerve-wracking and more fun.

Agreed, I liked Hulk in the Avengers but not at all in the Hulk movie. The CGI turned the movie into a cartoon.

Really good is better than so-so which is what I thought of Iron man 3
