Great to have you with us Mick! Also, good to see another buckeye in the bunch!! I used to work with a guy nicknamed Mick...he got fired last week. Hope you still around longer :lmao:

Never been fired, but I have had to fire a few. :)

I hope to be around for a while. :)

Morning from Shropshire, UK. Left Miami at 6:30 pm on Monday, arrived at Heathrow at 7 am on Tuesday. The trip was a bit of a bear, crowded and long. Weather in London was a chilly and a drizzling. Good day though. Lots of laughs and good cheer.

Today we go to my Brit friend's sister's place. She has horses and her husband owns a small brewery. The Pirate Princess does not know it yet but she will be riding. She is going to love it. I will be touring the brewery. Win on both sides.

Can't catch up on the posts but will try later. Have a good Wednesday.

Enjoy CJ and God save the Queen :rotfl2:

Off to work...Time to make the donuts...Well I am the manager of a few departments in a hospital, so no donuts..but you all get the jist of what I am saying.

Anywho, by this time tomorrow I will be on the road on the way to Disney, so talk to everyone later!

:)

We've tent camped a few times and I am just not a fan. Give me someplace dry where we can store everything and sleep off the ground. I would love an RV but that is not realistic. So I'll settle for a light camper.

I probably should have been more specific & said that it would involve renting an RV if we did that. No way I'd invest that much $ into an RV! That would take too much money away from The Mouse!

Nice CJ, have a Great time! If you can, post some pictures.

Heading up to beautiful Grand Rapids, MI today. Some big storms for the Midwest later today, stay safe everyone.

I just can't bring myself to watch basketball anymore. The blowouts are no fun and the close games take an hour to play the last two minutes.

And, each team pulls it star players in 4th quarter for each game. Thanks for paying for the playoff tickets, I'm quitting to sit on the bench for the next games blowout.

Agreed, I like the camper as well. Pull the camper, drop it, and then still have the truck to get around in. The RV pulling the vehicle is just too much for me, although, the Madden cruiser does look really comfortable,

You could have just drove up to KY and went riding here as my FIL has horses. I'm sure the flight here would have been cheaper as well. Well, at leas you are out of th house. Time for the gathering in your front yard.

In prep for the drive down to Florida starting Thursday, I bought a bottle of Rainex, and put that on the front windshield.

Anyone have any experience with it? Only cost like 4 bucks, so if it does not work than it's not a huge deal.

My wife actually bought some washer fluid that says it has rainex in it, so that it always reapplys itself when you wash your windows... Hmmm.. Really??

But anyway, I have done everything I can think of to prepare for the trip.

Mick - RainX is a must for any long road trip we do. We can be flying through WV at 75 mph in a rain storm and watch everyone else start to slow down. It's almost like you don't even have to use your wipers.

Just follow the application instructions and it'll work great. We usually do two coats and all windows of our vehicle. :thumbsup2

Morning guys.

OK Paul and Jim. The Stanley Cup Finals start tomorrow. I'm laying it out there for a bet of 1 Dole Whip on the series, I've got Chicago. (I say 1 each because I don't want to put you guys into too much debt). :lmao:

Challenge accepted! :thumbsup2

I have used the mix you put in the washer fluid for several years and it works great.

Have a safe trip.

Thanks, I'll apply a second coat tonight then. Glad to hear that it does the job.

Never heard of it, but you have me intrigued, especially with us driving in August...

I think I phrased my sentence incorrectly. Was really asking if anyone here was the renter of points from someone else and their thoughts on the whole process. Looks pretty easy. My biggest fear is that I rent points from someone, lose my job (or some other major financial disaster) and have to cancel. Most rentals appear to be non-refundable. But, if I'm that nervous about it, probably should just book direct. We shall see...

I've rented points a couple of times in order to stay in Disney resorts I otherwise wouldn't be able to afford. Both times I rented from friends who are DVC owners and were unable to use their points at that point in time. I probably would have felt more apprehensive renting from someone I didn't know. I also probably would have had to pay more per point. It doesn't hurt to ask around.

Morning all…

Seems I’ve been AWOL for a few days here.
(Have I mentioned before that work $@(&s?...
If not I’ve been remiss.)

We did succeed in getting our young’en graduated this weekend though. It was a nice calm respectful ceremony (I may punish y’all with a picture or two later on).

Anyway, I tell you that because we also went to see my niece’s graduations festivities. She goes to a slightly larger school in a much larger city in a very diverse part of town. That was a whole different ball of wax. Starting with the metal detectors at the door and rolling all the way though the ciaos of reading the names over the hoots, hollers and cat-calls. Both kids got their diplomas sure enough and both are now headed off to bigger and better things. I just enjoyed the contrast that no more then twenty miles made in how things were done.

Oh, and by the way… Work $@(&s!
But according to my ticker… in a couple of days I get to leave even that foolishness behind.

Ahhhhhhhhhhh…

:beach:

I picked it up at the local automotive store, but I think Walmart and Target carry it as well.

It is supposed to be like 'waxing' your windshield so the water beads up and rolls off without blocking your vision.

And unfortunately no donuts here at the hospital. I wish I could deal with donuts and bacon instead of the physicians and nurses. :)

Off to the big city for a couple of meetings. Time for Donuts!:cool1:

As others are stating, I've used both with great results. Apply the stuff in the bottle twice as Scott suggested. Works out great and well worth the time and effort.

Maybe using donuts and bacon will help you deal ith them! I know I bribe easily. :rotfl2:
