Thanks guys for all the warm wishes. I'm glad to have it in the books. It just puts us one step çloser to getting them home :thumbsup2

Something you learned at the conference last month I'm guessing..:confused3

You betcha! After going to all these conferences over the past few years...I've discovered I just have to bring back one new idea and run with it to make it worthwhile! :lmao:

The first home study visit is in the books. I think it went failry well. DW is pretty anxious to get these kids home, so when the social worker asked when we wanted to schedule the second visit, my wife said "how about tomorrow?" She wasn't kidding. :rotfl2:

However, it will be towards the end of the month.

Congrats David...I know you were looking forward to getting this first one in the books! :thumbsup2

well its been a few days. been busy with work and the house. digging in down spout drain lines, painting the garage, putting new shutters up and getting ready to paint the house. (its like we are getting ready to sell or something.:confused3)
well briana did pass her quiz, test what ever they called it. she worked on her own for the first time sunday in fantasy land. all went well. she can take her earning her ears off tag but she said she is going to keep in on a bit longer, people go a little easier on you when they see the tag.:lmao:
she is scheduled for 56 hours this week. Saturday she got pulled out into the move it shake it parade. I don't think shes coming home.:lmao:
we leave next Friday for 9 nights at wdw. looking forward to finding out what all these terms she uses. "fish bowl" we are thinking it maybe a break room or something? :lmao:
so that's it, shes no longer a new recruit. we have her schedule for about two weeks in advance if anyone is interested.
I should say the 56 hours includes about 5 hours of class room. they constantly do safe D meeting and other meetings with initials I have no idea what they mean. :lmao:
I like the stories she tells about how and what goes on after the park closes. a lot of people and work gets done. it never stops.
im sure ill post some pictures when we get down there, ill keep you posted if anything interesting happens.
thanks for following along and all your interest!!!!:thumbsup2

AWESOME!!!

Got it, thanks! :thumbsup2

Ours is not set in stone, and I’m certain if will change in mid stream, but the “current” plan goes like this…

Sat 15 - MK (may be late, depends on when we get there)
Sun 16 – EP (Most of the day) – MK (very late)
Mon 17 – headed to the “Dark Side” (may go back to MK late)
Tue 18 – AK (early) – EP (late)
Wed 19 – MK (early) – HS (late)
Thr 20 – More “double-agent” time in enemy territory (again, maybe at MK late)
Fri 21 – HS (early) – EP or MK (late)
Sat 22 – Breakfast at Kona and then toward home

Looks like some potential overlap on Tue at AK and Wed at MK.

I didn't realize you were there that week Rob! Looks like we will overlap on Sunday - the 16th. We're at EPCOT all day as well. I believe Mike Willis will be there that day too.

Other than that - we may run into you Thursday night in MK if you're there. You'll find me easily - I'll be the guy that just OD'd on 'Ohana! :rotfl2:

Oh I know. I don't understand why. It's like they're trying to out "Heat" the Heat. :rotfl2::rotfl:

I love the intensity, but I do kind of wish someone (another Pacers player) would get in West's face and get him to tone it down before he gets a T at some inopportune time. !

Since I don't have a home team, I just enjoy watching good basketball. The Pacers have really took it to the Heat, and James is really the only Heat player, other than Birdman, wh is really playing. The Heat are not making any adjustments, which is really arrogant. But, I doubt their coach is actually in charge - LeBron is going to do what he wants.

However, West already did a cheap shot in Bosh's back and and then swung at one of the Heat's head. I wondered if he yelled h0m0 when being a dirty player. is that out Heating the Heat? Or, is that just Indiana thug ball?

Thanks CJ. It was.

Over the weekend DW took the kiddos to the Disney Store to get some outfits for the trip. When DD walked in a CM came up to her and said, "Merida, we had no idea you were coming in today." She was them taken to the Merida collection. She got the Merida summer dress, tiara, scepter and night gown. along with the Rapunzel night gown. DS got a set of Jake PJs and a Cars swim suit. We've talked DD into picking two costumes if she'll also wear Merida. Her choices now are Merida and Ariel. I find that intriguing because those have been very low on her radar until now. Her favorites have always been Cinderella, Aurora and Rapunzel.

My oldest originally liked Aurora and then moved to Arial. My youngest liked Snow White and then moved to Tiana. Both switched hair color and princess heroine activity.

Congrats on the milestone. DS almost finished with Invisaligns and DD on her way to braces soon.
!

Mine had the top expander and is moving to something else now before braces. The dentist had to pull four teeth (at different intervals).

.
I have eaten one KK donut in my life. The sugar and fat content sent my gall bladder into shock and I had to have emergency surgery. Was in the hospital for 2 weeks and an 8 week recovery period. Thanks for the reminder nemie!
.

Yikes. Krispy Kremes are my favorites.

I do most of the cooking. I was taught early on to take care of myself and don't even need a cookbook. When my wife asked my mother and grandmother for some of their recipes she just got one of these :confused3
:

Same here. I cook stuff from scratch - pancakes most notably - and never measure anything.

The first home study visit is in the books. I think it went failry well. DW is pretty anxious to get these kids home, so when the social worker asked when we wanted to schedule the second visit, my wife said "how about tomorrow?" She wasn't kidding. :rotfl2:

Congrats. The Sicilian brotherhood must have taken care of it.

Still sounds fun to me. Keep us posted.

Between that game, penguins-B's, and return of the Jedi, I haven't had to watch a commercial all night.:thumbsup2

Happy birthday Corey!

That was about as far back as I went to catch up on the weekend posts. :rotfl:

You missed the secret Dole Whip recipe.

Too many posts to catch up on...Happy Birthday...Mondays suck, lol...oh and I agree with Matt...this is going to be a long week as we head out in a few days to try to get Billy Dee Williams autograph...

And I officially hate packing, lol. But the end result makes it bearable.

You missed CJ's credit card number.

Some good parenting going on here.

Cute.

I second that statement! There were a few boys trying to talk to DD this weekend at her hoop tournament. ]

And so it starts. DW drank a few Makers on the rocks to get on stage, but she had a lot of fun. Oldest dd had a great time as well.

Historical fact of today courtesy of the American History Museum.
Today in 1947: The Krispy Kreme Corporation formed, producing dry mixes used by the shops.

Can you install one of those donut conveyor belts at you house? That way, I have something to eat after parking the camper.

Morning Guys,

I am needing some strong coffee to get me going this morning after a long weekend of work. I'm feeling it may only get through to lunch and then it may be time to "work" from home for the rest of the day.

Dunkin Donuts has coffee and donuts.

Are the new price increases going to hit the budget very much?

there's a budget for Disney vacations?

Just sitting on the porch with a nice partagas black label (cigar) and a couple of fingers of Makers letting the weekend wind down and getting ready for the Blackhawks game #2 vs the Kings tonight.!

Sounds good. I'd like to enjoy a good cigar and bourbon again, but I have to hide from by children. Last time, they told me not to smoke because I would die. I'd rather them not pick up that habit, so I'll just have to wait.

Just finished playing soccer and we were threatned with some mean looking storm clouds but nothing happened. Apparently there are some tornado warnings about 2 hours north of us.

Did you play? What position?

Woot. DD lost her first tooth today!!!

Congrats. What did the tooth fairy bring?

Quick question. What kind of shoes does everyone wear? I have some old crocs that I wear all weekend and am about to replace them and wondered if these were the best bet for a full day in the park.

I usually wear Sketchers, but agree, they have to be broken in. One trip, I had new ones and rubbed a blister on my toe and it hurt to wear them. But, I was able to wear crocs and make it thru the parks. Still, I prefer shoes.

Thanks, just a nagging cough at this point. My only two issues in the end are: 1) I have a very forcefull cough, so after a bit it starts to hurt. 2) A coughing fit tore some membranes last year which caused the blood cough-up which started the whole hospital tours etc.

Hope yu are doing better.

Bachelor life is full of temptation. I need to get some groceries and the 5 gallon bucket of lard is a much better deal per pound than the 2.5 pound tub. :confused3 I suppose I should just be happy I get to buy and use lard for the next couple of months and go with the small tub. Don't want SWMBO knowing I am not using olive oil.

Lard is great. I used to save the bacon grease in a coffee can and use it when cooking. DW said that was not healthy, so I'm not allowed to re-use it anymore.

I think she is understanding that she'll get more attention going as Merida and Ariel. The CM calling her Merida was probably the tipping point. And the blue looks really good on her.

On a side note I don't get the whole switching favorite princess thing. My favorite has never changed.

there's a budget for Disney vacations?

Yeah, its called my paycheck.

All caught up.

11 hour days this week with 144 round trip miles each day. I hate being gone all week, but I'll spend next week at home the dds. They did a basketball camp last week together. Oldest will have some dance camp weeks and youngest some soccer camp weeks. Both jealous all you guys at or going to WDW, but enjoying watching the pictures on FB.

Yeah, its called my paycheck.

Yeah, they probably tell the CMs to do that as Disney up-selling practices. I wonder if we know any dads who have a CM in the family? Looks like she is keeping the secrets. I hate that whole budget thing, but it's good when we can say no to ourselves. Now, pass me the box of Krispy Kremes. :lmao:

We don't have Dunkins here and I have to say that I haven't found them to that great when I have visited. I think of them as the Tim Hortons of the States.

I play fullback

Dunkin Donuts isn't bad. I prefer their coffee to Starbucks, although the Blond Roast isn't bad there. I played defender many moons ago as well. I would like to play again, but need to be able to get in shape to do so. Now, pass me the box of Krispy Kremes. :lmao:

Agree with you about Starbucks, not a fan. Only had a Krispy Kreme once but it was great.

As for soccer, all our games are on turf so it's much easier for us old guys to keep playing.

Quick hi everyone. Guess its a good thing I racked up the posts this thread, my Internet went down, and do not want to eat up all my data. Earliest ill be back up and running is Friday. Needless to say, I am a bit annoyed right now.

David, congrats in the first visit

Any prayers and thoughts out to those that need them, congrats to all deserving. Will check now and then so I don't fall behind

DD has taken to quoting Star Wars. Her favorite is scruffy looking nerfherder but she has also been know to say these aren't the droids you're looking for. Her only flaw is that she likes phantom menace over empire. I'm working on that

A couple hours early... but...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RANDALL!!!!

I much prefer Caribou over Starbucks. It seems like Starbucks overroasts their coffee and it tastes burnt.
