Worked from home for the afternoon... DS was sent home from school sick... I don't know what they saw in him, as he looks fine to me. He ate his whole lunch, and then wanted to go outside to play basketball. :confused3

I guess he wanted to stretch out his weekend, and prepare for Game 7 tonight.

Panther here...

Panther? How'd the hell I get Beaver again????:rotfl2:

Brian, you hear anything today re:strike? Again I'm not being told anythingm but you have a better handle on news outlet then I do. :confused3 Not like they tell us anything anyways :headache:

Of all the call signs, Zarf definitely raises the biggest question mark. Count on Mark to get that one. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

No boys, there's one "a" in Zarf. :thumbsup2 :rotfl:

Go Leafs!!!!

The Pirate Princess Pirate has officially finished her Freshman year. Last final was today. She catches a plane around eight and will be home somewhere near midnight. No tuition checks for 4 months. One quarter of college paid for.

Congrats to both your DW and to Amelia. Stage-fright can be tough to overcome. You are rightly proud that she met her fears.

And one day closer to the weekend!

And one day closer to our WDW trip. Seven days and counting. Not that I am excited or anything.

So my questions are: which Epcot CS do you like for dinner? I love the Tangerine Cafe but DW and DD's won't eat there. Also, for the BOG CS how early should we line up? That was DD7's one dining request for this trip and obviously no chance for a dinner ressie this late in the game.

I like Mexico for CS but haven't visited there since the makeover. Also Sunshine Seasons in the FutureWorld has good food and diverse selections. No idea on BOG. We may try to have lunch there on this trip.

Not until 6:00 pm on CTV.... :rotfl2:

I assume "The Beer Store" is not affected by this potential strike?

Nope, they are owned by the big breweries.

The OPSEU facebook and homepages had pictures of some sort of media event today, but no info for us telling us what the status of anything is. By now last time had at least something to vote on, but nothing. No idea how negotiations are going, how far apart etc, completely clueless. The beverly deadline is now 4 days away, and I have idea what the beverly is going on !!!! :furious:

That sucks... if you're going to (potentially) have to go on strike, it would be nice to at least know why. :headache:

Just stockpile supplies over the next few days just in case you need a refreshing beverage in about 4 days. :rolleyes1

I am a lot more vague with stuff on facebook as I am friends with a union rep, and don't necessarily trust everyone I am friends with if I shoot my mouth off, if anyone sees anything weird posted and wonders (as opposed to the normal weird stuff I post) :rotfl2:

Got a decent stash of hard liquor if I need it already. I've pretty much cut beer out, and my drink of choice now is hard ciders, my supply likely running out after tonight's Leafs game. :cool1: I can't replenish it right now, money is a bit tight, till I know what's happening.

According to CityNews, they are encouraging customers to stock up...

It doesn't sound good.

They are saying that part timers have no consistncy of hours.
1 week, they may work 20-30 hours, next week only 2.
about 60 - 70% of the workers are part time.
According to Craig Hadley - OPSEU

They only work part the time?? :rolleyes1

Bless my DW, she is trying to steer me towards more vacation planning.

CTV News at noon - said the same thing...

Sally Ritchie from LCBO - telling people to stock up as well. But she says there is a plan to provide a partial level of service, even if there is a strike. No details, but it sounds like - she is saying between the lines, there may be rotating stores, or heavily shortened days....

If you're looking for some work - in the meantime we're looking for a new product manager... :thumbsup2
