Hey can a Boston Disney nut become a Dis Dad's member?

I'm the family member who drives everyone else nuts with Disney stories, planning, into etc. Until it's time to plan then they all turn to me, along with family members, friends co-workers etc.

As I type this I am listening to the Epcot Entrance Music on my work computer so that should count for something!!

2 trips a year since my first time in 1991. Each August at the Beach Club with the family and each December at the CSR for a work conference!!

I hope my credentials hold up! Just don't hold being a Sox, Pats, Bruins and Celtics (oh and Boston College too) fan against me!!

Jay

I think that counts. Welcome to the board

Hi guys, just thought I'd pop in and say hey...so....Hey!! DW and I both got pins for free Dining for dates extending into Oct!! Woo whoo!!
So it appears that Disney will probably extending this to the general public soon. We will have to start getting some ADRs. Strange that we both got them on the same day.

No not relocated...and no, nor more money...

*SIGNIFICANTLY* fewer headaches though......

Heck I might demand to stay there.:lmao:

Just the new and unknown that'll get ya.:scared:

Fewer headaches is almost as good as a raise.

Sometimes, fewer headaches is the better way. Good luck.

Nothing wrong with POP at all... no need feel like you are "settling"...The pools are great, the girls will LOVE it...

Make sure you "request" the 60's or 70's, main floor room, for the shortest walk to Classic Hall. Disney is pretty good at accommodating requests when they can. We booked a standard room at POR and "requested" Royal Room, and got it.

We will see...no issues going to POP again, this will make trip #5 there. DW did have her heart set on a going somewhere different.

Truth be told, I prefer to not be in the higher traffic areas, my favorite stay was way in the Roger Rabbit building in the 80's. When you stepped out of the room, you could see the "Welcome to Walt Disney World" sign you see when you drive on the property. See below for further twists..

Yeah, I got the same in my mailbox this evening....for some reason I can't get it to work, something about my postal code, I need to call about it.

Now I kinda want to see if I can use it to reduce some costs, with a split stay? It starts August 25th, which is exactly the halfway point of the trip....:scratchin

Nope...wont really do it, going to stay the way it is.

We will see...no issues going to POP again, this will make trip #4 there. DW did have her heart set on a going somewhere different.

Good like with the FD PIN...

But something to think about, is that if you do book FD, you will need to also buy park tickets. Meaning if you start 3 or 4 days prior, you will need tickets then as well. You can pick your tickets up early (from your "package") but I believe it's only 48 hours in advance.
With that said, you can purchase the tickets as part of the package, and just not use them. Stash them away for a future trip... but if you continue booking promos, they generally require the purchase of a park ticket.
Good luck either way... :thumbsup2

I talked smack?:rotfl2: DW kept flipping over, that couldn;t have helped any. Good news is, I gotta do some running around Friday night, will miss the game likely :rotfl2:

:rotfl: No, wasn't referring to you...

Paul, the Pirate Princess was asking what race(s) you are running during marathon weekend?

So far just signed up for the half. Might do the Goofy, but not sure yet. Is she doing the Goofy?

Training run Hell yea!!!!

We'll take a few laps around World Showcase, stopping every now and then for a refreshment. ;)

This will be our 4th stay at POP. We have always been in the 50s Bldg C. In fact the first two times we were in the same room and the third time we were in the room next to it.

Looked at it, to split up the stay, it would actually cost more. Only way to make it cheaper is to change the actual dates, but we're not flexible now. Got all my ADRs booked, I'm happy.:thumbsup2

Not sure the ABCs of it, we've been in order: 50's (Lady), 60's (Playdough, facing lake), 80's (Roger Rabbit, facing woods/parking), 50's (Tramp, facing lake)...I edited the post since I said it would be stay 4, it will actually be stay 5...Math is hard!

Best food court, and not bad for buses, hope the AoA didn't change that.

I haven't heard anything about the busses changing and apparently there is a new menu in the food court.

I had a chance to walk around AoA while I was down at the end of March. It is a pretty cool looking place.

I'm going to the North Florida Joint Terrorist Task Force (JTTF).

Should be a decent gig...just going to take some getting used to.

I have to learn a new system and learn a new Idenfitication Number.

I'm going from "SE 1" to "JX 30".

Doesn't mean anything to you guys, but trust me, it's going to take some getting used to on my part.:lmao:

It's just like having to change the password on your computer. Your fingers will type the old password every time for a week until you get them out of the habit. :badpc: Congratulations on less headaches. :thumbsup2

Kind of creepy. ;) :lmao::lmao:

Everyone knows that the creepy guys hang out on parking lot trams...

If you go through Drums Pennsylvania, watch out for strange vans with some guy yelling "Go Flyers!" out of the window at the local gas station.

:rotfl::lmao:

Go Flyers? I thought they went a couple of weeks ago..:confused3
