2 trips a year since my first time in 1991. Each August at the Beach Club with the family and each December at the CSR for a work conference!!

That's true. We had a cold snap last week and the high one day was 48, the weatherman come on that night and pointed out that the high the same day in Nome Alaska was 49.
It was probably the same in Canada but sadly I am not sure he could find it on the map.

Been in shorts and tshirts past week or so....even when certain states which rhyme with "innesota" were getting snow.

If I were you I'd blame those fans that jump on and off the bandwagon with every win and loss... Pretty sure I remember someone talking smack after the Leafs won game 2. Karma's a B&^%$ sometimes.

Should still be a good series. The Leafs have shown they can win in Beantown, so Friday night could go either way.

I talked smack? DW kept flipping over, that couldn;t have helped any. Good news is, I gotta do some running around Friday night, will miss the game likely

Need help !!! Going to Disney in Aug with family. But then wife and I are going to try and go again by ourselves. We are looking at Sept,oct or Nov. oh when to go?

As a Bruins fan, I have a lot of respect for the fans up there (except the one idiot with the stupid sign at game 3). It's awesome to see all the people in the streets having fun watching outside the arena. And I don't hate Kessel like a lot of people around here. We will be ending the series tomorrow night in Boston though. Will be at the game at center ice!

Issues at first, they wern't letting our TA use the discounts, but she eventually got it. Yeah, we decided to save a little and went with POP. Difference was around $700 , but with work up in the air, best play it safe, y'know?

Wow, this thread moves quickly. I stepped off-line for a couple of weeks and the previous thread closed and we are already deep into this one. During my down-time, DW and I welcomed our DS into this world. He was born 18 April. Can't wait to take him on his first WDW trip.

That's what I meant. Computer codes for transmission. No leaks, so just waiting til it gives put. Plus, the van has almost 190K, so not sure how long it will last. I wouldn't have to sell them, but two big expenses like that would wipe out most of my emergency fund.

We have 2 contracts now, and I have ad-onitis. Would love to add another one, but I am not sure if we'll get long term value out of it. Do you ever rent points to supplement your current contracts?.

Never had the chance because i use them up. This year was first since 2008 we haven't made two trips. Summer hasn't started, and the family is giving travel hints. May be too late to book.

Unless i win the lotto, i think we are good on points for now. I understand when you mention the future. I can imagine taking dds, families, and getting a GV. But, how much do you commit now for the future? Plus, if i get all those points, I'll have to spend more on vacations now.

Should be a decent gig...just going to take some getting used to.

I have to learn a new system and learn a new Idenfitication Number.

I'm going from "SE 1" to "JX 30".

Doesn't mean anything to you guys, but trust me, it's going to take some getting used to on my part.

Nothing wrong with POP at all... no need feel like you are "settling"...The pools are great, the girls will LOVE it...

Make sure you "request" the 60's or 70's, main floor room, for the shortest walk to Classic Hall. Disney is pretty good at accommodating requests when they can. We booked a standard room at POR and "requested" Royal Room, and got it.

Sorry. I have not had to rent any points - been creative with banking and borrowing. We stayed in March/April at Hilton Head and some days at Vero Beach in October on lower points to offset.

Looks like someone ticked off the Heat yesterday. This is a fun series. Reminds me of the old Heat/Knicks match-ups a few years ago. Can't wait to see what happens in game 3.

thanks Dave. I'm still trying to figure out the right number of points for our family so I'm curious how many points other people have and when they bought them.

We bought 250 points in '96 and added 50 a couple of years later. Found it was the right amount for us. Dues are expensive but manageable. I vary size of room and with planning able to splurge once in a while.

The Hawaii/Disneyland trip ate a ton though. No points left this year and about 50+ get released in June 2014. But we do have the May and marathon rooms booked.

One of the local TV reporters tweeted about that possibility yesterday it would provide great energy to what will probably already be an electric United Center. I'll have to see it to believe it though.
