Finally... it is that time of year again. Last year, DD was born on April 27 at 5:20pm. Dad had just finished planting corn around that same time. Here it is, one year later, and we're just getting started on May 1. I was out working until 10:30, but it was a beautiful night. A view from my "office."...

The thought has crossed my mind. Last blizzard I was checking the want ads in Vegas.

I have a cousin east of St. Paul in the land of cheese. No power all day and she said they have set new records for snowfall. 7 Months now they have had snow.

To the best of my knowledge, a 1 or 2 iron have only hit the intended target when swung by a jealous wife - just ask Tiger Woods.

I was going to make an effort, but thought Doc summed it up nicely.

If they offer a RO, we may go with CR instead of POR and skip the meal plan. We have a couple of days that we were going to Discovery Cove and SeaWorld so it may make more sense to go with the RO anyway. I do hope they offer it for our time.

Couldn't find any rehab schedules either. I am assuming that means everything will be open. It's pretty close to change and announce closures now. As long as Splash and RnR are open we are good. Those are the two we missed last time as they were down every time we tried to ride. I heard Starbucks and Fairytale Hall were both July openings. Alexandra is still a little sketchy on the larger rides, but we'll talk her into it.

Good luck averting the strike. That would really stink. Finances are usually not a problem for our vacation. I get a June bonus here (fingers, toes and everything else crossed including my eyes) and we save $$ every paycheck so we can go away. It's usually a matter of local vs. Disney/elsewhere depending on what is in the account when we plan. If there is not enough for Disney, we skip it and go the next year.

We are planning to spend a day a Seaworld, $$ pending. If it doesn't pan out, it's a resort day, maybe some Downtown Disney. Last trip, not too much was down for rehab, Tough to Be a Bug I remember, but we've never done that yet.

Buzz I heard today tells me that the contract talks are going surprisingly well, so things might be looking up, but ther are still two weeks till deadline.

I always liked the room discount as opposed To DP. Good luck.

Thanks....the discount isn;t huge though. We always get the most out of the DP.
Mind you, the discount offered in that PIN back in Jan was substantial.

Out of the last 8 trips we only got the free DP once & once we got Kids play & stay free, it seems when offered it always ends a few days before we get there or starts on our last day, Usually they make the offer closer to the date, the 2 times we actually got something free I already had the trip and ADR's booked, although I'd love to get something for free, I can't drive myself crazy about it, since I have to pick my vacation weeks in Jan, so I don't expect anything but it's always nice to save some cash if you are able to change the time you are going

Iron Man 3 opens today.

I haven't seen any of the Marvel movies in the theater, and DW would complain that we never watch movies she likes anytime I'd watch one on blu-ray or DVD. The other day, when an Iron Man 3 commercial was on TV, DW said she can't wait to see it. And she seemed to sincerely mean it.
