Friday afternoon ownage.

Third snow day this month. Eight inches on the ground and it is still snowing. .

Yikes. The temp dropped 30+ degrees since yesterday here, but no snow.

I texted Paul and he is doing ok, said he is 20 minutes from where they are looking for the coward.

Surprise, surprise... looks like the weatherman cried wolf. All the severe weather and 2"+ of rain ended up being .8" in a light shower.!

It rained out the soccer fields for today's practice. And really cold.

Not trying to start a run, but I remember some members asking for notification when I start a new DISDad thread. Please remind me who you are..

Ran up to the big city to cover my strawberry research plots. Almost 40 degrees colder today than yesterday. I did get to stop at the "Samples Club" as DD calls it for the hot dog combo so it was a good day. I'm easily pleased.

Thinking that tonight will be a good night to watch a movie with the kids after the past week. Puts things in perspective about what really matters. Research reports can wait.

Had a great night watching Bedknobs & Broomsticks with the kids tonight.

Got the technical issues that have been plaguing the other site for the last couple of weeks resolved (if you have a WordPress site, do NOT install the Better WP Security plug-in).

DD is finally healthy (she's been home from school sick since Tuesday), with assists from a ZPak and prednisone.

And got good news about the next round of DISDads t-shirts (we'll be able to print in three different colors - details and pre-orders on the other site soon).

It's been a peanut buttering Beverly of a week since Monday, but today went a long way toward salvaging this week overall, at least in our house.

Watched Mary Poppins with the family last night. Everyone else is still asleep so time to get ready for another busy week.

Morning all. Everyone is sleeping away as usual. The allergy season has hit us hard. We've been taking a cocktail of Mucinex, ibuprofen, Zyrtec, and Tussin to get us thru. Just another reason to hate living in KY - one of the highest pollen/allergen places to live in the US.

I'm thinking my camper plan looks better everyday. Sell the house, use the cash from the equity for gas money, park the camper at CJ's house, and mooch off CJ for everything else. I just can't get DW on board with my plan.

Youngest dd will snot her way thru a soccer game this afternoon. After that, i am not leaving the house for the rest of the day.

DW and I got a date night last night. We went to see Jurassic Park 3d. I wanted to see it just because I loved JP and I was excited about the idea of seeing it in the theater again. I didn't expect much from the 3d effects of a 20 year old movie that was re mastered and actually, I was almost hesitant to see it just because I thought the 3d would disappoint me. I've got to say I loved it. Maybe it was my low expectations, but I thought the 3d effects were awesome. Of course since it wasn't filmed for 3d, you don't have those sight gags of things jumping of screen at you, and that might actually be a positive. It really did add some depth and made you feel just a little bit more immersed in it. Well worth it and I'm glad we went.

Been really busy around here, was working until 12:30 last night.
