Cross-posting. Anyone know anything about transmissions? The SUV, auto transmission has a slight hesitation shifting out of first, and then it feels like the the bottom of the car is falling out when it shifts again. Happens at high and low speed, and low/consistent acceleration. Any advice would be helpful?

Buy a new car.:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2: JK - I don't know a whole lot, but my dad has been a mechanic for 40 some years. I sent it on. Will let you know if he has anything useful as a a response.:thumbsup2

Evening guys.

Sounds fun! Can I raid it with you? :confused3

JK- Jealous, have a blast! :cool1:

Didn't see a response from you. Wednesday or Thursday for lunch? If not, maybe next week?

Been off the Boards for a few days. I'm into week 2 of our "Crazy 2 weeks" which consists of swimming lessons for 2 consecutive weeks accompanied by my oldest DD's First Holy Communion, Religious Education classes and a dry run on Thursday for her First Holy Communion.
On top of that, I wrecked my car last Thursday. No injuries other then the car! Oh, and filing our taxes. yeah, how could I forget that one!
And I took a new job...with the same company,,,but nonetheless, a new job.

Hope everyone is doing well. Gonna try and cycle through the board to see what I missed!

Welcome back. That is a crazy two weeks. Glad you were OK and it was only the car. I hope that new job comes with a shiny new office and a bigger paycheck. Maybe one like if you win publishers clearing house.:thumbsup2

Pickled herring and hard boiled eggs.

Congrats to UL Cardinals. Another championship for a Kentucky school. This just in - tuition rates at KY universities to double next year.

Sent from my iPad using DISBoards

I hope you get in state tuition.:faint::lmao: Congrats to you and Kentucky. Boo to me as if Michigan won I made some pool $$.

Does that mean you get a raise?

Nope. Need to pay the players.

Morning guys. Prayers appreciated, I have a customer who is on the war path and wants my head on a platter. She is making my life an absolute he-double hockey stick right now.

Her company does hardly anything with us, yet she causes more tension than my largest customers. All customers are important, but I wish I could drop them. :confused3

Prayers to you my friend. We have a couple of those customers. The only reason we continue is because they have been with is so long. They used to do a lot of business, but very little now and still expect to be treated like they are one of the top customers. There's always one isn't there?:scratchin

Good Morning Men!

Remember I'm still looking for a Rum Dole Whip with Bacon.

We have talked about a lot of things here in the clubhouse, but this has never come up.
Looks like we will be flying down to WDW for our Nov trip, and it will be during dinner time. In the pass DW and I would bring something to eat on the plane, on one flight we took PBJ's, it was a peanut free flight. (SW doesn't serve meals.) I remember CJ telling us about a flight from Hades where someone was eating a stinky sandwich.

So, my question to you is, what would make a sky friendly meal?
smiley-vault-character-015.gif

I would go with chicken salad. Some white chicken, a little mayo, a few red and green grapes(cut in half) for sweetness and a touch of white pepper. Bring a long some carrot sticks and you'll think the plane is headed to heaven.

'Morning Gents!

Found out yesterday that DS (who's still baking in mommy's tummy) is already weighing in at 10 lbs 8 ozs with 2 weeks to go! Unless he decides to come earlier, he'll be here next Thursday!!!

I think I need to start allocating more to the grocery budget now. This boy is going to be big!

Good luck and continued health! My DS was supposed to be over 10 lb's. Was actually alb, 6 ounces. Of course his head was huge.:lmao: I agree with Norm. Call Rick Pitino right away.

Hey Norm, I just had an idea.

Didn't they make some kind of tent that you could get for an Aztek to make it basically a poor man's RV?

I think it would look good on some blocks in front of CJ's house. That might be your best bet if it does turn out to be an expensive transmission problem. :rolleyes1

:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl2:

I'm thinking a Zen Italian Cold Cut on sourdough. You know, one with everything. :lmao: And to Hades to anyone who doesn't like it.

Something that I noticed and folks have sporadically noted in our DIS Dads thread....venturing out into other boards on the DIS:scared1:

I have had mixed experiences , but there's def a lot of folks out there that like to rain on folks parades. It makes me appreciate what takes place on this board and the infinite wisdom contained within all of our posts!:rotfl2::worship:

::yes::

Hello guys....been off the boards last couple of days...prayers and thoughts to those that need it. Might try and catch up tomorrow or so, hope everyone is doing good though.

Brent... what's this I am hearing about you potentially striking???

Brian, did they ever get the heat fix at your job?

Yup... it was out for just the week.

The heat wasn't actually broken... :rotfl2:

What had happened was they found a gas leak, and they shut our gas off until we were able to contain it. But when it rains it pours, as they fixed the one they found some issues with older lines that needed to be replaced before the gas company would turn it back on.

Well glad it's back on, hear there might be snow up your way.

Big congrats on your future Notre Dame linebacker or tackle ;) DD was actually 10lbs at birth and was 2 weeks early. Bigger babies are great as they are not as "fragile" DD could hold her head up by herself an hour after finally coming out - no bobblehead thing going on. Again, all the best to you and Mrs.

Sometimes I forget how quickly this board moves.
i logged on on april 2, and it was page 156. now, it's the 9th, and there are 20 more pages.

anyway, welcome to the new members, good luck to the expanding families, and as for first trips to WDW, baby girl was 4 months, and it was the coldest winter in Florida's history.

but, she's been twice now.

Trip for May/June was in the works as of August of last year. In October of last year, we moved into my parents' basement.
As of this morning, the bank has accepted the offer on the house we're trying to buy (in the school district we needed for our middle son.)

so, all in all, I should be settled in by the end of April...

crossing all fingers & toes!

This week has gotten away from me... Already... Next week would be awesome! Let's get it on the calendar! :thumbsup2

Finally got nice weather here in Middle TN, the girls are out tonight, DS and I sitting on front porch, downloading wishes to our our dis playlist, enjoying a nice cigar and a couple of fingers of bourbon (not DS), and sharing with DS DIS Dads criteria and man laws - he is definately a next gen DIS Dad. Don't get any better than this - DIS Dad newbie Mike
