I know. We were just talking about Barry with zebras. So, i instead of reading photographic, I read another similarly spelled word that begins with p, has o & o, and ends with graphic.
Maybe I should have re-read your post to see what it was that you really meant. :rotfl::lmao::rotfl2:

Never been to Aulani, but the 1 BRs are amazing rooms. I was wondering if you booked that or not. Careful, it may convert you to DVC.

I had to do the 1-bedroom in order to be able to put 5 in a room. DVC would be awesome. But I don't think it's right for us. We like to do a lot of road trips where you are on the move and spend 1-2 nights in different locations, and it wouldn't fit that model very well. But we're pretty good at mooching off our DVC buddies when it works out. :rotfl2:

Did they figure out why you passed out?
They called it severe dehydration. Which I found odd as I had been drinking fruit juice and water all day.

Did you follow up with your doctor? In my case, everyone would just correctly assume that i drank too much.
I only do doctors for emergencies or work requirements. Figured I'd skip it for now unless I continue to have issues. I think the staff on board originally assumed I just drank too much. Basically treated me like an idiot for about the first hour until they were able to check some blood work. No temperature, sugar was fine, BAC was 0. Sooo... :confused3

Now you know why I was :scared1:

Well, don't go to Dr. House as he'll try to kill you for 50 minutes before diagnosing the problem. :lmao: Still, that is scary.

Slow day here today. That's ok because I've been super busy at work so it's been easy to keep up. Looking forward to a few weeks of March Madness.

Took the Carnival Pride from Baltimore to the Bahamas. Not exactly sure what happened, as I didn't feel ill. They put me on 'quarantine' in my cabin for the next day just to be safe. After spending a couple hours in the med center with an IV of course :confused3 All I really remember is going down to the casino to meet my wife, getting a bit dizzy and starting for our cabin, and then waking up on the floor of the atrium.

Oh well, like I mentioned before... was still a really nice trip.

Sounds scary.... glad you're ok.

Evening guys. Got my race bib for the sandy Hook 5k in the mail today, so I'm all ready for the disdads meet and run next week. Very excited.:cool1:

Not so excited about Randall's penguins running with us though... :headache:

I don't think you have much to fear from penguins, unless Randall taught them how to stab people.

Another long travel day to finish off our trip. Left Orlando on a 6 am flight this morning and flew to JFK and then Portland Maine. A quick shopping stop and we arrived gome about 7:30 our time. Not as bad as the first day of the trip but still a long one.

I will do a trip report later, this week should be a busy one at work.

It is amazing to realize that I haven't been around here since mid November. :scared1: I'm sorry to my DDC friends for being a BAD egg. :worried:

Yes, life has been very, very busy for me. It's all good, and I'm very pleased with it. But it has definitely put a krimp in my board time, to say the least.

My business continues to grow, and we're very, very pleased with that. It's now been a full year and a half since I left Corporate America, and within that time we've not done too badly. For those who remember that time, I mentioned that our grand plan was to be 3 fold, in our "do it for ourselves" venture, and we officially kicked in to phase II in late December, early January. We now have 2 ventures going, and are looking forward to the day that phase III will kick in. Still trying to get my book together, but even that fell to the back burner. I'm trying to revive it now.

The first phase is of course the business of selling fun. I have been working like a dog the past few months, but it is definitely bearing fruit. I have quite a good number of things in the pipeline for the remainder of this year, and throughout 2014. This past weekend I even received my first re-book while onboard from guests on the Dream. It would have been nice to receive others in the past, but I'm pleased with where we are at this time. We beat our initial expectations for the first full year by about 30%, and saw some fantastic growth. I even made the Top 50 Producers list for November and again in December (out of 600 franchisees nationwide). Trying really hard to repeat that again for March.

In other related news I've been certified in a number of areas, including Special Needs, many of the various cruise lines, Universal, and I got Accredited from CLIA the Cruise Lines International Assoc. (which was a lot of time, hard work and effort based on sales volume, training, personal cruise experience and more). Lots of of info has been avaible on my blog if any one is interested ( I know a few of you follow along). :)

In other news - we go on our first college visit with our eldest in a couple of weeks. Staying local for this one, Butler University. Then later Purdue, Ball State and I.U. We'll see what others he asks to visit. His senior year starts in just a few months...

My middle turned 14, and my youngest turns 9 in about 3 weeks.

And my lovely bride and I turn 19 tomorrow (oh to really be that young again). Starting to figure out what and where we'll go for our 20th. Australia has always been on our bucket list, and now with this business, it seems a bit more feasible. We'll see. For her birthday (in February), I invited her along on the inaugural sailing for Norwegian's new Breakaway (coming up in early May) out of NYC. I'm really looking forward to that one. I love New York! Can't wait to get back there for a couple of nights before we sail.

Between the business ventures, church activities, Scouts (in the midst of Summer Camp season once again planning to take around 95 Scouts and 35 Adults this year), the kids and just doing life... I haven't had much time to even think about these boards. I apologize. I used to really enjoy stopping by daily.
I do think of a good number of you from time to time... and of course those of you on Facebook, I do follow your adventures since I'm on there daily for the business.

Be good! And I'll "try" to pop by more often than once every 4 months! :headache: Otherwise, you'll find me on FB...

Stopher that's Great to hear I new you could do it, sometimes you just have to take the risk:goodvibes Hope you succeed in your upcoming ventures:thumbsup2, are you going to WDW this year:confused3

Thanks Ron.

I was there in early February. I might be back in the fall. Not sure yet. I have a couple of cruises coming up (May, July and January). The two later ones are out of Pt. Canaveral, so I might squeeze in a WDW trip as well.

Bad egg??
I think not.

Businesses don’t build themselves and it sounds like you’re very much headed in the right direction. Congrats on the hard so far and don’t worry about us… we ain’t going no where.

Happy anniversary and if y’all head down under next year, do remember to tell us all about it (time willing of course).

It’s also good that you’re getting started on the college tours early. We’re a year ahead of you and it’s keeping us very busy to say the least. The boy has gotten accepted into a couple of places, but more importantly, to the one place he wants to go. Now we’re just trying to figure out the finances and waiting to hear back form those folks. Deadlines are fast approaching and the tension is building, so again I say… it’s good that you’re starting early.

Holler back when you can and take care sir.
You are missed… but we understand.
:thumbsup2

Had a great weekend of nothing. Went to Church and Religious Ed. Next week will be dress rehearsals for Spring Dance performance and beginning of soccer games. It was nice to have some quiet before the chaos begins. Started marathon training - I watched a marathon of Gator Boys on Animal Planet. :lmao:
I hope team Sparrow doesn't kick me off the team, but I've been running using the couch to 5K program:crazy2:

Happy birthday Darcy.

DW, MIL, and I talked about our plans for Disney while the kids were in ear shot. DD packed her carry on bag and her brother's while we were talking. Apparently she doesn't understand 203 days is a long time still. :rolleyes2
It's never too early to prepare:thumbsup2

Howdy Dads!

Been off the boards for about 2 weeks with the vacation and then getting caught up at work. Was going to post a nice trip report from the cruise, but afterwards determined it would be _really_ boring.

Long story short... weather was quite chilly, we did very little of interest in the ports, and I ended up spending a night in the med center after passing out in the atrium (followed by a day in my cabin).

All told a nice time and it was nice to relax. Just wish things would have turned out a bit different.

Well... off to catch up around the boards!
Ouch! Hope it was just a short term thing. 2x in my life I got violently ill with no root cause. Everything in me came up and ended up at the ER with an IV and then was completely fine.:confused3

Evening guys. Got my race bib for the sandy Hook 5k in the mail today, so I'm all ready for the disdads meet and run next week. Very excited.:cool1:

Not so excited about Randall's penguins running with us though... :headache:
Good luck with that run! What's the top speed for a penguin?

Great news! Hopefully things will continue to go well. And also permit you some more time on the boards!

Had a nice weekend:
~ Skiing with my 5yo DD on Friday.
~ On Saturday went grocery shopping with my youngest and then took both girls to the park after the oldest got done shopping for Communion dresses with DW and MIL. Followed that up with some pizza and beer at a friends while helping them to plan their Disney trip for October.
~ Sunday we did Church, followed by a nice brunch at home and then we were off to the park for over 2 hours! Almost hit 70* in Pittsburgh.

Now patiently waiting for tomorrow to book our October trip through DVC:cool1:

I had to do the 1-bedroom in order to be able to put 5 in a room. DVC would be awesome. But I don't think it's right for us. .

Our only stay in DVC was a 2BR at Kidani. It was amazing
If certain things continue to develop we would have no choice but to buy DVC in order to stay within 1 room! All part of my evil plan :lmao:

Evening guys. Got my race bib for the sandy Hook 5k in the mail today, so I'm all ready for the disdads meet and run next week. Very excited.:cool1:

Not so excited about Randall's penguins running with us though... :headache:

Good luck Paul! Tiny legs on those penguins, they won't keep up for long :thumbsup2

Hi Stopher!

I understand how life goes, but I'm glad you had a moment to stop in and say hi. Good luck on the college visits. You've got some good ones on your list, I'm sure he'll do fine with whatever his choice may be.

I know you have put a lot of effort into your business, and I'm glad to know that your hard work is paying off. I wish you continued success in your efforts!

Happy Anniversary to you and your wife!
