DIS Dads DDC XXVII: Penguins in Paradise!

DS13 and I decided to do a little ice fishing today!

Good eye, Norm, it is bacon wrapped filet mignon. They had non wrapped too!

We seen that more like penguins than don't. So, the title stays. Besides my grandkids like it.

The only thing that can make steak or lobster better is to add bacon to it. As for the title, if the grandkids like it, then that is all the reason you need.

Congratulations tot he girls! They obviously get that from their mother.

We have one more games and then playoffs with DS. We are going in as the #2 seed and have the talent to take the whole thing. I think we start the tournament on March 5th.

Looks fun - minus the cold.

Went to the aquarium this week and the penguins were "on vacation" and all the fish were in the penguin area. I think the attack is imminent at this point. Need to find penguin traps..

Passed on skiing today b\c the DW and I have to get our house in some semblance of order. It currently looks like my old frat house.
So did Church this a.m., made kids lunch and soon onto de-cluttering and cleaning.

Going to head out soon to the Ontario Science Center, we got an offer in the mail for a significant discount on renewing our memberships, and we're going to jump on it, then grab groceries on the way back. Hope everyone's having a good day.

Jodi and I went to see A Good Day to Day! yesterday in Imax. It was good, not as good as 1 or 4 but good. They did show previews for alot of movies. Iron Man 3 is a must see. I forget the rest, except of one. It looked like a remake, but it wasn't, it was a re-issue, of Jurassic Park in 3-D and Imax. While I sat there watching this preview I was WOWed! The big screen the sound and everything! Just wanted to share that with you.

DS13 and I decided to do a little ice fishing today!

Good Dad/son time, but you need to do it the real way, sitting on a 5 gallon bucket in the open scooping ice out of the hole! Only tried it for a couple of winters before I wised up.

Looks like the Dads are having a good day. Church this morning and working on Powerpoint presentations in the office now. Long week with talks at opposite ends of the state on Tuesday and Saturday with the usual beverly in the middle. Family will be back again in a week so the bachelor life is coming to an end.

Rough day yesterday. SUcks got stomped on by Georgetown yesterday. Not sure which I hate worse, Duke or Georgetown.

Awesome! We did some ice fishing yesterday, not a lot of action, one pickerel and two cusk. The cusk were a good size, but man are they some ugly fish!

After watching United States Of Bacon last night with my son, when I started cooking dinner tonight he kept bugging me to cook bacon (being a Dis Dad of course I have a couple pounds on hand), so he wanted to watch United States of Bacon (on Demand TV) while eating bacon, and indeed he did, funny thing is he asked why they always show pigs during the show

Evening guys,

Back from Middle School provincial basketball championships. For a JV team playing against varsity teams, the boys did pretty well. We were in a pool of 4 and finished 3rd with a 1-2 record. All close games and the boys played hard, the other coach and I are pretty proud of the boys. Two more games tomorrow to finish off the District championship. Hopefully that will be the third tournament win for the boys in this short school season.

So anything exciting happen in here the last couple of days?
