Day one went fine...as did day 2. The biggest thing is akmost a "culture shock" where I was pretty much in on everything to being the outsider, not involved with anything. Feels kind of strange, but it'll take time. Definitely a higher-end clientel there too. Will like it better when I feel comfortable there...

Glad to hear the new place is going ok. Do they tip in Canada like they do in America? I know that tipping in Europe is viewed differently. If so, maybe you can carry out purchases to the high roller vehicles for some extra cash.

Morning gentlemen

Please help settle argument with DW. She told DS that all Disney movies have a happy ending. I reminded her Empire Strikes Back doesn't have a happy ending. She said that doesn't count. Who is right?

How long have you been married? :confused3

SWMBO is always right even when she isn't.

'Morning all...

We're on an expedition today up into the North Carolina mountains. My boy has auditions today to be accepted into the School of Music at Western Carolina University. The academic folks have already accepted him and he's more then good enough to be accepted by the professors in the arts department, but the better this goes today, the better the possible scholarship offers will be.

We'll see.

Y'all take care and I'll check back in latter on.

Sounds like a decent start. I think we'll settle in pretty soon.

Can't explain that one...
But at least SC is one of the few South'rn states where the answer a'int: "Walmart" :lmao:

Back in the sunny south. Actually, I think it will be sunny because it is dark outside ride now. House is still here along with most of the appliances. First thing I did was to change in shorts and a T-shirt. I FEEL GOOD.

Welcome back home.
Glad it went well

Could you request checks from Chase for the Disney Visa?? Some of my CCs used to send me checks to use for transfers, so I assumed I could have also used them to pay bills that wouldn't take the card directly. And if the check had a routing number on it along with an account number... then maybe it could be used online?? maybe???

Hummmm... Will have to check into that posibility.

:goodvibes
Ordered my tickets today.
:thumbsup2
Whoo Hoo
Undercover Tourist had a deal. $1021 for 3 adults and 1 child for 5 days.
:hyper:
Now August needs to hurry up and get here.
:beach:

Nice!
I get their newsletter but didn't see anything along that line.
Better go back and look a little closer.

Old Yeller... end of argument.

DW just told me that Lion King is coming to Cleveland this summer. :thumbsup2

Although I've heard that FOTLK at AK is better than the broadway show!

I've seen both.
That's just wrong.

It's a great show and being as it's comming back to our area in August...

I think deep down you know who is right.

:)

Morning Men.

Finally got a decent day here, even some blue sky some morning.

Have a great Friday!

Was using DWs laptop and it was signed in as her...
There was no invasion it was just that I wasn't paying attention. :sad2:

Y'all feel free to give me inordinate amounts of hell over it.

It's not like I could stop ya', now is it.

Got nervous there. Thought I might have to sit up straight and behave. Safe travels and best wishes for the trip.

Lion King is an AWESOME show... and FOTLK is a completely different show, and in my opinion although it's great, it doesn't compare.

Hey Brett

My company has an office near Pittsburgh in a small town called Charleroi, ever heard of it?

matt

Absolutely! Directly south of Downtown. Probably 45 minutes away.
I work Downtown, but live north of the city.

I always order through UT. The savings for a family of 5 pays for a meal or two.

Luke gets a cool bionic hand at the end and meets his long lost dad. That's a happy ending right there.

Broadway show trumps FOTLK. I've seen it a couple times and it's amazing. After 2 minutes of the show, you'll agree. On an unrealted note, DW and I are taking DD8 to Mary Poppins on Sunday.

We're going to Mary Poppins next weekend! I'm really looking forward to that show. Mary Poppins is my favorite live actor/animated Disney movie.

That's a good story. Did you lose a bet? :lmao:

See below. Shawn is right in part. DW will think she is always right, even when she isn't. However, you will always be right. But, as comedian Ralphie May said for men, "in marriage, you can be right or you can be happy".

How long have you been married? :confused3

SWMBO is always right even when she isn't.

:thumbsup2 In the same comedic bit, Ralphie May said that for a birthday present, the gift men wanted from women (other than the obvious one) is a big ole heaping helping of shut the he!! up. You gonna try that with DW.

Old Yeller... end of argument..

Depends on your perspective. Old Yeller wasn't allowed to infect other animals or people on the adjacent farm, so they would be happy.

Stayed up last night and watched Alone in the Wilderness. It is the one where Dick Proenneke builds a log cabin in Alaska next to a lake. I really enjoy watching it and wish I had the skills to build a house with simple tools. I don't think I could live on my own for 30 years like that, but then I wonder if living that way would be better than the path I have chosen.

Of course, there is still the option of my camper in CJ's front yard.

Mary Poppins and Peter Pan are my kids' favorites. Must have something to do with flying. They were mesmerized when they met her in MK last year and Epcot the year before. She gave my son a big ol' kiss on the cheek. When she moved in for it my son turned his head and offered his lips. Freaked Mary out a little.
