Evening Paul, is your DD a skier?

Watching a great movie tonight.

Who are you?

No one of consequence.

I must!

Get used to disappointment.

Well, the dryer died today. Pretty sure it was just the heating element, but I had to take about every screw on the thing out to get to it. Hopefully I can find a new element and get it back together with no left over parts.

Duct tape might come into play if I can't get those holes to all line back up.

Hoosiers are looking good so far tonight.

Good thing you are able to fix stuff like that....I used to tell people my tool box had the yellow pages and a visa card in it..:confused3 I guess the yellow pages are pretty much worthless too now :rotfl:

OK let's kick it off, by this reply I hereby throw my hat into the ring to become an Official DIS Dad Member (Guess this makes me a DIS Grandpa too) .

My wife and I brought our kids to WDW, and now bring our grand-kids to WDW. As each grand-child reaches the age of five. We treat them to their first trip. We've brought three down and at present, have two more to go. "But honey," :worship:I say to my DW "we have to go again. No, of course not. It's not for me. :rolleyes2It's for the grand-kids, it's a tradition..." :duck:

I'm an Amateur Radio Operator, and when on-property, I bring my HT with me to make use of the WDW repeaters. My DW is also a HAM.Our next trip down to the House of the Mouse, will be later this month. We'll be on-property Feb. 17th - 23rd, 2013.

Thanks for letting me play in your sandbox. :)

Welcome to the group. Watch out for that CJ guy. He spends way too much time underwater and I think it is making him a little :crazy:

Hey! No pool pics :scared1:

Morning guys! Taking DD skiing today. Should be fun!

Welcome aboard!:cool1: Apologies in advance for Randall. :rolleyes2

:thumbsup2 <= not a thumb

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Morning Guys,

Enjoying a moring coffee before we head off to basketball in an hour or so. The head coach is away again so I have to put my perfect tournament record on the line. :rotfl2:

Actually the boys know they will have to play well as most of these teams are now gunning for them, an unbeaten record will do that I guess. This weekend's tournament ended up a 7 team tournament so we al play 2 games and then placings will be decided, most likely, by ratios. That means to get a good schedule tomorrow, the boys will have to play excellent defense while putting up lots of points. It should be interesting.

Hope you all enjoy your Saturday!

Hope your game(s) went well. DD dominated in her intramural game. Found the bounce pass works and started dishing the assists all over.:thumbsup2. DS team won by 3 and we are now up to second place. The kids are improving and we are building toward playoffs.

Saturday night ownage!

BTW, if you need some bathroom reading our adoption blog has been updated :thumbsup2:rotfl2:

Thanks. Will check it out as soon as I catch up. Now if I can only remember that link to buy those wonderful bracelets I my wife and DD got for Christmas?:confused3

Mornin' Gents!

Stuck at work today till 4p....and it's snowing, again!

Oh and I'm having a "big game" party tomorrow - you're all invited! :thumbsup2

I immediately got in the car and started driving, but had to turn around since I have a hoop game tomorrow with DS. Maybe next time. Beer, wings and ribs here tomorrow.

Morning..

Good morning guys,

Waiting until my UK friend flies in this afternoon. Then down to the Keys for the night. Won't taunt you about the weather here this morning. Though I saw my nemesis might have snow today. Tee and then a Hee Jim.

No snow here today.:thumbsup2 They said maybe a dusting to an inch tomorrow/Monday, but it is cold.:headache::mad:

DW's uncle is living in Miami now and we may be heading down to visit. If we end up going, we'll have to plan a lunch or dinner. I'll let you know. I'll take some pictures of the lawn for Paul and Norm so they can lay out their new diggs.:lmao:

If you knew my Brother-In-Law you wouldnt like him either....definitely not DisDad material :confused3

I trust your assessment. I just thought that was a funny reason not to like opposing coach.

Congrats to your girls, sounds like they both did very well.

WE won our second game by enough to give us the best points ratio and 1st place with a bye through to the semi-final. The parents were pretty happy because the game isn't until 1 pm tomorrow. It wasn't a very satisfying win though. We totally out-classed the other team and ended up winning by a really big score. It was even more frustrating that the other two coaches were doing nothing to help their kids and then gave me the evil stares after because of the score. There is only so much you want to do to keep your own team from scoring.

Good to hear. This season has been tough, my first one not coaching them. Youngest's team has only had one close game. Unfortunately, her coach couldn't find his way out of a wet paper bag. I stood in and taught the team two offensive sets, but other than that, it is just all athleticism. As for oldest, her coach is trying to teach them double screens, skipping things like passing, dribbling, and posting. I coached to win, but I always taught my players fundamentals. It is difficult to watch, but maybe it is good for me and for them to hear a different voice and see things from another perspective.

I'll keep you guys in mind. I'm not sure we use any of that stuff, but I'll check. If we decide to take vendors I'll add you to the list. I'll need someone to tour with.:thumbsup2

Hello. I'm still available.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::lmao::lmao:

Congrats to them.

I am talking about the SH game. IU is playing that team from "up north" today. I understand Coach Knight will be calling the game. I will listen to it on the radio, I don't have high hopes for the Hoosiers. :confused3

Watching now. It's an excellent game. I'm rooting for Michigan tonight.

Welcome to the club! :welcome:

You seem to be fitting in nicely already. :thumbsup2

So, ummmm, I should read about it in the bathroom? :eek:

You have limes on tap?

Cool!

:rotfl2::rotfl2:

Hope the games went well. We had a 20 point win in the first game, back in a couple of hours for the second.

Congrats!:thumbsup2

I like the 24 ounce mug. Much bigger and you rally have to drink a lot more and faster to keep the beer cold. I do want to be able to watch the game.

You don't like the coach because he looks like your BIL. :lmao::rotfl::lmao:

Youngest had an easy Game - not much talent on the other team. She scored 14 points without much effort. After a few layups/ rebounds, she decided to start shooting from outside. Oldest played the toughest team in the league and held them to only a 10 point win. They had beat all other teams by 20 or more. She scored 8 points today, her biggest output, and played a great all around game. Congrats to your team on win #1.

Congrats on the games. Sounds like you got a couple of gamers there.

Gonna head over and read the adoption blog and then head off to bed. Got an early game in the morning about an hour away.

Good luck to those playing games tomorrow. Enjoy the Superbowl and have a good night.

Nice Norm. Pretty soon she will be getting recruited by UConn! :thumbsup2

Sadly enough, I was approached and asked if she would play in the more competitive league next year by one parent, and a coach in that league asked if I would coach with him. I'm sure he wants dd as a player more than me as a coach.

No snow here today.:thumbsup2 They said maybe a dusting to an inch tomorrow/Monday, but it is cold.:headache::mad:

No snow for some time here, Toronto got hit Thursday pretty good though I hear. Really really cold though, feeling really chilled.

Saturday night ownage!

Where would one find that??? Look, it just happens to be in my signature :thumbsup2. Thanks Jim!

Good morning fellow dads, hope all is well, been away from the boards a few days, but the boards where never far from my thoughts. Was in a sort of winter funk so I rearranged my room and tried to organize alittle ( and by that I mean) throw everything in the closet or empty drawers. We are throwing a Super Bowl party tonight so that also means alittle picking up by orders of the SIL!! Why can't I have a peaceful lazy Super Bowl Sunday? I hope I don't get sued for saying Super Bowl. Well guys can't wait for the game and the 34 hour pre game show!

This is her first year. She's 5, so I figured it was time for her to learn. She's doing pretty well so far, and it's been fun. :thumbsup2
