Instigator…

Very cool!
I may have missed the original conversation but what did you receive a patent for?

:welcome: sir!

Grab a beer and dive in.

Feel free to update it as you see fit.

And about time!

Sorry for your friend, will pray for him.

Hello everyone. I'm Chip, married with 2 kids, DD (12yo) and DS (8yo), we are planning to return to Disney World in November, 15th-23rd. Been lurking around the boards for a while now, mostly reading trip reports and now found the DIS Dads.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome Chip. Did you bring Bacon?
Thank you. Well, I'm not sure if anyone has shared this yet, but here's a relevant flowchart:

Hi Chip! Glad you found us. :wave2: A return to the World indicates previous trip(s)... congrats!
Yes, first trip was in the early 80's with the High School band. Didn't go again until '97 with my wife for our delayed honeymoon. We have been 3 times since with the kids, in '06, '09, and '11.

That map makes it look like we are not part of the South. Nobody in Richmond would want to be considered northern. We were the capital of the confederacy, for cryin' out loud. Around here, they still refer to the civil war as "The Great Disturbance". And the main road through town is Monument Avenue. Every couple blocks has a different statue honoring figures from the civil war.

Besides, we drink sweet tea around here.

Yeah, history was yet another subject I didn't pay attention to. Owensboro has the claim to fame of the last public execution by hanging, but not much else is here. About 2 hours away, Hopkinsville, KY has a monument to Jefferson Davis. In between here and there, there is a Klan Headquarters.

As for the tea, can the spoon stand straight without leaning against the side?

RE: The 'Look'. After 31 years of marriage i conclude if you've gotten the 'Look' it's because you've drawn attention to yourself and that is almost always a bad thing. The issue is what kind of 'Look'. Perhaps it's one of exasperation, or anger, or dismissive indifference. If you're looking for starry eyed adoration, set the way back machine for high school. If you want undisguised lust, use the remote and switch to Cinemax.

You may have been married longer than some of our members have been alive. :crazy2:

You mean the Blue Fugates. Just down the road a piece.

I figured you would get that reference.

Some interesting news when I got home from work. My joint application for a patent has been approved. Funny thing is the first official contact about it wasn't from the Patent Office, it's from a company that makes the copper patent plaques. I guess that's the difference between a 'for profit' concern and a taxpayer funded organization.

Congratulations.

Welcome. Dues are payable in dole whips, bacon, beer, or cake. You mail them all to me, and I will distribute them.

DW and I honeymooned in WDW in 2000. What instrument did you play in band?

Welcome aboard Chip...Great to have you join us!!! If you don't have the bacon, we also accept Dole Whips!:rotfl2:

Hey all....DIS dad here. :wave2: Fairly new to the forums, just saw this thread. Planning our first Christmas trip, Dec 15th-20th. Two DD's, 6 & 5. I'm a nut for Disney. My favorite vacation destination.

Welcome :thumbsup2

Welcome! pirate: Beware of the following... in order of severity from least to worst:

Carl - He's recently switched from Dole Whips to beer.
Randall - Because he has the power to remove you from this list
All Canadians - Well... because they're Canadian :lmao:
DinseyFed - Because he can slam a revolving door :rotfl2:

This list has been created for entertainment purposes only. Some assembly required.

:lmao:

Good luck, nemesis. Did they find your brain this time?

That's harsh.......but the answer is no, I've been married almost twenty years :lmao:

Thanks Norm....I don't seem to have the time I use to have to be everywhere I want to be. Been working a lot of OT since we let a few people go and it has kept me pretty busy. Hoping things will slow down soon so I can get back here regular and get to know the new guys!!

Welcome to all the new dads - at least new to the group.

first day back in the office since July 31st. Still looks the same except for the stuff that someone left on my desk.

Have a good one.
