Good Morning Guys,

As of this morning, I'm in single digits. Woo-Hoo!:banana:

Looking forward to meeting Cliff and Brent while in WDW. Sadly, no JV jokes available as the river has been closed.

Down time when the classes finally start... sounds about right. I miss being in college. :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl:

You mean you miss the beer.

The music majors and the fall sport athletes (mostly football) are the only ones on campus this early. Both groups see classes outside of their “disciplines” as necessary evil. Just like the ball players, the musicians would spend all day, every day playing if it were possible.

A few shots of Beverly will straighten anyone's teeth

Or cause you to gag hard enough to swallow them.
Either way, problem solved.

Okay, gone over my checklist. Except for a couple of items, everything is packed. Now just finish tidying up, easy having the mornings off, and get through three evenings at work. Even had time to take the kids to cool off at the pool.

:thumbsup2 We'll have everything packed and in the foyer by Friday. All your hard work is done. Sit back, relax and just cruise the next few days.

well you see I needed this weekend to get over with fast so I could start my work week so I could go to Disney on fri. Any more questions

Can you speed up the week for at least a few more days? I leave Thursday :lmao:

I need a few more faster days, but will concede them to you guys so you may have a better time in the World before my arrival. :lmao::rotfl2:

DD getting braces today.... there goes my Disney vacation budget.

:worried: At least her teeth will be straight. We just finished off paying for DS in the Spring. DD will need them in the near future. For now, she still has a few too many baby teeth hanging around. I'm actually hoping they hang in there a little longer to put off then next $5K.

Ouch. My oldest has gets set us back around $1500 after insurance. At least we can pay it out as long as she has them on.

If I woke up in the morning with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised.

My problem with all sports is that the seasons are just too long. I am good with the NFL for about 10 games, I'm good with baseball for 100 games, and then I don't personally recognize pro basketball as a sport. But, I watch, but it's tough to get INTO sports for a whole season.

.

:rotfl::rotfl:

I could handle more football but I agree on baseball; after about 80-90 games I lose interest. Now if high school and college football lasted all year I would be good. Same with Calder cup hockey (go Stars)

I really got excited when the Disney counter went to single digits, let alone the trip itself. A week from now I should be on a WDW bus to DTD :cool1:

Oh still have a few odds and ends to do, mostly cleaning and straightening up. Really need to get the girl's backpacks ready for school too, but that can be done at the last minute. Ony thing we need for that are new lunchbags, plan to grab something along the way. All other supplies we have stockpiled over time in a storage bin. :thumbsup2. Got a lot accomplished this morning, including using up food in fridge. Used up the eggs by baking brownies :rolleyes1 Biggest job is keeping Hurricane Audrey from messing it back up. :rotfl2: Will definitely cruise on Wednesday..

Doesn't you heath care take care of that? It's not like you're English!

Nope. Only part of it. We get $1,500 towards each child as part of the health plan. The remaining $3-4K is OOP.:headache::mad:

A lot of plans have nothing at all for ortho. Luckily I decide the benefits and with two kids made sure ortho was included. Of course once it's spent, it may change.

That's a great idea. Use up all the eggs, butter, etc... to make baked goods to ride along with us on the trip.:thumbsup2 Hurricane Alexandra seems to hit our house daily as a cat 5. DS has been downgraded to a chance of t-storms.:lmao::lmao: He has gotten much better at not leaving a mess or cleaning it up.

Look forward to hearing how the drive down goes and finding a time to meet. Sounds like the 2 girls would enjoy wrecking the place together.:rotfl2::rotfl2:

We actually pre-paid for some of our kids' braces. It was the end of our plan year at work and we realized we had $1000 of money left in our flex spending account. Use it or lose it. So we called an orthondontist that we were going to see later this year anyway and made the first of what will probably be many installments.

That was a great idea! We don't have a flex program here. We do have good insurance though.

Yes, I remember all of the "installments". We had 25 equal payments. 2 years of monthly stress related check writing. His teeth do look very nice though. The strategy of attracting a girl from a rich family may still work.:lmao::lmao:

There's no other time in your life when you have access to your buddies 24/7.
No kidding. You go from sending a quick IM and having everybody together doing something fun within the next half hour to going through numerous texts/phone calls just to get a few together to do something maybe once a year. :faint:

Happy Birthday MOOSE615

Happy Birthday Philip.
Weekend is closing. Enjoyed a quiet relaxing one at home. Already dreading another 50 hour week with 700 miles. I'll watch the new Gator Boys in a couple hours and call it a night.
Drive safe.

Good afternoon gentlemen.

I had another crazy busy weekend. Yesterday we invited our moms down for a BBQ and to talk Disney. They like the plan and surprised us. When we went over the funds they told us we were splitting the funds wrong. Instead of the moms paying their own way and us paying for us and the kids they said we split everything 4 ways. That'll save us a ton of money. :woohoo: They also insist we go to the ocean for part of a day so the kids can play in the ocean.

I've been looking at doing the same thing. With the flex account being pre-tax, I can try and convince myself I'm giving myself a discount.

Now that's a nice surprise.:thumbsup2 My parents paid for us to go twice. Nothing like a discounted or free trip. I still remember the call. Mom: We'd like for everyone to go to Disney. Me: Not sure I want to spend the money right now. Mom: Oh, you misunderstood. We a paying for everyone to go. Me: Just let me know what vacation days I need to take off.:lmao::lmao:

Those were carefree, fun days at WDW.::yes::

My family has done the same thing. We are a family of 5- bigger than anyone else's. So in my mind, we should pay the most when we share accomodations. Nope. I'm told that the cost is split evenly between the number of families not number of people..:thumbsup2 Generous in-laws!:cheer2:
