Weekend is closing. Enjoyed a quiet relaxing one at home. Already dreading another 50 hour week with 700 miles. I'll watch the new Gator Boys in a couple hours and call it a night.

Drive safe next week and remember that every mile is one mile closer to Disney even if you are going the wrong way.

Happy Birthday Philip!

Okay, gone over my checklist. Except for a couple of items, everything is packed. Now just finish tidying up, easy having the mornings off, and get through three evenings at work. Even had time to take the kids to cool off at the pool.

How do the weekends go by so much quicker than the rest of the week??? :confused3

well you see I needed this weekend to get over with fast so I could start my work week so I could go to Disney on fri. Any more questions

Morning guys. Took the kids to the splash park yesterday afternoon. I can't believe how great the weather has been this summer! 24 days until the NFL season officially starts, not that I'm desperate or anything :rotfl2:

Can you speed up the week for at least a few more days? I leave Thursday :lmao:

Thanks. Somehow, the mileage thing isn't calculating for me the same way. :lmao:

It's only two days. Something to really campaign for is 4 day work week with same pay.

Safe travels nemesis
:

Thanks. Do you get to go to any Colts preseason stuff?

No, the pre-season games are given to the employees out in manufacturing. The company buys a few more seats spread out through the stadium so they can send 10 employees plus a guest to both home games.

You surprised to see me Clark?

If I woke up in the morning with my head sewn to the carpet, I wouldn't be more surprised.

My problem with all sports is that the seasons are just too long. I am good with the NFL for about 10 games, I'm good with baseball for 100 games, and then I don't personally recognize pro basketball as a sport. But, I watch, but it's tough to get INTO sports for a whole season.

Dude, I agree...

I never had braces, but I've rode Space Mountain a dozen times, and I turned out ok.

:rotfl2:

Braces are not NEARLY as important as Space Mountain visits. But, I lucked out and didn't need braces.

I just need to focus on life for the next 9 months, and not focus on the Disney trip at the end of that time.

Funny I am on the south side of lake Simcoe, Orillia is about 20 min from me and we hardly had any rain. Crazy how isolated these storms are.

Oh and about the alcohol stuff...I sell it for a living too! So I also approve. Lol

Anyone else notice that Nick is still using to old "illegal" logo? :lmao:

:sad2:

Canadians...

:rolleyes1

Peas in a pod :rotfl2:

DD getting braces today.... there goes my Disney vacation budget.

:sad2:

‘Morning all…

Busy weekend in the rearview, busy week ahead. I need a vacation…

Now then, first off:
Happy Birthday MOOSE615

A Happy Belated Birthday to Phillip.

Congrats.
Congratulations to you sir, condolences to your wallet.
Rob, congrats on the empty nest. Condolences on the bills. A worthy investment though. Any pics?
FREEDOM!

Well, except for the bill paying part.

Thanks all. My wallet appreciates your condolences. As for the boy, we heard from him finally late last night. They’ve been on a sun-up to sun-down schedule since he got there and won’t get much down time until classes actually start next week. He’s met all the rest of the folks in his studio and so far gets along pretty well so at least it’s been a good start to the process.
As for pictures…
We only had about two hours to get the room reconfigured and get him and his roomy loaded in before they had to head off for their first meeting and rehearsal so the pictures are limited. I think I’ll put up a post about in in my current TR that goes into a bit more detail, but here’s one (a blurry one) of the dorm after we’d gotten it rearranged…

And one of the boy getting his music together before he had to rush out the door…

I'm glad that she is handling it better than expected (since I'm not sure what was expected to begin with). :lmao:

I'm sure Max will do well and I hope he makes the most of this opportunity that you'll be torturing yourself to pay for. :thumbsup2

“Expected” for nearly any mother losing her “baby” would be something close akin to a nervous breakdown. But then again, the purpose of teenage behavior seems to be to make it a whole lot easier to say “fine… go on… get out of the house… I could use the peace and sanity”.

Rob, Great job by you and your wife on getting you son to a place (physically, mentally, and spiritually) where you are all Happy with.

A little something about being a Empty Nester, Rob, CJ and the rest of you.

Your child(ren) has/have moved out. In a few short years they have come of age. They will come home and say something like, "Hey Pop, how you doing? Do you want a beer? Do you mind if I get one?" And that supply of beer you HAD is now gone, and don't expect your child(ren) to fill it back up. So stock up! You've been warned!

(Yes Rob, I know that Max doesn't like the taste of beer, I didn't ether when I was his age. I learned Better and I'm sure he will too!)
That's what college is for, after all. :thumbsup2 :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:
And I’m very aware of that.
I know dang well that the boy and the brew will be meeting up at some point. If we’ve done a good enough job of raising him though, the collision will be relatively minor.

Congrats and best wishes to Max. Now that you are in the mood, just keep setting aside money and when mine are ready I will forward the bills on to you.

Send them via Norm’s mail box. Stitch will make sure they get to the proper destination.

Hear ya, we are packing DD up this weekend and only 5 days until we send her off.

First one or is this all just old-hat to y’all?

Very well done Rob... Maybe time for a WDW adults only trip...

I like it!
I don’t see it happening for a while, but I like it.
