Enjoy. Anything planned?

Thanks. Up at the lake in Maine, should be a nice relaxing weekend with the family. :thumbsup2

Woo-Hoo!:cool1::cool1: Internal portion of audit complete, only contact with them now will be via email and then everything is done other than the filing in September. Footnotes finished, calculations verified.:thumbsup2

Now a few more days of work and I'll be ready to head to sunny WDW without leaving anything undone.

Nice! Always a relief to have the auditors off your back! :cool1:

Words of wisdom from the oracle so listen up youngsters...

and get off his lawn!!!! :lmao:

I'm fortunate that my dad only likes light beer so whenever people bring something other than that he sets it aside for me. :thumbsup2

Holy Crud!!! People bring your Dad Beer?!?

A little something about being a Empty Nester, Rob, CJ and the rest of you.

Your child(ren) has/have moved out. In a few short years they have come of age. They will come home and say something like, "Hey Pop, how you doing? Do you want a beer? Do you mind if I get one?" And that supply of beer you HAD is now gone, and don't expect your child(ren) to fill it back up. So stock up! You've been warned!!)

Then, you have to re-teach them. Do not return home without bearing gifts of food or alcohol.

In NY it was always Wednesday after Labor Day until the 3rd week in June. SWMBO and DD will be back on Sunday or Monday but we have commitments at the State Fair next week so I think things at our homeschool academy will kick off on the 19th. Not soon enough for me and I wish the public schools gave more homework. There are 3 local girls that have been spending far too much time coming by to visit my son. Hopefully he is smarter than his dad, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

I've thought about homeschooling mine, however, it would be in the evenings after we get home from work. They could still do a learning program on the computer during the day. DW doesn't like that plan.

::rotfl2:

Good to hear on the audit. I'm glad they missed all those under the table cash payments to me.

We just got back from Planes. The kids loved it. The adults were luke warm warm to it. Visually very good, some decent jokes and a slowly predictable story.

Well, guys, I'm getting ready to head out the doorway to the weekend. Looking to have a Great one, you guys have one too!

Have a good one...!!

Don't let the door...... I mean HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND RANDALL!:thumbsup2

I don't know what comes after cats and dogs, but that's how hard its raining here right now. I think I'll stay here a little longer.

All the rain and storms they called forhere, we got only a tiny bit. Orillia and places to the north had some funnel clouds..

I sell alcohol and beer for a living and I approve of this message.

Funny I am on the south side of lake Simcoe, Orillia is about 20 min from me and we hardly had any rain. Crazy how isolated these storms are.

Oh and about the alcohol stuff...I sell it for a living too! So I also approve. Lol

Happy weekend Dads! Been a couple of days since I have been able to check in so sorry if me replies are too many or too late or too whatever...........

With all the Dad's down in WDW, I find the lack of meet ups with Briana and Stewart Disturbing!

Greetings from the World fellow dads. I need Zerf to tell me where Brianna is so I can do a dis daughter meet. My munchkin doesn't think it's fair that only the dads meet. However she is a fan of Barry's family.
We did find her in June and did post some pics back then, again she's a great kid. Look for her at snack stand in new fantasyland between Gastons and Little Mermaid or any snack carts in the hub - hope this helps.
Morning guys. Yesterday my in laws were supposed to visit for a few days. My MIL called at the last minute and said the kids (the grand kids that live with her) had flea bites all over them from being at their moms. She cancelled coming because she did not want to bring any fleas into our house. Seemed legit......until last night she posted on FB, they went to the beach, my SIL house and to church. If she could bring fleas here, wouldn't that work for where ever she goes? I have never had a pet with fleas do I really don't know.

What burns me up is that my daughters were crushed when they found out grandma wasn't coming. She had promised them over and over this summer she would come see them and has cancelled every time. They just cried most of the day and were angry. I could care less what you do to me, but you make my girls cry, and it hits a different nerve. It's not the worst thing in the world. I wish I could vote the MIL off of the island.
So sorry for your DDs, and the IL drama

Married for 3 years, have a 1 year old son and expecting another next month!

Formerly a Passholder but didn't renew in April due to wife's pregnancy, planning to get Annual Passes again later this year or early next year.

Even though I live an hour away I usually vacation there every year for a week, plus monthly if not weekly visits. Planning next long trip for October 2014, once new kid is a year old. Can't wait!!
Welcome aboard - as a semi-newbie it is a great group of guys
Hey just a quick question... I know the season hasn't started yet (although it never ends for us up here anyways) but are there any Hockey fans in the group? Is there a Hockey thread or am I going to have to start one? :) That is all.
Big Blackhawks FAN

We have this thread....

http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=3048320

But you can feel free to start any new threads you like as well.

Zerf is a Flyer's fan
I know ClearScreen is a hockey fan.
Got a few Black Hawks fans around, but not sure if that's a band wagon thing.
Declansdad is a die hard habs fan.
But the real fans here, are BigTikiDaddy and Myself who really know talent....
No band wagon here, first 35 yrs a Chicagoan and go back to Hull and Mikita. May not have passed on but name is Mike for what it's worth.

Nashville Predators fan here, Wild stole our #2 defenseman, I forget his name though, prob be in the AHL soon haha
I'm here in Franklin, nice to see someone from these parts may be a Dads meet at a Preds / Hawks game.
Less than 7 hours and I'm on vacation!!! Yahoo!!

For two days. Then I'm back to work on Monday.
:lmao:
Flyers fan here. We enjoy drafting young players with immense talent, trading them away when we get impatient, and watching them win Stanley Cups with other teams. :sad2:
We thank you for Patrick Sharp ;)

‘Morning all…
I’m officially living in an empty nest. We hauled the boy and off to college yesterday; quite the adventure but a successful operation. DW is handling it better than I expected which is good for both of us. Now to start paying the bill…
Hear ya, we are packing DD up this weekend and only 5 days until we send her off.

Enjoy and by the way thanks for all you do for this group.

MM1971 - Sorry about all the Blackhawks pics - but as we have discussed the cup final was one of the best.

Welcome chad.

I got a text about this topic from a dad so I figured I would try to help out.:lmao:

barry has been trying all week. :lmao: she had a few days off and barry and briana even texting back and forth and still couldn't meet up.:lmao:

ron tried also and is going to give it another try Friday.

there are a lot of factors in her work times. the best thing to do is text me or pm me when your going to be in the mk and I can tell you where she is going to be...... maybe :lmao:

in the evening hours if the cart is not making money, they will send some or all the people home from that cart and close the location. so if it says till 9:30, she may be out of there at 8:00.
they also use her as a floater. she wears a costume that is a standard costume and she will move from cart to cart who ever needs help, lunches etc..... she uses the tunnels to get around so you wont see her moving around.

they also can text her, change her location and times up to 4 hours before she starts. if she works a 6 hour shift, she don't get lunch or a brake so I have no idea where she is that day/night.if its longer then 6 hours she will get a brake and can text me what she has been doing.

starting this week for the next few weeks she only has one day off a week and a lot of hours. the cp program is switching so there are kids leaving and new kids starting so till they get the new kids trained, she will be working more.

she also had the mouse wash her name tag so she has a new one. for some reason they didn't put her college on it but her home town so it now says Nazareth pa.

barry and ron, thanks for thinking of her and taking the time to try to hunt her down. :thumbsup2

the best part is they have to wear a hat. they seem to put all the short, blonde girls in the same cart. I walked by her twice the first time I looked for her and didn't know it was her.

Zerf- we tried too. I was part of the Barry contingent. We will try one more day

Thanks for the review. I'll probably wait to see it at home. I usually only do the movie theatres for the action movies (Avengers, Superman). We did see the Rapunzel and Tiana movies when they came to the theatres for the dds.

Very well done Rob... Maybe time for a WDW adults only trip...

Rob, Great job by you and your wife on getting you son to a place (physically, mentally, and spiritually) where you are all Happy with.

(Yes Rob, I know that Max doesn't like the taste of beer, I didn't ether when I was his age. I learned Better and I'm sure he will too!)

And now Deep Thoughts with Randall...

:lmao: :rotfl2: :lmao:

So that's what it's all about, grooming them to drink beer. :thumbsup2

Best wishes to your DD.

Spare no calories in the the search for the DISDads' children. Maybe they should think of having bacon carts.

Morning...

So in the end, here is what happened yesterday. The VP comes in, likely on a tip from a head office person who shops in the store (there are a few).He and another dept head looked around and I got questioned on the fact our displays were looking thin etc. He thanked me and said he'd be in touch with our district manager to get us some help.

A couple of hours later, the acting DM (the manager of our rival store) comes by bringing a few of her staff ith her to chip in. She took me around to set up a game plan etc and got things rolling.

Keep in mind a co worker and I before that got things going good, had just about caught up to the back stock issue.

I also had issues with a Bell tech wanting to shut down our debit/credit lines, and one thing after another like that. Barely got lunch in, had to keep running out to handle things.

The one thing that worries me will be my boss's reaction, she is a controlling micromanager who holds grudges and can be vindictive. I don't want this comming back on me, I really was just the guy in the wrong place at the wrong time.

Nice to see how the higher ups act, when they cut your budgets, then react when things can't be done. It's the summer! It's going to be busy! Stop going with skeleton crews!

GOODNEWS though, my Photopass+ voucher/disks arrived. Only four more things before we head out Thursday : Packing (tomorrow), Picking up the Tripticks (Monday), Oil Change (Monday) and picking up the US cash. Also want to call reservations and see if I can request a fridge for DW's diabetes and a building request (they ignored it last time, but will keep trying, right?)

Thanks for the review. I'll probably wait to see it at home. I usually only do the movie theatres for the action movies (Avengers, Superman). We did see the Rapunzel and Tiana movies when they came to the theatres for the dds.

Movies get expensive, so we've held off this year. We'll buy the DVDs, so just gotta wait.
