AFC East will be up for grabs all year, but the Fins will find a way to blow it in weeks 15-17, for sure. ;)

Carl and I are at SSR for DDCC2. You coming down? :thumbsup2

I'm planning on it. Looks like I'll need to be there for a couple days the following week anyway for my conference. Just trying to finalize everything. Also trying to see what I can convince the company to pay for.

Paul, you are welcome to stay with us....

There is an extra bed, I am taking one bed, and Scott's gonna sleep here:

Evening gentlemen. I hope all is well. Uneventful week at work. DD decided on Friday that she was going to ride her bike without training wheels. After a half an hour she had mastered the 10" bike and moved up to her 12" bike. She spent the next two hours on that bike.

Congratulations on the milestone. Next thing you know you'll be handing over the car keys.:thumbsup2

Maybe, maybe not. One thing I do know is the Pats are regretting giving up Welker.

I think we all knew that already, especially after he went to Denver for only 6 Mil. At least we signed Hernande........Oh, wait a minute he's not playing either.:headache::mad:

Man, just back from hospital Audrey woke ith a croupy cough just before midnight, aggrivating her asthma. All good though, cleared up now.

Morning Brent. Glad she's Ok. We have had a cold going through our house for a few weeks now.

Evan was running the stairs while training for basketball this week and some klutz stepped on the back of his ankle and twisted it out. He had been running 2-3 miles a day, 3 skills classes a week and training hard, now he basically has to sit for at least a week.:headache: Feel bad for him, he was working really hard and now the old "two steps back" cliche applies.

topless beaches in Canada?

Is eye protection required?

:lmao::lmao::rotfl2::rotfl2:

I love Sam Adam's seasonal brews. Vikings strip the ball at mid field and drive to the Bears two and decide to play it safe and kick the field goal to only go up by 6 with 3:30 left. Knew how that was going to end.

I told DW I want this for Xmas.

Don't think it's going to happen this year after watching Seattle last night. That defense is awesome! I think they'll be setting some records this season. I do wish you luck though.....I have AP in my fantasy league.:goodvibes

Perhaps you would like to look up the following:

  • Sarah Carter
  • Serinda Swn
  • Stana Katic
  • Vanessa Morgan
  • Tricia Helfer
  • Laura Vandervoot
  • Grace Park
  • Evangeline Lille
  • Elisha Cuthbert
  • Cobie Smulders
  • Anna Paquin
  • Cassie Steele
  • Jessica Lucas
  • Emily VanCamp
  • Rachel McAdams
  • Shay Mitchell
  • Jessica Pare
  • Jill Hennessay
  • Neve Campbell
  • Natasha Henstridge
  • Shania Twain
  • Shannon Tweed
  • Pam Anderson
I could go on.

Does anyone on the list actually go to the beach in Canada? Didn't think so.:lmao::rotfl2:

Thanks'. I may ask David to call some of his Sicillian family to go give him that message. DW just explains it away, saying that there is always one family member who is a screw-up, mooches, etc. But, I say there is no reason to subject our kids to those type of idiots. And, even worse, why do we have to let our kids get hurt, their stuff broken, etc. Yes, yet another argument ensued. I just don't get it.

Don't even try. I gave up trying to even discuss the in-laws side. You can't win. Just try to avoid them when you can.

I love Monday morning!!!

That makes it a little better, but not much. Enjoy!

Crud.

Like the rest of you, when the extended family wants to go to WDW, they ask me to plan it. I was expecting to rent points for a week at BLT in the last week of August 2014. Now I'm told that other parts of the family want to go for a shorter trip in October and go off-site at my mom's time share (free). Shorter trip and considerably less magic. It wouldn't be so bad, but I made my Dec. 2013 trip off site because I was expecting the next one to be onsite. That will be three off-sites in a row!:scared1: I might need to sign up for a race down there just to get some onsite time even if it's just me (again).

Only benefit is that by saving money on accomodations, the trips hardly make a dent in the fun budget. When that happens and I keep tutoring as much as I have been, DVC gets a little closer to reality. And if that ever happens, I won't have to deal with this. Timeshares make me feel like I'm just visiting Disney. Onsite is when you are in Disney.

For those of you that remember the story, the Ukranian visitor accepted a family's offer of adoption. Minnesota will be receiving a new Ukrainian teenage girl sometime in the next year. DW was a little sad at the news. I get that. She wishes it had been us but it was clear that we weren't a good fit. But ultimately we're happy that there's going to be one less orphan in the world.

On a slightly related note, I decided to buy Rosetta Stone Russian again (I had returned it before). For whatever reason, DD and I really liked learning it.

Morning guys.

Thinking of Fed this am with the news about the Navy Yard.

I'm so sorry to hear this. I know what a struggle this has been for your family. Thoughts and prayers for you today

Thanks. It was difficult when she was here, but I was never sad when she turned us down. We're good. thanks again.

I think this was a one-time effort for us. But we'll do what we feel called to do. Just last week DW told me to learn French becuase she's been thinking about kids from Haiti. If I could find a facepalm smiley, I'd use it here. By the way if you bump in to a 15-16 yr old Ukrainian girl named Alyona a year from now, tell her I said hi. She's coming your way.

If I stare at this long enough and make a wish, will it make my work go away?

No, i tried that already.:sad2::sad2:

Bummer. We are going to be there last week of August. Would have provided an opportunity for a meet up. Saving $$ for DVC is a good by product though, less magic is :sad1:.

We actually looked around at the resales last week. Still didn't pull the trigger. The old college in 5 years thing keeps getting in the way, but getting closer I think.

Sorry it didn't work out and prayers being sent. DS is learning French. He says all they do is eat in class.

hi guys!!!! some goof wants to say hi!!!!
Tell her hi for us, Dave! I'm glad she's having a good time while working. Or at least she must be good at faking it! :rotfl2::lmao:

Morning guys,

A good day yesterday watching football and getting two surprise calls from friends I haven't heard from in a while. Some good games but I am glad the hype is over on the latest "Game of the Century." Today is more or less the same. Phins take on Indy (I am talking to you Duck). We should see if they are going to contend for a playoff spot this year. The AFC East looks wide open this year (and I am talking to you Nemi). Hope everyone has an enjoyable day today.
Nice game by the fins. Indy has some work to do... not surprisingly.

How come everyone's in-laws are so screwed up except for my wife's?

You're not a nemesis if the cold shower doesn't come on at around 3 am.

Man, just back from hospital Audrey woke ith a croupy cough just before midnight, aggrivating her asthma. All good though, cleared up now.
That sucks. I'm glad she's doing ok now, but those middle of the night hospital runs can't be fun.

Thanks'. I may ask David to call some of his Sicillian family to go give him that message. Sorry about your DD's chin. That would take some skill to get hurt that bad on some double seater go kart.

She is right that every family has them though. DW has a cousin who is about as bad as they can get. Our difference is that nobody in DW's family will let her around their kids. She isn't invited to family events and nobody is shy about letting her know how they feel about some of the things she's done.

If she needs help or support, the family is always there for her, and especially there for her son, who is always welcome... but nobody just hands her cash anymore and nobody allows her around their kids. It can be done, but the whole family has to get on board.

If I stare at this long enough and make a wish, will it make my work go away?
Let me know if it works.

I still feel bad for you guys, but I'm glad you're able to have a positive attitude about it.

I'm glad you're going to continue to learn Russian. Who knows what the future holds? You might need it again at some point anyway.

Morning guys.

Sad news. Thoughts and prayers for all involved.
