So true, I hate the attacks that take place on the DVC boards.

We've even had civil conversations about politics and religion here! But I wouldn't tempt fate so close to election day.

I'm sitting in the room in the dark. Christopher is sleeping. The kid was an animal yesterday. We woke him up at 4:20am. He slept 30 minutes in the car around 11am then slept for 20 minutes around 6. He went to bed at 9:15 last night. He needs time for a little recharging. I guess it isn't so bad... I'm drinking a Dogfish Head 60min IPA.

I ran in the Give Kids the World 5K Gingerbread Run this morning. It was awesome! They raised over $125,000 for GKTW. I finished with a time of 29:30. A little faster then I would have liked to run but being it was only a 5K it was good. Here is a fuzzy picture from early this morning.


I guess no one knows how to hold a camera still these days.

Man, you guys are getting to be running machines. The Marathon Training Pirate Princess called me asking if she could spend $25 on glu shots and energy bars.

Still better than spending it on Jello shots and glow sticks.

I'd love to sign up! Glad I found this place, my wife, DD8 and DD10 are leaving for our FIRST ever trip to the world in December!! My job allows me to spend a lot of time reading and planning every detail of this trip. I'm guilty of reading this site while in my tree stand deer hunting! The whole family is in full Disney mode. Our kids think we are going in February and driving a motor home to Florida, they have NO idea we leave December 16th and staying until Christmas Eve. I would be proud to be a part of DIS Dads.

Sorry to hear about the phone and long wait. It would have been nice to get you in the picture, then it could have been the first Dis Dad NFL convention. It was a good game, and while the suite, food, and Lombardi trophy would have been really cool, those seats David had were really cool.

+1 on the DVC thread in our subforum. Once you get out of our little community here or a couple other small communities on the DIS people can be really mean. A friend was flamed on the main forum for asking about renting a stroller for one of her kids. They acted like she was a horrible parent for wanting a stroller available to her 5 year old, because she might not be able to keep up with her older siblings.

Anyone have any guesses when Grand Floridian points might go on sale?

I won't buy any at the GF. With the BLT points, I'll be over 80 when the points expire and the GF would just be later than that. I'm sure we will stay there once to try it, but before the DVCs were built, I always wanted to stay at the CR, my choice of the deluxe resorts.

That's better (by about a minute and a half or so) than any 5K time I've ever posted. However, the half marathon is a 5K, then 10 more miles.

Morning gents.
Spent Saturday getting the house ready for the twin's birthday party. Then went to work Sunday morning and had to work 9 hours due to DST. The kids had a great party. DS got a ton of Star Wars toys. DD got a Razor scooter. She already ran over her brother's toes. The big hit was the Nerf guns. The living room looks like a shooting gallery.

It might have helped that I had a 2 year old with me in the store and he actually behaved phenomenally until the last half hour or so when he kept begging to go home.

That always seems to help.
