We had this at both the WL and BLT a couple weeks ago. Works pretty well, you just hold your card up to it and the door clicks to open.

Boardwalk had them back in August. Two observations:

1. The Mickey Head cover pops off very easily, exposing the circuitry underneath.
2. If you're holding two or more key cards, the reader gets confused. Often I'll have my card and at least one of the kids' cards in my lanyard pouch. It's nice not having to pull out one card to slide into a slot, but then I had to pull on card out to tap on the door. So I started carrying the kid's cards in my pocket, so when I got to the door, i just had to lean down a bit, let my lanyard pouch smack into the door and boom - unlocked.

Ants...Barry only comes by when I'm cooking bacon..

If you cooked it with cheese, he would never leave.

It's done, and the cooling system is working again. Which is good, because when those afterburners kick in, it starts getting pretty hot. :thumbsup2
Still don't understand the need for a coolant system in Wisconsin. :confused3 :rotfl:

It's just so frustrating to not be able to do more to help him deal with the pain and discomfort he is going through. Hopefully he is feeling better sooner rather than later.
Yeah, that really is frustrating. Hopefully they've got the right dianosis and he'll get feeling better quickly.

Thanks for the latest venting. After tomorrow I might starrt feeling better as it is put behind me and I move forward.
Sorry. That's a lot of work to have to do in just a few days. I hope the new position and the potential move pan out for you.

Hey all.

I've been a bit busy lately with work, and work after work, and house work, and Skyrim work. So I haven't had too much time to post.

In any case, I don't do this often, but if you guys could send prayers our way, it would be greatly appreciated.

DW and I went in for a check-up on Saturday and everything with the twins was normal, but Soon Ae's blood sugar level was pretty high. She went in again today for some more blood work. I just got off the phone with her and it wasn't any better. So tomorrow (Thursday), she has to go to a normal hospital (we've been going to a women's hospital for all of our check ups) and spend four days there. I don't know any more than that right now, I was only on the phone with her for a couple minutes.

Thanks in advance.
Prayers her way.

I hope it is nothing serious. Sounds like it may be gestational diabetes. DW had that with her first pregnancy. It wasn't anything serious, she just had to do some blood work, monitor her blood sugar during and after pregnancy and change her diet. I hope that's all it is!

Good morning guys. I hope everyone is well. Did you guys see the article regarding the RFID bracelets Disney is going to? A co-worker saw some people wearing them last week when he was there.
Ok, I work at a facility that has just adopted and installed a new truck management system based on RFID technology. My response to this news is...

:headache: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1: :scared1:

Okay then...pest control came and went, put down the gel he wanted to and that was that.....didn;t have to tear the cupboards apart like I tried....:furious: Bleh I say, bleh...ah well...can relax now. Next crisis?

Good morning everyone. :surfweb:

I don't know if anyone else follows George Takei on FaceBook but today he posted a good one.

:rotfl2::rotfl2: More action there then Disco Yeti...

Speaking of which...is anyone else hungry?

If you cooked it with cheese, he would never leave.

That's key after a long day drinking in Epcot.. :rotfl2:

True!!! :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Funny you say that, the room across from us at WL had the cover pop off while we were there, and I thought it was odd. Guess it wasn't a one time occurrence.

Didn't notice that problem on #2, but I never use a lanyard, so I was always pulling the card out (which really didn't save much time from the old method). I guess this will really be nice when/if they implement the wristbands, as you can just tap it that way...

Beverly.

Well...tomorrow is the day of the alledged pest-controll visit, and I've busted my butt over the past 5 days to get ready....and fell short
. :sad1:

Basicly got it all done, and went to do the kitchen, they basicly wanted it emptied right out. Ummm...as I got into it I realized there is NO WAY to do that. I'd have needed the 5 days to figure where the hell to put everything. I gave up a couple of hours ago and put things back where they belong, with the sole exception of the cutlery drawer, too noisy a job. :rotfl2: Still got rid of a ton of stuff, old glasses, mugs etc, mostly stuff we've never used in the past 12 years now. Found McDonalds etc Branded Mickey and Disney Movie glasses in the "cupboard of unaccessabilty" in perfect shape.

Still got this "I failed" feeling about me, I stressed and sacrificed all weekend, for nothing, other then got this place the purge and cleaning it's needed for a year now. Been ill half of it and got little sleep. My best wasn't quite good enough.

On the other hand, the place is in beautiful shape now, but not really sure how much good the pest contoll will be, most of our neighbors are refusing service, so what will it accomplish? See what they do, I never handed in the permission form.

I hope, I really hope that in a month or so, the point will be moot, because I'll be looking for a new place. I need to get out of this building, and this city for that matter. Yes, I am firm on putting in for manager's position.....see what happens.

Thanks for the latest venting. After tomorrow I might starrt feeling better as it is put behind me and I move forward.

Don't look at it as failure. It was mostly a success. Good luck with the job! Hope you are feeling better today.

Yikes! Hopefully the little guy will be okay....what a frustrating time not knowing what will do more harm then good. Prayers for a speedy recovery.

Thank you.

:scared1:

Now that doesn't sound good at all...

Hopefully he feels better soon.

Sounds more like an allergic reaction to me, then bug bites... maybe hives?

once it got out of control we were pretty sure it was an allergic reaction. Then the question was, to what? and hoping it didn't get worse.

Yikes. I hate going to the ER (too many sick people) but at times like that it's unavoidable. Glad he's doing better.

Of course it happens when the pediatrician's office is closed. That gave us only the ER as an option.

Wow...I hope everything's ok now. That has to be scary.

Thank you.

Scary stuff, hope he gets better asap.

Thank you.

Poor kid. I hope stopping the meds does the trick.

Thanks.

Scary. Hopefully he's feeling better today.

Thank you.

:rotfl2:

Maybe they should put a card reading near the bottom of the door, by the floor. That way if you manage to crawl your way back to the room, you don't have to reach up to unlock it.

Why not just make the whole door into one big sensor? :confused3

Yeah, that really is frustrating. Hopefully they've got the right dianosis and he'll get feeling better quickly.

I hope so. I appreciate the doctor's honesty in being very up front that it was his best guess and that there was no way to be sure. The important thing is that it's getting better. There are some other antibiotics we can try the next time he needs one prescribed, and perhaps when he's older we can try out pennicilin again to see if still has the reaction.

Had a scare with DS over the weekend. ...

Hope your DS is feeling better.

Prayers. As others said sounds like GD. Diet, exercise and medication as needed. SWMBO had it with both. Potentially increases risk of diabetes later in life.

Good morning guys. I hope everyone is well. Did you guys see the article regarding the RFID bracelets Disney is going to? A co-worker saw some people wearing them last week when he was there.

Not a fan of bracelets.

Have you tried Terro ant killer? Takes a few days but works wonders.

Excellent stuff.

Thanks again for thinking of our little guy this morning.

Wanted to follow up and let you know that this morning he's in better spirits (currently NOT taking his nap.) The majority of the rash is no longer red, having darkened to look more like bruises which are now fading. There are still some red areas but they don't look new. He still has some itching and swelling. Hopefully this means we're over the hump and he'll be more himself with slight discomfort here and there as it continues to heal as opposed to being mostly uncomfortable like he was this weekend.
