I think a smart person on this thread recommended having the insurance company replace it with a car as opposed to money. I'll defer to the insurance experts.
Not sure if they'd replace the car. Right now we're waiting on all the different assesments before we get an answer, so it's the waiting game till then. The insurance is technically umbrella'd under my dad, so he is getting set to step in if needed. He can be quite the challenge when riled up. I just want to know one way or the other what's with the car. I can't stand the Nitro she's got as a rental, it's a box on wheels. This is all new to me.
Morning, all!
Quick story to spark discussion. So I was vacationing last week with some of my oldest friends. Folks from college that I've literally known for 25 years and their kids (DW and I went to college together and although we had overlapping friends, never dated until years after college, she was a year ahead of me in school).
My wife spent some time talking to one of my buddies wife who confided that they haven't slept in the same bed in years. He falls asleep on the couch working and stays there all night. (Being a guy, I would have never had this detailed a discussion with the husband...) I was horrified at this and couldn't imagine not having a husband and wife sleep in the same bed, but DW thinks that this probably happens in a lot of marraiges (husband snoring, people wanting their space, etc) and does not mean that their marraige in danger.
What do you guys think? How often does this happen? And can sleeping separately be a normal and acceptable part of a good/healthy marraige?
I dunno, I can't fathom doing that on a nightly basis. I've gone to the couch if I can't sleep and restless, or my cough becomes prolonged. Even if we squabble, we still share a bed.

What do you mean, Chris? DW and I have separate twin sized beds, just like Lucy and Desi did.
Yeah, but even the Munsters shared a bed.....
Hello men! It's been quite a while since I checked in here. This week has been a blur with everything that's been going on. Moved into a new-to-me office space on Thursday and I'm just now getting settles in. Didn't even have a network connection Friday and Monday. Not only did I change locations, but they want me to start doing different stuff. Now the learning curve kicks in.
After a little drama and over a week of waiting I finally have the new-to-me Cadillac registered and plates on it. Looking forward to driving it on the road daily soon. Here's my new ride:
