Morning gentlemen. Green side of the sod, breakfast eaten, employed. Could be worse. Hoping to get the desk and computer files cleaned some this week. Weather permitting I may harvest some hops.

Onto the Holiday Inn that night in Cinci, Mass at St. Veronica's, and then onto the baseball game. We were there right when the doors opened.

We were on the 3rd base side and only got the Pirates players. Still, a great photo op.

Better view. Yeungling Draft.

While the Reds, AJ Burnett pitched a great game for the Pirates and McCutchen hit a home run. The Pirates also hit the Reds really hard this game. It was an expensive day with $9 beers, hot dogs, pizza, peanuts, but it was fun. We drove thru Louisville, visited my parents for a couple hours, and then home last night around 10:00 PM.

The better news would be how soon you can convert the hops to beer.

Great staycation vacation weekend. We did Indy Children's Museum on Saturday with a DisDad meet and the Pirates v Reds game on Sunday. The dds are currently asleep, and we may try Mammoth Cave today if the wake up soon.

They have a terrible infestation at the Indy Museum. Dinosaurs are just causing havoc.

The center glass thing is so cool.

The meet picture. Dave has three horns growing from his head, while I only have two.

The dds meet picture. The only one I cold get with all 4 of them looking at the camera at the same time.

We had a great day at the museum. We then went to eat Grey Brothers restaurant. Good country cooking. Dave and is family are really great.

We had a great time as well. The girls were disappointed that you weren't staying in Indy longer.

As for the horns, I was hoping you weren't going to mention those and let Randall and Dave be surprised when I meet up with them next month, LOL

Woo Hoo!! Decided to add two days to our trip. Now we'll be taking the Auto-Train home on August 27th.

Sorry Ron, now I can't do the Dis Dad meet at the bar on the train. We'll just have to meet up in one of the parks.

Hey Chris - what park days do you have planned?

We are there 19 -> 26, maybe we can have a quick meet up as well. :thumbsup2

Hey guys messaging you from my bed. Very sick, serious bronchial infection, 100 fever, sweating, been to night doctor said if I am still like this by mornings need to go to ER. Not looking for pity guys just been absent from here and not posting a lot. I have been looking in every hour.
Hope you're feeling better now!

( btw- Andy are you better?)
Yes, I'm better now.

A little bit of an explanation about it, but DS had been sick the week before. They thought at first that it was hand, foot & mouth. After a couple of days, he wasn't showing any problems with his hands or feet, but his throat was so bad that he wouldn't even drink. We took him back in to see if they could do anything to help keep him from getting dehydrated. They decided that it was HFM, but a similar virus since it was only in his throat. Gave him some painkillers to help him drink and a few days later he felt better.

Anyway, I went to the doc Tuesday and told him about what we went through with DS. My strep test came back negative, but he was sure that's what it was, so he gave me some antibiotics and told me I could return to work Thursday if my fever was gone... well it was, but I still felt like crap, but came back anyway. Friday afternoon when I got home from work, my fever was back. By Saturday morning I could confirm that DS's first doctor was right... it was Hand foot & mouth. Still trying to figure out how I ended up with worse symptoms than a 2 year old though. :rotfl2::rotfl:

I spent all weekend in bed, so I'm rested up and feeling a lot better right now.

Meetings: None of us is as unproductive as all of us.
:thumbsup2

Looks like it was a great weekend. I guess you're the reason the Reds lost Sunday though. :rotfl2: :rotfl:

:rolleyes2

Congratulations. You made the Barry joke before Barry.
:thumbsup2

To even be mentioned in the same post as Barry is an honor :thumbsup2:rotfl2:
I think you've moved beyond admiration and into some kind of creepy idolization of me. Oh, don't stop, though. Just wanted to let you know.:rotfl:

Today is my son Hunter's 7th B-Day, the main reason I do what I do in WDW:thumbsup2, He is my ride buddy, we might do TT 13 times or Jungle Cruise 9 times during a trip, but it's all about him when we go:good vibes, I can plan all I want but in the end I better be able to pull off what he wants to do over and over again, this is why we get to do so many park hours, if he's happy he doesn't want to leave and it's a win win for all:cool1:
Happy Birthday Hunter!

Morning guys... long-weekend mode now, which is pretty good since I've already been in staycation all week. :thumbsup2 Today's agenda is heading out to Hamilton this afternoon for my niece's birthday party (her birthday is later in the week). Appparently it's a Harry Potter theme. Won;t have DW to help me contain the girls, so this'll be fun :crazy2:
Enjoyed your pictures from the cabin. Looks like a great place!

Oh great, now I've got to disinfect my keyboard so I don't get it.

Hope you're feeling better soon!

Excellent!

Sorry, Steve. I can send you some work to do if you're missing it already.
Proof positive that you don't need any formal training to do DOT work. Nice job, Mark. :thumbsup2

The doors to the church or the ballpark? Either way, rope drop is important. ;)

Good Holiday Morning all...

Last day of the staycation, been a nice long 9 days. Last bachelor day too, DW comes home tomorrow. Guess we'd better tidy up a bit. :lmao:

Am I a space geek because I am listening to the NASA feed on Curiosity's landing on Mars? Over an hour to go before it lands. Plus we probably will not know that it landed safely until much later. Tomorrow is going to be a bear but I really don't care,

Thought of staying up tp see, but thought sleep was the better option.

Awesome pics, looks like a cool place to take the kids, and you guys had a lot of fun. Baseball pics look good too.

What type of hops?

My round trip to and from work, no stops or side trips, is right @ 85 miles. Is there a ford that can compete with Toyota?

Matt

The new Focus gets the same mileage and maybe a little better. Would've been more money thought to buy a 2012.

Very cool. DW and I originally planned for some Universal for next year until I started looking at time and $$, and realized I had to scale it back. The HP stuff we'd like to see, but there isn't much else we want out of Universal, so it wasn't too hard to drop. Still lots planned, maybe when the girls are a bit older.

Almost to the 1-year-to-go mark !! Adding a surprise is icing on the cake.

Good news. Enjoy those two extra days.

Good get. Never been to universal yet.

Great plan! Your kids will love it.

Excellent!

Thanks!!

We are in WDW from 8/17 - 8/24. There is a group of 10 of us, but I already let my wife know that I am trying to schedule a few DIS Dad meets, and she was cool with that.

Our tentative plans are:

8/17 - AK most likely
8/18 - HS
8/19 - MK unless it rains, otherwise Epcot
8/20 - Epcot or MK if it rained day before
8/21 - Water park (probably Typhoon Lagoon) and Hoop De Do Revue at 7:00pm
8/22 - MK
8/23 - Epcot most likely
8/24 - HS
8/25 - Universal Studios
8/26 - Universal Islands of Adventure

I will PM you with my cell and E-Mail so we can coordinate/text.

Hey, this place looks familiar! Glad you could meet up with David.

I was just going to mail him a shovel.
