Yes. Pretty psyched about it. We will leave the Swan and go to the Hard Rock Hotel for 2 days in Universal. We are going to surprise the kids by telling them we are leaving for the Auto-Train on the 25th as originally planned and then drive to Universal.

The kids' favorite ride is the Simpsons and my wife and I are very partial to Spiderman. So we now get to enjoy both and Harry Potter as well for a couple of days.

Very cool. DW and I originally planned for some Universal for next year until I started looking at time and $$, and realized I had to scale it back. The HP stuff we'd like to see, but there isn't much else we want out of Universal, so it wasn't too hard to drop. Still lots planned, maybe when the girls are a bit older.

Almost to the 1-year-to-go mark !! Adding a surprise is icing on the cake.

Checking out a new paranormal investigation show DW found for me, Haunted Highway. We'll see, they check out various "ghost roads" and the like. Not sure yet, not a HUGE fan of celebrity-hosted shows, this one is lead by Jack Osbourne.

Looks like they are checking out the old Route 666 legends.

I am trying to force myself to enjoy the view of the ocean and the sand and surf!! Oh yeah and all the great food! Life is tough sometime isnt it?

Woo Hoo!! Decided to add two days to our trip. Now we'll be taking the Auto-Train home on August 27th.

Sorry Ron, now I can't do the Dis Dad meet at the bar on the train. We'll just have to meet up in one of the parks.

Been quiet here today. Had a busy day but am still up.

Am I a space geek because I am listening to the NASA feed on Curiosity's landing on Mars? Over an hour to go before it lands. Plus we probably will not know that it landed safely until much later. Tomorrow is going to be a bear but I really don't care,

Getting ready to head out to a couple of customers for meetings then head to the plant for some more.

Is it just me, or are meetings the biggest waste of time? I think someone comes up with the idea of a daily work stoppage meeting, where you have to attend and cant get anything else done during that period.

Great staycation vacation weekend. We did Indy Children's Museum on Saturday with a DisDad meet and the Pirates v Reds game on Sunday. The dds are currently asleep, and we may try Mammoth Cave today if the wake up soon.

They have a terrible infestation at the Indy Museum. Dinosaurs are just causing havoc.

The center glass thing is so cool.

We had a great day at the museum. We then went to eat Grey Brothers restaurant. Good country cooking. Dave and is family are really great.
