Interesting that you use the word "suck". That kind of describes the other 100-120 shots I take. :lmao:

I hear you. I haven't been out yet this year. Saving up my pennies to play a round in Disney World in 3 weeks. :thumbsup2

I hear ya...It's those other darn shots fault.

I'm pretty sure I'd be kicked off with my game. I have a wicked slice that dad sys is easy to find, "it's usually under that guy laying down on the next fairway" :rotfl2:

Saturday is family reunion time. For some reason we all wear kilts while golfing. :sad2: It certainly doesn't help my game.
I may have to try that. Probably won't help the game, but it should help keep the boys cool!

You and i must be related.

I just about did that. Missed the guy by inches.

on another day....
Went to a range (a covered one) with my brothers before my 2nd youngest brother went to Iraq. Lets just say a couple of shots.... It is a good thing the lights had shields. The one guy that wasn't with us got out of there sfter about 10 mins. My brothers thought it would be funny to mess with me while i was teeing off. That shot ricocheted and hit my brother in the knee.

My former golf partners had to be careful they didn't get hit by the flying club after the bad shot. That is why I gave up golf it got too expensive to replace the shafts after the trees stopped their flight.

Hey guys, back from Key Largo and am not a happy camper. Wish I could stay there for a while longer. Guess it is back to reality.

True, true....I've golfed in some pretty nasty heat before, never stopped me. My score never stopped me either..

Wimp. Try playing golf in August, in South Florida and in the afternoon. There are documented instances where golfers spontaneously combusted.

Of every 9 or 18 that I play, I usually hit 2 or 3 really good shots. Like "holy crap, I've seen guys on TV make shots like this" type of shot. That's what keeps me coming back.

Well, that and the beer cart. :drinking1

Beer cart, Ummm.

Know what you mean. Shot an 86 one time. That was when I played a lot (the sticks have dust on them now) Chalk it up to practice, getting my swing down and the fact that I had a wine tasting with some friends at the house before I went out on the course. Nothing like starting at the first tee with a buzz. Will never happen again but man, what a round.

Never played a Disney course. Probably never will. Need photographic evidence to see the course. If anyone is playing during the convention, let me know. I may try to play or at least drive the golf cart.

:rolleyes1

The great thing about the beer cart is that it's driven by the cart girl! :rolleyes1

Golf cart girls delivering beer. It doesn't get any better than that. Not sure about playing golf in kilts. I can imagine a bunch of Dis Dads playing golf in kilts. Not a pretty sight. But maybe if Norm dresses as Alice it would be OK.

I have an open spot in a foursome on August 25th if you want to drive up. It's me, Carl and my Father in Law. With the new straight DVC Member discounts (vs the old way of buying the golf badge) it actually makes it semi-affordable.

I don't know if anyone has plans to golf during the convention. We'll only be there a few days, so I doubt I will.

Havent been in in a bit so I guess I have a little reading to do

Um I hope your not thinking of trying it in Aug when we play!!!

Let me just say, wool in August is not all that comfortable (and it's supposed to be 95 on Saturday). This reunion is DW's side. If you couldn't tell they have a Scottish heritage. Several years ago the reunion committee decided they should kick up a notch and have a Scottish themed reunion. So now we do golf and highland games.

Used to wear the kilt for the whole day. Now I've resorted to wearing it for only the 9 holes of golf and the games. Someone in the family made all of these things. Worst thing about them is no pockets. One of these days I'm going to find a pair of shorts in that tartan and just wear those. Up until last year I had like a 4 year streak going as caber toss champion. Last year some of the boys miraculously turned in to men and the streak is over. Maybe I can get it back.

Any of you dads into cigars? I had dinner with a friend the other night and had one called Windy City Acid. It was pretty good. I also had a glass of port for the first time which may be something I'm going to have start sampling. The 2 things paired very well together.

I used to smoke cigars often. Not so much with the dds. I'll get a mild cigar, as my stomach can't handle anything else. Makers Mark has a cigar that's not bad.

:crazy2: There isn't enough bourbon in KY to make me want to see that.

there is enough bourbon. But, no cash offer has been made so probably won't happen.

.

Pictures.

, and the brain of Albert Einstein.

We know that ain't true, unless you're a zombie and ate it.

Morning All,
As DisDad #500, I figured I would drop in here for my 500th post. Two weeks to go until we fly down to Disney. :cool1:

Cool.

Morning Gentlemen! 3 quarts of honey bottled up last night. Glad we got some for the 4-H project but left most of it this year for the bees. My son learned an important lesson though,... no clean up required (as long as his mother isn't around) when extracting honey, just put everything outside and the bees will clean it all up

How much for a small amount? I'll be that way in a few weeks.

Morning...

Back at work today, but still feeling pretty blah. Throat hurts too much to want to talk to anybody and I'm seriously thinking about just kicking back and getting a nice little nap in here at my desk. :lmao:

The desk is a great place to sleep. Feel better.

What's that now??? :confused3
I know OF The Tick, but I don't KNOW The Tick, if you get my drift...

i wish they still showed those episodes. Funny stuff.
