Yeah...school here starts the day after Labour Day, ends the end of June So that makes it hard not to do it in the summer. Christmas break is too crazy busy there and my busiest work time, so we cannot book holidays there, spring break is always midmarch, and also nuts at WDW. Even most Canadian Holidays are on the same days as US holidays, so can't win there.

If we pull the kids from school, it'd have to be September-early October before things really get rolling. We;ve held off because Amelia struggled Grades 1-early 2. She pulled things together towards the end of Grade 2, and made a huge difference, but don't want to create another setback.

DW and I decided not to take kids out of school. Maybe when they are older. So, those are our two time frames for now. October MK even hit capacity one day last year. The first week of June was OK. September was great - no crowds. 10 more years and maybe we can go in September or early December.

Never noticed it too bad when we went in October of 2010, but that was after Columbus Day or whatever our Thanksgiving is there. Won't touch it in July, so late August is our best bet till the schooling rights itself. Hot? Yes, but we had fun regardless.

DW and I are going back and forth on doing MNSSHP or not. Do you guys think its worth the price?

DD earned her white belt today in karate class. Woot!

We are doing two MNSSHP this year. And, we are not buying tickets for earlier in the day. Yes, it is worth it. You can get in at 4:00 PM and stay to midnight. If you get one of the cheaper nights, it is usually less crowded.

This will be my DD4 and my first time to go, everything I see and hear its well worth it and we are all looking forward to it, I havent dressed up in prob 20 years so im looking forward to that, might have to get AirGoofy to help with my makeup, and of course I wish there were more NBC stuff but I understand why there isnt.

Last time I dressed up. It was the first week of October (2009) and Florida was having a heat wave. Mid 90's and humid everyday. I tried my best Jack Sparrow impersonation.

And I got to go home with Jasmine!

That's beyond my ability. I grew my beard out that long and bought a couple beads at WDW for DW to braid into it. DW bought a wig for me somewhere. I bought the Jack Skellingon tshirt a couple years back. No make up - just all the beautiful me.

And there it is. He's gotten back to running, the confidence is strong. Team Tim is ready to go!

Maybe the lines will be smaller to rides as everyone is playing with their free WiFi.

Morning Gentlemen! 3 quarts of honey bottled up last night. Glad we got some for the 4-H project but left most of it this year for the bees. My son learned an important lesson though,... no clean up required (as long as his mother isn't around) when extracting honey, just put everything outside and the bees will clean it all up

So starts our 5 night Mom-less portion of the staycation, as DW flys out to Montreal after she gets off work. Good thing this type of thing happened a lot growing up, with Moms hospital stays and later on, staying at the trailer when dad did shifts at the fire dept. Dad taught me lots, many asking the question: "Where am I cooking tonight?"
