Morning guys!

Hope everyone's off to a great day. I have a big meeting at 9:30, and if all goes well, golf from 12:00 on. :thumbsup2

Even better, meeting cancelled, golf earlier, and off the links before it gets too hot. :thumbsup2

‘Morning all…

DD earned her white belt today in karate class. Woot!

Great!
Now she’s off and running… or is that tackling…
or throwing… or leveraging one’s opponent … or what ever it is.
But it’s a great start!
:thumbsup2

Happy Birthday, Dave. Happy Belated Birthday Fed.

I missed both of those. :sad2:

Happy Belated to both of ya’

Evening all, I see the thread is flying by again and I've been to busy to keep up. So:

Happy Birthdays

Congrats

Thoughts and Prayers

It amazing just how well that general shout-out works around here…
On any given day at least two out of three will apply.
:lmao:

Morning...

Back at work today, but still feeling pretty blah. Throat hurts too much to want to talk to anybody and I'm seriously thinking about just kicking back and getting a nice little nap in here at my desk. :lmao:

I don’t know…
Sounds to me like a great work plan.

I’d go home if you can justify it though.

Don't think that hasn't crossed my mind.

Problem is we're already short staffed this week with 2 people on vacation so I've been leaving one person alone here to cover for me while I've been gone. The Dr. said I shouldn't be contagious at this point, so I'm just here doing what I can while I deal with it.

It is never too hot on the links. That would be like saying it is too crowded/hot/humid to go to Disney!

We've been to a few MNSSHP and have loved each one. The parade is a CAN'T MISS!

Last time I dressed up. It was the first week of October (2009) and Florida was having a heat wave. Mid 90's and humid everyday. I tried my best Jack Sparrow impersonation.

And I got to go home with Jasmine! :)
That's a win, win right there. :thumbsup2

We think so. It's one of the reasons we go in October:thumbsup2

We are doing two MNSSHP this year. And, we are not buying tickets for earlier in the day. Yes, it is worth it. You can get in at 4:00 PM and stay to midnight. If you get one of the cheaper nights, it is usually less crowded.

This will be my DD4 and my first time to go, everything I see and hear its well worth it and we are all looking forward to it, I havent dressed up in prob 20 years so im looking forward to that, might have to get AirGoofy to help with my makeup, and of course I wish there were more NBC stuff but I understand why there isnt.
Thanks for all the input. I'll make sure that gets put into the budget. I could take my Renaissance costume and convert it to a pirate costume pretty easy. Would Disney let me carry my peace tied sword into the park? :rotfl2:

In all seriousness, I applaud your dedication. I wish I worked with more people like you. We've run majorly short because of people's bdays, hungover etc, only care about themselves, not the group pn the whole.

Okay, I wanna drop the seriousness now. :upsidedow

True, true....I've golfed in some pretty nasty heat before, never stopped me. My score never stopped me either..

Of every 9 or 18 that I play, I usually hit 2 or 3 really good shots. Like "holy crap, I've seen guys on TV make shots like this" type of shot. That's what keeps me coming back.

Well, that and the beer cart. :drinking1

And those shots are the ones that suck me back in as well :)

Yeah been there. Even scarier is if I manage to birdie a hole, getting my ego pumped up enough to keep trying to improve myself.

Sadly the cost of the game, plus the cost of raising kids is what killed my game. No time to go, and no $$ to do it. Up till two weeks ago, my last game was May or early June, 2008, just before Audrey was born. I did get a chance a couple of weeks ago while at the cabin to get out with dad and his buddy, I used his clubs, mine are in storage, and was..meh. I had to use a variety of clubs for putting, Dad shoots right like me, but putts left and his buddy is a lefty. :crazy2: Not sure if I'll get a chance again any time soon, might see if Dad wants to try in the fall around here.

Interesting that you use the word "suck". That kind of describes the other 100-120 shots I take. :lmao:

If I turn the rabbit ears on my TV just right, and adjust the tinfoil just a bit, I can pick up a public access channel out of Aurora, IL.

I hear you. I haven't been out yet this year. Saving up my pennies to play a round in Disney World in 3 weeks. :thumbsup2

Good morning guys.

Morning George!

:rolleyes1

The great thing about the beer cart is that it's driven by the cart girl! :rolleyes1

Saturday is family reunion time. For some reason we all wear kilts while golfing. :sad2: It certainly doesn't help my game.
