It was an exhausting few days. I thought about doing that but since we were diving, I wanted to do that first so we had a lot of energy.

Stick a fork in me, I am done. Although if we had another day, I would have dragged myself out of bed to go to EE at California Adventure. I think Norm mentioned that he would do Disneyland first and then Aluani. Probably a good plan. It was an exhausting few days. We're not diving, so that was my reasoning. Either way, it would still be a great trip.

I don't think I've even need to live at golden oaks. Just somewhere close enough that evening trips are possible.

That will probably be me in reality. My plan is to retire to FL. I know Golden Oaks is only a lotto dream, but FL is not. It would be cheaper to live near the ocean, but I would like to be able to go to WDW everyday if I wanted. Maybe someone can start a DisDad community like Celebration, and give us all discounts.

DW and I are still contemplating our trips next year. I want to drive down in the summer, taking a couple of days to do it, and then spend most of a week in the parks, then drive back (again, couple of days). Not sure if we can swing it though - finances, time, etc.

Hello everyone....

Rainy Friday morning. Good for those that still have some crops alive. On the road to a field day later. They will have enough ice cream for 400 and will be fortunate to get 100 people. Looks like I will have to work extra hard to see it doesn't go to waste.

Thanks for the reminder about Trader Sams. Have not stepped foot into the Disneyland Hotel. May do that this afternoon.

I have a question... Does anyone ever stop in Epcot and visit the Coke store? Second question does anyone else think the Chinese cola is the best? Its the one with a pinkish color.

When we left Disneyland. Sad picture to take. Our flight isn't until late tonight so the plan is to play around the resort and eat at Downtown Disney for dinner. Probably Tortilla Jo's.

Too Funny...

Well here is what I found. I went into a local Citgo Gas Station and they had this Soda called Faygo, picked up the flavor Pineapple/Watermelon and it was the exact same taste as the one in cool club even had the pinkish color. It was dead on. I am heading back to the store today to stock up.

Well, our town is officially in a drought. We're down 6-odd inches from where we should be from the beginning of the year, and I think the last measurable rainfall was late May or early June. I feel bad for watering the lawn, but I am justifying it under the aegis of "we were gone for 2 weeks, during that heat index of OMG." I'm not trying for a green lawn, merely trying to avoid it turning into a dustbowl.

On the plus side, I can use the excuse of "no water pressure" to put off laundry and dishes until tonight.

Free Chik-fil-A!

My wife and kids dressed up as cows and got free meals for lunch. Apparently it's a national promotion. Dress up like a cow from head to toe and get a free meal. Have partial cow costume and you get a free entree. Today only. The one by our house was filled with cow people.
