My Peanut Butter and Beverly moment. Printed out my travel docs last night and I found Enterprise had me picking up the car on July 30, not June 30. Called them and they quoted me a price $375 more than I was originally quoted. The agent could not do any thing about it nor could her supervisor. They put in some kind of action thing and "someone will get back to me." Probably when I am in Kona. So now I do not have a car in Oahu. We will see what happens but if it is $600 for a compact, I will just rent a car at the resort on a day by day basis. Screws up my plans though.

But these are Disney movies. Did anyone think Stinky Pete or Lotso would win in Toy Story sequels? Think Lightening McQueen would get compacted? Think Ariel would be caught and served for dinner?

i certainly didn't think it was likely, but even when i watch them now, i hold out a little hope that ariel will get fried up and served with chips!

And, it is a Disney princess film that has both parents present. I guess Rapunzel did, but with the kidnap angle, it was still a single mom raising her.

Right. This one has a strong family message. There is a nice dedication to Steve Jobs at the end of the credits. I forgot to mention that the soundtrack is very well done. The music really helps transport you to Scotland!

would love to go to Scotland someday... for now i will settle for being "transported"

Oh, I'm not worried about everything not turning out okay, with maybe an important life lesson learned, characters growing and changing a bit in the process, etc. I'm just on the fence about it - the only real sequel to Monsters, Inc would involve an older Boo (who we will still maintain is Bonnie, in Toy Story 3), but a lot of prequels (Lucas, I'm looking at you!) just leave me flat, even when I enjoyed the original film.

I think they can get away with it because they didn't have a lot of backstory in the original (or sequels to the original that allude to the backstory) They have A LOT more freedom with Monsters University.

Hey, Mr. universe controller, will you post less here and work more on getting those lotto numbers to come thru for me?

Well, the luck just keeps on rolling for me. Oldest dd broke her right arm (buckle fracture). She was wearing her flip flops riding her Scooter and flipped over the top. She is left handed, thankfully. I tell her not to wear her flip flops when she is on her scooter, so I hope she leaned from this painful consequence.

So as you can tell by my ticker, we are going to WDW this August.

What some of you don't know, is my kids don't know about this trip.

My DW had a great idea

What if Mickey invited them personally?

So I wrote up a letter, and was going to hand it off to some Mickey's Peop's and have him present it to my kids.

Well, when I spoke to the CM's at the store, and gave them a copy of my letter, she went to ask the Exec's who were in from Orlando, and they said they couldn't do it.

Reason: Mickey can't extend an invitation to just 1 set of kids AND besides that - EVERYONE has an OPEN invitation to join. But they said we can tell the kids with Mickey, and celebrate together.

Anyways, after seeing them I told my kids Mickey gave me a letter to pass to them.

DW reports that we received our cruise documents today for our 4 nights on the DREAM!! Just over a month away.

In other trip-related news, I purchased the photopass+ with the pre-order discount. Still the small matter of purchasing our park tickets, and putting aside money for the trip.

Also looking to purchase a few items for the trip. A new larger backpack to carry all our stuff in the parks. Some portable charging equipment and extra batteries for things i can't easily charge. A light-weight tripod. A waterproof flip-style camera.

suddenly, just over a month seems like not enough time.

Evening all...at the in-laws tonight, got here last night, spent the day with father-in-law at the river. Just sat in the shade, watched the boats go by, relaxing.

Had a bad day yesterday at work, kinda blew my cool. ( 5 or 6 times) Sure I'll hear about it Monday, although to my credit, it was not in view of customers, in the warehouse only. Didnt help that it was my last shift with my buddy-co-woker, she's now Full Time and in a new store, and she was the one to keep my grounded there. Gonna be a long-hot summer methinks.

Didn't know people went to Sarnia for R&R.

I do, no work, and quiet times with the in-laws, no stresses. We had bridge fries, watched the boats, and I got through a good book on Maritime Disasters. (so educational too!) Been a while since I could start/finish a book in a day.

ok another getting to know you.. what would you do if you opened the fridge door and there was only two beers left?

1] would you real quick drink them both cause there are not enough for all three guys?
2] would you speak up and say ok guys time for beer run?
3] would you offer it to the other two guys?
4] would you just quickly close the door so that one of the other guys could find this travesty?

I'd be worried I'm not at home, always have a dozen of beers or in there at any given time. Work Research.
