I remember those shifts. Thankfully, I don't have them anymore, although, I did do fairly well on 3rd shift. I never got into Scotch all that much. Being from KY, there are just so many different types of good bourbon here. Somehow, I got introduced to cognac and I do enjoy that on occasion as wells vodka. Draft beer is still my preference. Don was going to drive down, refinish a room, and install a kegerator. He must have gotten lost somewhere.

:rotfl2:

From what I understand he was getting the kegerator blueprints in Ohio.

And although he has all the right equipment... he has no clue how to use any of it... hence the over exposed pics.

Gotta love it when your nemesis just tee's 'em up, and you swing for the fences... :rotfl2:

Funny too funny!

You went to POR this year Or are you going?

We just shut it down, maybe I have a little OCD when it comes to the food but I find it easier to put a sign up and just close.
Our customers are pretty cool about it, they give me the gears about closing but always say "good for you guys".
Definitely miss my paid vacations from my old job......but that's about it!

And I waited until that exact day to come visit you... saw the sign, and thought I had the wrong place.... ;)

We are going in 45 days... :thumbsup2

As we get closer, I'm gonna pick your brain a bit more...

You and Andre are doing a great job at the Port Orleans thread. Just so much info.

After owning PCs, Windows phone, DW's kindle (android), & my new iPad, I have to say that I really like the apple operating system. I really like my windows phone, the operating system is exceptional and way better than android, but the iOS is so much easier to use. iTunes vs Zune is not even comparable. I'm ready to start changing everything over to Apple.

I made the switch about 7 years ago and have never turned back. Only one issue with apple products...I want them all!

Yeah it is actually really easy to use. But if you have questions you can ask me. I use a MacBook pro also.
Of the two would you say this is easier to use for a newbie?

Photoshop would be easier! There are tons of youtube videos on how to!

Thanks we try. Plus I can't say what I do but I have inside info at some resorts.

So that's what is taking him so long.

Everyone to Norm's... the bars been restocked!

Gotta wait for Don. Then, bring on the party.

?

I do enjoy the windows phone, but will be happy with the iPhone. Of course, I'll wait until the phone dies before I do an upgrade. My desktop is 7 years old now. It is a Dell desktop, and while a great computer, it is starting to slowly wind down. I'm still running XP. So, I think I am on the right track to upgrade everything over, just a matter of time. Those MacBooks aren't cheap though.

That's a good plan but a lot of cash. It will probably be the bourbon or the cognac. I can't imagine sipping on tequila after a day of work.

It's funny, there is a trend now to have premium tequila in a snifter in lieu of cognac.

Happy fouth to you guys as well!

Today also comes with sad news. The A/C went out on the wifes car.and a new compressor is required to fix it, to the tune of 1200$. I dont think the disney trip will survive this one.

Matt

Ah Beverly...I'm praying for a little miracle for you...hate to hear of a trip cancelled.

Happy 4th, everyone! Sitting here at the comp, trying to stay cool and listening to the old Schoolhouse Rock patriotic songs. Heading over to the BILs place in a bit for breakfast, followed by pool & beer. He's a better player than I am (by far), but it's still a fun way to while away the morning.

AFAIK, the local fireworks have not been cancelled - I'm kind of hoping that they are. The dewpoint is past 70, and the high for today is supposed to hit close to 100 - before the heat index. It won't be better at 9:30 tonight - though supposedly the heat should start breaking soon. October cannot get here soon enough for me.

Hopefully you'll keep cool....

Believe it or not, there are many people (like my parents and in-laws) who do not have smart phones and never will. They are still afraid of technology.

If they wanted, I would do it for them, but I don't have to because we will be with them. All us young 'uns have the Lines app on our iphones.

I don;t have a smartphone, although I'm planning to get one next year

Fireworks are cancelled here... and they were cancelled about a week ago. Everything that's supposed to be green seems to be brown and some dumb beverly neighbors were setting off a nice big display last night. I was watching very closely, but not because I was enjoying the show. I probably would have called the Sherrif department, but I had just returned home from an evening at the county fair, and when I left, I had just finished talking to a deputy who was also getting ready to leave. And he lives just a few miles past me going down the same road. Thankfully, the fireworks stopped soon after I saw them start. :rolleyes1 :lmao::rotfl2:

They were sooooooooo busted. You should have called Mom. :lmao: But then again, it'd probably all clean up before they got there.

Go back a 10 pages. CJ is taking underwater pictures at Aulani, which is just amazing. I think you picture guys, my cousin is one, take great photos, but I am just not patient enough or willing to carry all that stuff.
I love taking photos, but I just can't justify carrying all sorts of equipment. I do need to upgrade my camera soon though. It will be another point/shoot, though DW has suggested possibly two, and get one that can go underwater.

Hope your feeling better.

Have to admit you guys certainly know about fireworks, Canadian ones are lame in comparison. We may have had a few American fireworks at my house on sat night, how they got there?........
I'll never tell.

Getting there, but there still momentswhen I don;t feel right.

They have Canada Day fireworks right at Port Credit Memorial Park, which is where our apartment faces, so we get a free show, no parking/crowd hassles.

I have had mixed drinks with tequila and the shots with salt and lemon, but that was with Cuervo. Are one of those pure agave tequilas that much better?

.

Me too. I never got into videos, but I love taking pictures. I never got into the photo equipment, just pictures to capture memories or invent them later. I really like having my phone so that I can only carry one thing. I do not get the same resolution as the nicer cameras, but I do get the occasional great shot.

Smartphone cameras are getting pretty good. It's nice to have that feature to get a quick pic :thumbsup2

I've not yet had the opportunity to try one...think i need to talk to agents about it, I'd like to see what the fuss is. Right now our liquor board is really trying to boost Premium Tequlia and American Whiskey. Buffalo Trace and Blanyon's have gone from one-shot purchases to regular items.

DW used her iphone more then her camera, so it gets passed down to DD1, but she really wants a camera to take into a pool /the lake etc..so is looking at one of those, along with a decent point and shoot with excellent zoom for me. Any videos I can do with a point and shoot
