Good Morning!

So, we're getting close to time for our trip, so I'm going to pose some questions.
We've got the following Table Service Ressies:
Hollywood Brown Derby (dinner)
Le Cellier (lunch)
Cinderella's Royal Table (dinner)
Coral Reef (dinner)
'Ohana (dinner)
Boma (dinner)
Chef Mickey (breakfast)
1900 Park Fare (breakfast)
Tusker House(breakfast)

So the question is: what are the best options for these places? Cheddar Cheese soup from Le Cellier is a must, but what else?

Great ADRs!

I would recommend the Short Rib at CRT if it's available at dinner time. It was super tender.

And the breakfast pizza at Chef Mickeys was great as well!

The wings and potstickers at 'Ohanas were awesome too.

I also did the Cheese soup at Le Cellier....I had the filet over mushroom risotto and maple creme brulee as recommended by BigTex71.....Awesome Meal. That was definitely my favorite meal of the week.

HBD - filet is great. Cobb salad is great, and is big enough to be its own meal.
Le Cellier - filet and mushroom risoto and pretzel bread
CRT - not had good meals here other than breakfast
Coral Reef - I had mahi. It was good.
Ohana and Boma are seved family and buffet. One of everything to taste is my approach and seconds on what I like the best.
Chef Mickey - again buffet, but I really liked the breakfast pizza
Park Fare has eggs or something served with hollandaise. i didn't care for it but it might be something different.

Great ADRs. Make sure you send the bill to Steve. He's buying everyone's trip this year.

Yep. That's how we pulled it off. Unfortunately, that's the last time we will be able to do it. Next time we'd have to look at a deluxe with a sleeper chair or something.

Or, just go with DW and two dds and you can still get the studio. The 1 BR are wonderful but a lot of points.

For a day off I didn't really get much done today, except running around, I was waiting in line at 9:30 at Toys R Us to get the set of 3 new Legendary Skylanders for my son, then it was off to the Dentist for a cleaning, that turned out to also be a cavity filled (next person cancelled so might as well get her done in one shot:thumbsup2) still have to go back to get a crown on a tooth where a old filling is falling apart, but I have a really good dental plan so it will not cost anything:cool1:

Then we got my son's Baseball uniform, his team is the Yankees and today we found out his number:confused3, His Grandfather was really happy to hear he got #13, he got one of the highest paid players # A-Rod:thumbsup2

Then I got to do about a hour of yard work:headache: I need a few days worth of time, all the running around I get to do on my days off I'll never get done, and then my wife will crack out, so what did you do today:eek::headache::lmao:

Then it was time to cook dinner, Jersey Shore dinner for the night was foot long 1/4lb hot dogs on a sub rol cooked on the grilll:thumbsup2 After dinner off to Karate, Next week after dinner is my son's 1st game, I'm not a big sports fan but I'll be there and be his biggest fan:woohoo:

Sounds like a fun, full day.

Morning!

Only 22 days until the Poly? I am so insanely freakin jealous right now!:badpc:

I'm hoping WDW does do a DVC resort at GF and Poly so I can stay there.

Morning....didn't I just go to bed? I am starting to hate evening shifts:faint:

I remember third shift. I would wake up and it would be dark around 6:30 or 7, and I would call someone to ask if it was AM or PM. Back before the days of cable tv and cell phone.

A long day ahead of me. Need to get some paperwork finished, then soccer practice tonite, then 5 hour drive to hotel stay for meeting tomorrow. Friday meetings stink, and I probably won't get home tomorrow until 7:00 PM.

Greetings gents. Just popping in again for a weekly hello. I see you're still on XVIII, but getting closer now to the next one. I'm sure you'll be on the next one before I come round again.

I just mowed my lawn for the 2nd time this spring. I was stubborn, and refused to do it until April, even though it was starting to need it in March. So the first weekend, and now again. Blech. But DS13 came out and said he would do the back for me, which is good. For the past 10 years I've always done the 1st, 2nd and last mowing of the season and the boys do it the rest of the season. So he sees he's up to bat. I like it. :)

The camping with the Scouts is ramping up again. I haven't personally gone with them since last fall, but this weekend. :thumbsup2 I'm looking forward to it. My boys have gone several times since my last time, but like other things, I took a little break from that aspect of Scouting. But it's time to get back out into a tent! My wife and DD are going with on a separate campout with their AHG Troop at the same time. It'll be a fun time for all. DD is so excited! This will be her 2nd campout in the woods - they do more overnighters at the church or in someone's backyard typically.

The business continues to move forward. Working with 2 different clients at the moment inching them closer to the go line. I've got about 6 in the hopper right now mulling itineraries. Went to an awesome trade show that came to town yesterday and met a lot of great people. The networking thing is coming together. I've joined two different networking groups locally as well, and the leads are starting to come in. I head to Ft Lauderdale on Tuesday for a CLIA convention, and from there up to WDW. It'll be nice to be in FL for 10 or is it 11 days? I think 10. I'm looking forward to that. Going to meet up with some of my WL Groupie friends while at WDW too. (I would have happily met Dads too... but none will be there the same time as me). The WDW portion has some Disney stuff that I need to do for the other gig that I do with/for Disney, but mostly I have no agenda. It'll be fun to just BE there, and of course to see first hand the progress on New Fantasyland.

And now it looks like a trip west in the cards again so I'll get to experience all of the fun new stuff getting ready to open at DCA this summer. I can't wait to experience Carsland! And Buena Vista Street! It all looks so amazing. I won't be able to be there for the grand opening June 15th, but that's okay - when I get there in September the crowds will have dissipated a tiny bit. I'm going to be combining that with a trade convention, and a little family time.

I'm still trying to figure out when I'm going to get to Tokyo DL. Looking at 2013 now, and will probably do Hong Kong DL in the same journey. DL Paris is still in talks as well, but I'll combine that with a river cruise. That's looking to be 2013 now as well. So we'll see how it all shapes up.

Anyway - just wanted to pop in quickly and say hello.

I have a meeting to run to, so have a great day guys. See ya on the next thread, I'm sure!

DW had a Dr. appointment yesterday. He started off by telling us to pick a day... either next Monday, Wednesday or Friday. After further examination, he decided he doesn't feel comfortable inducing at this point so he's ordered an ultra sound, stress test and something else for next Wednesday morning. Due date is Saturday, but it looks like it will be later than that.

Anyway, the weather is back to mild conditions, so after we left the hospital yesterday afternoon, I headed out to work on the farm. I was working the ground for the last time in front of the planter. Got home at about 11 and then was up with DS, who has an ear infection until 2. :faint:

Oh well, here are a couple of pics from the farm last night.

And just how do you know how much they cost? Hmmmm.

Part of my job is to be in tune with conditions on the ground so I can properly advise visiting ships/personnel and make security related decisions (to include putting places off limits).

Admittedly, that is one of the funnest parts of the job:laughing:...but I've always kept things above board...always.:cool2:

hi don!!!!

go in september!!!

:lmao: i hope you gave your self a raise and went fishing today fed.:thumbsup2

September is definitely a possibility.

No, no fishing...I just got done with a 4 mile jog...which would've been longer except for the floodgates of the heavens opening up on my around mile 2.5....and no, they did not call for rain, but this is Florida and the weather changes...by the minute.

So I'm sitting here like a drowned rat and two agents just walked by and laughed at me....too bad for them....I hope they enjoy the 6 monts on Diego Garcia:lmao::lmao:

Good to hear from you Stopher.

Andy, it is getting close. Maybe we should start a baby pool?

Didn't get much sleep last night. Well, almost no sleep. Decided to give the tickets away to the game and rest the collar bone. Tomorrow is more important then today. Will watch it on the tube instead.

Picking up the friend from the UK and his German co-worker tonight. Have to go to Publix this afternoon for weekend refreshments. The Brit needs Gin, the German needs beer and we all need munchies.

Have a good rest of the day.

And for those that asked, the Mutt I did not want is still alive.

Sorry about the rough night, hopefully you'll be mobile enough to hit the water on Friday.

No diving for me in the near future but the private aquatic center/dive shop where my son takes swimming lessons is having a scuba gear swap meet on Saturday. They are giving a Scubapro Galileo LUNA Dive computer away. Hopefully I'll be able to pick up some gear and then I'll HAVE to go more often.

I'm going to be working hard on DS's snorkeling skills this summer in the pool so we can take a manatee trip next time we are in FL.

Wow...planning any discussions on World War II, or perhaps the 1966 World Cup ?:lmao:

:thumbsup2 Doing the Dad thing. That is what really matters.

FINALLY HOME. Went to work, place was a mess, something about Wednesday brings out the lazy in people there.:sad2:. They had less to do then yesyerday, but got nothing done. Boss admitted he was no impressed with them today. I skipped dinner, got everything caught up, so all was good. I was suppose to train some people on some stuff, that didn't happen. End of the night drama as safe wouldn;t balance and neither would a cashier. :scared1: If safe is off I am responsible for it. Got it all figured out and fixed, but they owe me an hour somewhere.:headache: Two more days and I get a weekend off..

Ugh. Hate those money problems. It is actually easier for me to take my fruit and vegetables from my research plots than donate them to a food pantry because of all the hoops accounting runs us through. Don't even think about trying to sell anything to fund the next project.:rolleyes2

morning guys!

Morning Matt and everyone :)

morning guys! :thumbsup2

Morning....didn't I just go to bed? I am starting to hate evening shifts:faint:

Morning gents, or what is left of it. Fog is finally burning off. Rain yesterday so I may just do some work from the home office recliner and spend some grant money before the deadline this afternoon.

I never liked 3rd. In bed by 8:30 or 9 am up at noon back to bed from 5-9 PM and off to work. Never new what to do with my days off either. Those that can do have my respect.

A long day ahead of me. Need to get some paperwork finished, then soccer practice tonite, then 5 hour drive to hotel stay for meeting tomorrow. Friday meetings stink, and I probably won't get home tomorrow until 7:00 PM.

Safe travels. I'm heading out Saturday AM at 5:30 for a meeting in Marion County and back.

Sleep while you have the chance and nice looking seed bed. We got some ground turned on Tuesday but our plots are 1/4 acre at the largest. I let DS and DD check plots for arrowheads in exchange for cleaning out drip irrigation tube and plastic so they are happy when we turn ground.

Part of my job is to be in tune with conditions on the ground so I can properly advise visiting ships/personnel and make security related decisions (to include putting places off limits).

The best perks I get are some fresh fruit or veggies when I am "testing" for optimum harvest time

Hope you heal up in time for the dive. Maybe Crash will take the mutt to NJ.

Sucks for no diving but cool with the trade and DS's snorkeling. Never swam with the Manatees. Let me know if you want to do some diving down here.

WWII. That way I can say to the Brit - We saved your butt and the German - We kicked yours. And that is when the fight started.

Good Morning!

So, we're getting close to time for our trip, so I'm going to pose some questions.
We've got the following Table Service Ressies:
Hollywood Brown Derby (dinner)
Le Cellier (lunch)
Cinderella's Royal Table (dinner)
Coral Reef (dinner)
'Ohana (dinner)
Boma (dinner)
Chef Mickey (breakfast)
1900 Park Fare (breakfast)
Tusker House(breakfast)

So the question is: what are the best options for these places? Cheddar Cheese soup from Le Cellier is a must, but what else?
Hollywood Brown Derby: They are known for their Grapefruit Cake for dessert - I recommend it.

LeCellier: Cheddar Cheese Soup - use it as a dip for the pretzel bread. Don't forget to get the Mushroom Filet cooked Medium Rare and finish up with the Maple Creme Brulee. My favorite meal in all on WDW.

CRT: I wasn't very impressed the last time. I actually like DS Fried Chicken the best - but that makes for an expensive fried chicken dinner. But I do recommend the Cheese Plate for an appetizer.

Ohana: I know it is hard to resist, but don't fill up on the bread and salad. The wings are great and the marinated, grilled shrimp were my favorite. If possible, save some room for the delicious Bread Pudding for dessert.

Boma: try all of the soups - they are SO good! Also, don't forget to try the sauces for the meats at the meat carving station. I really liked the mustard-based one with the pork. Also, request the breakfast juice (Frunch) at dinner - they can sometimes do that for you. Mmm!

1900 Park Fare: try the Strawberry Soup and the Lobster Eggs Benedict.

You know, maybe we need to make another Doc over at Fbook, and list the best places to eat and the meals that we recommend. Something to think about this afternoon....:surfweb:

Also, tell those pesky Marlins to ease up on my Cubbies, you're starting to make us look bad. Oh, wait, we are that bad... :(
