Morning all. Soccer game at 9:00 am followed by games to ref. currently, it is 57 degrees with a 40% chance of rain. Yucky day to be outside. Hope everyone has a good day.

Morning guys...

Once I get myself awoke this morningm going to try to find a book that's gone missing. Working the 2-10:30 shift tonight, so that's my day.:sad2:

Speaking of stuff that's gone missing....last night my oldest DD lost her giraffe that she has become accustomed to sleeping with.

We had constant drama for about 35-40 minutes last night as we tried desparately to search the whole house for giraffe.

We never found him. And it took about 5 times to try and convince her to take a different stuffed animal to bed. Most of the time, she shot down any other option stating "They always crawl out of bed." ;)

She eventually settled on a soft puppy dog.

So if you see a stuffed giraffe, let me know.

Ugh, I've been through this drama before, not pretty. Amelia only sleeps with a few dozen stuffies on her bed, but treasures a small big-eyed wolf named Wolfie. It's got some wear, but not that bad (yet). We got it at Great Wolf Lodge, and have been back, but cannot get a spare if it gets lost/destroyed. (Her old favorite was a stuffed mermaid Ariel, we bought several on markdown at Disney Store, so had backups, but she fell out of favour :confused3)

I get crazy-obsessed looking for things that go missing. Spent over an hour in the store yesterday looking for a scanner that was misplaced ( found, and best of all, I wasn;t the one to lose it :lmao: ) Worse of all, I have a horrible memory with stuff like this, so cannot usually remember the last place I had things, just where it USUALLY was.

I will be on the lookout for said giraffe

Thanks for your help in the search.....we're all counting on you. :lmao:

The worst part about it is that my DD's the one who lost it. She's usually pretty sharp about remembering where she's left things. But not last night!

I'm just like you Brent when it comes to having to find something when it's lost. Although I'm also affected by the lack of ability to find stuff!

Whatever I'm looking for could be staring me right in the face and I won't see it.

It kills me when I'm looking for something and I ask my DW and she comes right over and snatches it right up and says "Here". :rotfl2:

:rotfl2::thumbsup2

Yep! But... NOW WHAT DO I DO? Lol all my energy goes into raising them.. I guess Ill do what every other dad does.. Call and annoy them at least twice a day and get my feelings hurt when they don't answer! :rotfl2: :cool1:

Plan on doing that a lot plus travel. Think of all that energy that can be transferred for your time.

Morning, gents!

A lot of catch up on!

CJ, you are in such trouble... I'm dreading those years myself. And lacrosse is ending already? Our seasons just started.

Have a nice weekend all!

It will hit you sooner than you think. Down here they start playing early. She started "training camp" 3 months ago.

Watch your back. I mean that literally.

Really scary weather last night. Rain and lightning. Luckily no wind. The dogs were freaking out and woke me up. We got about 5 inches in two hours. Looks like it is also going to be a crummy morning. Hopefully it will clear up later in the day.

My wife calls me "The Finder" because I can always find things others lose, just not what I lose personally. I spent months looking for my money clip, tore the place apart.Figured I lost it period. Found it last month in a pair of shorts not worn since Disney last summer. :lmao:

I can never find anything.....Now Shari can find things and I tell her that her uterus must be like a hoaming device :rotfl2:

But, was th money still in the clip? That is the real find.

Good morning guys, got both Dd's soccer games today and somuch else . Just droped in to say hi, HI.

Hope your weather is better than mine.

Mine has "purple bear" that she still sleeps with that she got at the hospital when she tubes in her ears. You can't find a match for that anywhere. So, if she every loses it, we are toast. I was hoping she would grow out of it, but she is 10 and no end in sight.

Thanks. We ended up having game called early because of lightening. I still am up to ref at 12:00 PM game.

On a separate note - my dermatologist cut me up pretty good this morning.

Hurts like an SOaB!

I had an excision on my temple and my back. My head hurts the worst. I have 3 stitches inside and 10 outside on my head. I didn't even bother asking how many I have on my back.

Hope I don't have to do that again for a while.

Moral of the story - USE FREAKIN' SUNSCREEN Like SPF 2,000

Now time to go lay down and sleep some of this pain away. :thumbsup2

Prayers for a speedy recovery. I've only had a few questionable things removed and it isn't pleasant.

+1 :confused3

DS has my bear, "Bear", from about 44 years ago plus an additional 14 or 15 stuffed things of his own. Is just now questioning the Easter bunny but bailed on Santa last year. He is still at that awkward stage but I am hoping he starts maturing quickly. I'm not going to be around forever as I remind him.

On a positive note, spent about 9 hours with a hoe yesterday but managed to find a flint fleshing knife and a few pieces of broken arrowheads. :thumbsup2 Not a great use of time, but I get paid the same whether I am operating a hoe or writing grants.

Lunch time and a quiet day cleaning the house in preparation for the return of the women folk. Stay safe out there guys, looks like we are in for stormy weather.

Wish I could find the $$ for Disney though :sad2:

Just the receipts from our last day at Disney. Methinks DW absconded with my US cash at the airport. :rotfl2:

What annoys me is that she wanted to take it to school for "bring a toy day". I reluctantly let her, but with a lecture that we cannot replace it now. So when DW picked her up they were launching Wolfie around with lacrosse sticks  She is lucky nothing happened, and I do NOT want to deal with the drama.

Just a quick update, dd's never showed any interest in soccer before. Suddenly they want to be on teams. So we got them in two weeks late, got uniformes and one practice. Games today and dd7 played well, scored a goal and had a good time. Dd9 has a game in 45 minute, she has less athleticism, and less patience with herself. We will see how it goes hoping for the best. We practiced all week just to give them base skills. I played in jr and highschool so I have some knowledge. Hope for the best.

Poor kid... I know you are hiding it, that's the sick perverted pleasure you get out of life, torturing those innocent children.

Just give her back her Giraffe...

I could just see Scott at home with his daughter, as he is losing his patients...

JUST GET TO BED, I DON'T WANT TO HEAR ABOUT THEM CRAWLING OUT OF YOUR BED, YOU KNOW AS WELL AS I DO THEY ARE JUST STUFFED TOYS, NOW ENOUGH WITH THIS FOOLISHNESS AND GET TO BED!!!!
Then he tells them to go watch Toy Story, and teaches her that the Toys really are alive.... :sad2:

I really don't think you do that Scott, I am sure you are a wonderful and patient daddy to those angels.

Wow - you really ARE stalking me. That's EXACTLY what I said! :thumbsup2

just kidding...I was trying to be as patient as possible.

Scott - how are the wounds? Any better pain meds?

Wounds look ok - but they still remind me that they're there with their jolt of pain when I move just wrong.

This morning was my first sight of them. He stitched them up pretty tight. Hopefully that means that the scar isn't so visible. There's 10-12 stitches on my head and probably 15-17 in my back.

Just wish I didn't have to wear this huge a** bandage on my head. I'd much rather gloat with my stitches showing - playing tough guy.

"What happened to you?"

"I got knifed in an alley fight - you should see the other guy." :rotfl2:

Yes, hate those toy days. What happened to school teaching them as opposed to party day, dress day, toy day, etc.

Good to hear. How are your games set up? 6v6
