Bleh. Pretty much got done what I wanted to accomplish in the kids room, and I am happy for it, but I kicked up a lot of dust, and aggrivated some respatory issues I've had with dust in the past couple of years. Went to bed finem but this morning I'm wheezing and coughing. Today will keep the spring cleaning theme going, as it's a nasty storm out there, so no going out today.

this morning we look under our bed and there was A LOT of dust. :scared1: Got that cleaned up today.

Got back last night around midnight.
Had a great time. Got to do a lot of things at Wdw we hadn't done before (new Dumbo, Sorcerers of the mk, illuminations, wishes from the poly beach, fantasmic, Jedi training academy, DisDads meet)
Will try to get some pics up soon.

We did notice the crowds seemed a little heavier than usual for this time of year. We were still able to use FP easily (and even got return time exceptions twice, never hurts to ask ;) .)
Had a great trip, now back to work so we can go again.:wizard:

:thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Greetings from the NICU (Free WiFi! Although I'll have to check the insurance statement - they probably bill for it somewhere...)
Anyway, Ryder is soundly sleeping in his crib so I spent the last hour or so going back and catching up on everything. Thanks for all of the kinds words - I read every single one of them and really appreciate how awesome it is to associate with you fellas.

For those not aware, Ryder was not breathing when he was born. Nurses started chest compressions and an oxygen bag. The NICU team was in the room in short order (the doc later said a door was stuck/locked so he jumped through a window to get there. :thumbsup2) They got him breathing and rushed him up to the NICU. I was allowed up about 45 minutes later (Bambi had the epidural, so she couldn't go yet) He was hooked up to some monitors but looked fine and was turning the nice pink color that babies are supposed to be. He has tested positive for a GSB infection (I think that's the name. Lots of medical terms floating around). Anyway, he's going great. Eating good, loving he attention from his big sister and big brother. He needs to stay here to have a 10-day course of antibiotics to make sure the infection is completely gone.

Missed this too. Glad to hear he's doing well!! Sounds like a great team of docs you have there.

Some more vacation pictures. Here's was my lobster from last night.

The character meet n greet as with Disney's only live resort mascot - Shadow. B'lou brought the fiddle and played and sang songs.

Shadow is well trained and loved the kids petting him.

We stayed at the pool most of the day. Here is the slide.

Here was one of my favorites. Outside the resort is a hammock. Here is a picture from the patio. Also, this is a big enough patio for 2 rocking chairs.

And, the view from the hammock.

A wonderfully relaxing vacation. I do miss the theme parks, but am having a lot of fun here. It is time for dinner - the choices are seafood or seafood. Hmmmmm, decisions.

Great Pics!! Making me want to visit there sometime.

Hope everyone is having a good sunday.

Sorry to hear you are in pain, Brian.

I'm about half way through my shift at work. Been pretty quiet. We watched Rango a bit earlier. I thought it was really good despite the plot being a bit predictable. The animation was really well done.

Hoping it stays quiet, and looking forward to Game of Thrones season 2 premiere in a while.

Barry, use that free wifi as much as possible. I'm sure it is the most expensive free wifi in Wisconsin...

CJ, great pics. Hope you and the pirate princess are having a great time and getting the info she needs to make her choice.

Norm, Hilton Head looks awesome. You might have just convinced about 600 some odd families to go there. So much for that less crowded feeling.

In pain. Ugggggghh

Went to walk in clinic today and got some pain killers and anti-inflammatory pills.

Hopefully a bit of relief may be in sight.

Besides that, everything is cool.

Hope the drugs bring you some relief.

Oh, and David - about that shirt. It pays to have a Father In Law that lives basically right next door to WDW. He loves to buy presents for his grandkids, and when something catches his eye, Bambi and I benefit too. Yup - she has a matching shirt. ;)
Baby strep?? I hope everything works out! He is adorable!! Proud papa!!

We stayed at the main resort pool today. It was a lot more crowded. I'm hoping the beach house will be less crowded tomorrow.

Looks stunning down there, Very nice. Enjoy!

Yeah, no matter what you get rid of...

My guess is that I have developed a dust allergy? Never used to be an issue, but over the past couple of years I've noticed the same symptons after cleaning an untouched area. Funny taste in mouth, cough, wheezing and feeling in throat. I should really grab some masks when I have to do this stuff (then again, that's almost it now for spring cleaning!). Already feels a lot better, clearing up for the most part.

Glad to hear they gave you something for that, hope you feel better, better save a couple for your WDW trip

One of the big selling points of the new house was the hardwood floors. We thought it would help with the dust and DD's breathing issues. Only helps if we keep the floors clean though. :rolleyes1

I think this week I am going to look into getting some houseplants. We have none and they supposedly really help keep the air clean.

It might be a allergy to cleaning:confused3

wow brian, is that still bothering you? i have it but it starts near my sholder blade. i guess its a nerve. tammy pushes on that spot and she said its like a knot. rubs some aspercream on it and a pain patch and the heating pad and in a few days its gone. it will act up in the change of seasons. we have been sleeping with the fan on so im assuming thats what did me in. i hope you feel better soon. (what kind of drugs did we get? popcorn::)

If the house has base board heating in it you will notice a drastic difference with the breathing issues, it doesn't blow dust around like the forced air systems:thumbsup2

when briana was little, we had wall to wall carpet and ripped it out to uncover the hardwood floors. she did alot better with the hardwood. tammy uses those swifter things on it. (i know that because i buy the things by the box at sams) we also live about 2 blocks from a cement mill which has closed in the last few years. they just use the limestone from there and not the plant. that really help alot with the dust. do you have hot air heat? there are alot of good products out that collect dust etc...

we have baseboard heating. All rooms are hardwood/tile except DS's room and the basement (family room). The basement had vinyl which we pulled up and found linoleum underneath in really good condition. Problem with that was there was so much condensation on it during the summer that it became slippery and hazardous. So we got a carpet installed on top of it.

We have the swiffer broom, mop, and duster.

Thanks everyone for the good wishes in dealing with this pain.

It sounds similar to what you describe Dave. Neck and shoulders. Burning sharp pain.

I was given Celebrex for the pain, and Flexaril for the inflammation. Hopefully this will do it.

just becarefull with linoleum in the basement. you could have mold between the cement floor and the linoleum. we had carpet for years in the basement and a few years ago, we got water. not alot but it did got on the carpet. i didnt take any chances so i ripped out the carpet. i painted the floor and just put a big area rug down.

Post 1,000 coming up next and thought it appropriate to post over on the Brag Wall since without my kids I would not even be a DISDad and would still be "notafan". Sometime when we do a meet, for the price of a Dole Whip, I will be happy to share the back story that had me "notafan" after my first trip. It begins with SWMBO, MIL, FIL and I travelling from Raleigh in an extended cab S-10 with no AC and only gets worse.
