Holy Cow... :scared1:

Last night we got a call from WDW Travel Company.

Apparently our name was drawn during the ONE MORE DISNEY DAY PROMOTION. They were unable to get a hold of us because, I was still registered on the WDW websight with my old address.

Anyways, I had to verify my identity, current address, phone numbers, etc... There was a huge questionnaire, and multiple security checks, and a bunch of forms and releases.

But it turns out we won a trip for 4 to WDW or Disneyland, flights, deluxe accommodations, spending money, etc... :cool1:  :cool1:

We are already going to WDW in August, so I am hoping we can go to Disneyland early in 2013. Still working out all the details...but in the mean time we can't believe it.

CONGRATS!

Good Evening Everyone!

Thanks for the congratulations - I haven't had time to read through them all, but I did see quite a few. I'll get through all of them, I promise! But for now, let me tease you with a shot of my new son, Ryder.

(He's the little one next to the Dole Whip shirt. :thumbsup2)

Congratulations. Good looking little guy.

I'm glad everything worked out well and he's doing fine now.

Got back last night around midnight.
Had a great time. Got to do a lot of things at Wdw we hadn't done before (new Dumbo, Sorcerers of the mk, illuminations, wishes from the poly beach, fantasmic, Jedi training academy, DisDads meet)
Will try to get some pics up soon.

We did notice the crowds seemed a little heavier than usual for this time of year. We were still able to use FP easily (and even got return time exceptions twice, never hurts to ask ;) .)
Had a great trip, now back to work so we can go again.:wizard:

Sitting in the room waiting for the car to pick us up to head to Seton Hall. Had a good day yesterday despite the weather. Per DD's request we saw Avenue Q. Funny show. After I drop her off, I have a dinner planned with a friend.

Here she is in front of the St.John's campus

Great picture. Read your post on FB. Scary but glad the NICU took care of him.

Favorite picture from yesterday. It was a little overcast at the beach and ocean still cool, so we had fun.

I like this idea. Great shot. Glad you are having a good time.

Greetings from the NICU (Free WiFi! Although I'll have to check the insurance statement - they probably bill for it somewhere...)
Anyway, Ryder is soundly sleeping in his crib so I spent the last hour or so going back and catching up on everything. Thanks for all of the kinds words - I read every single one of them and really appreciate how awesome it is to associate with you fellas.

For those not aware, Ryder was not breathing when he was born. Nurses started chest compressions and an oxygen bag. The NICU team was in the room in short order (the doc later said a door was stuck/locked so he jumped through a window to get there. :thumbsup2) They got him breathing and rushed him up to the NICU. I was allowed up about 45 minutes later (Bambi had the epidural, so she couldn't go yet) He was hooked up to some monitors but looked fine and was turning the nice pink color that babies are supposed to be. He has tested positive for a GSB infection (I think that's the name. Lots of medical terms floating around). Anyway, he's going great. Eating good, loving he attention from his big sister and big brother. He needs to stay here to have a 10-day course of antibiotics to make sure the infection is completely gone.

Oh, and David - about that shirt. It pays to have a Father In Law that lives basically right next door to WDW. He loves to buy presents for his grandkids, and when something catches his eye, Bambi and I benefit too. Yup - she has a matching shirt. ;)

Can't wait to meet Ryder (and the rest of the family) in August.

It is supposed to be close to 90 tomorrow. This resort is starting to grow on me. Initially, I thought I would like the Vero set-up with the resort right on the beach. But, I remember having to lug all our beach stuff to and from the beach and hotel room. If I left it in van, then I would also have to carry car keys to the beach. At DISNEY HHI, I can leave all our stuff (chairs, toys, tubes) in van, drive to beach, and load/unload right on the beach. It stays in van the rest of the time. Also with two locations and two pools, I think it helps separate resort guests for less crowds. Have a magical day.
great pics norms!! they do look like big studios.

Sunday vacation ownage.

That does sound like a good set-up, less to worry about forgetting something etc, and anything that makes it less crowded is A-OK in my book! Sounds like best of all, it's a more laid-back relaxing vacation, which everyone need time to time. I love Disney and still want to reach the goal of a trip a year, but its not that laid-back. That'll be the key to the North trip this year, it's far more laid back.

We stayed at the main resort pool today. It was a lot more crowded. I'm hoping the beach house will be less crowded tomorrow.

Bleh. Pretty much got done what I wanted to accomplish in the kids room, and I am happy for it, but I kicked up a lot of dust, and aggrivated some respatory issues I've had with dust in the past couple of years. Went to bed finem but this morning I'm wheezing and coughing. Today will keep the spring cleaning theme going, as it's a nasty storm out there, so no going out today.

Sorry to hear it. Hope you get better.

We've heard the crowds get heavier around Easter. We've always avoided that week because of it.

Some more vacation pictures. Here's was my lobster from last night.

temporary-19.jpg

The character meet n greet as with Disney's only live resort mascot - Shadow. B'lou brought the fiddle and played and sang songs.

temporary-18.jpg

Shadow is well trained and loved the kids petting him.

temporary-17.jpg

We stayed at the pool most of the day. Here is the slide.

temporary-22.jpg

Here was one of my favorites. Outside the resort is a hammock. Here is a picture from the patio. Also, this is a big enough patio for 2 rocking chairs.

temporary-21.jpg

And, the view from the hammock.

temporary-20.jpg

A wonderfully relaxing vacation. I do miss the theme parks, but am having a lot of fun here. It is time for dinner - the choices are seafood or seafood. Hmmmmm, decisions.

The pics of Hilton Head look great...making me anxious to get back there in August!!! Glad you like Skull Creek Boathouse...that lobster looked great..my mouth is watering!!!:thumbsup2

Hey guys. Long day today, but productive. Had to get the house ready to have both of our families over next weekend for easter... :scared1:

Hoper everyone had a great day! :thumbsup2

Some pics of the studio. I think Disney HHI may be the largest size studio rooms. Lots of space.

That does look roomy.
