Wow, hard to believe it took this long to get to this point but here I am. Hopefully the 2nd 1000 will come a bit quicker.

I went back and tried to find my first post on the DISDad thread. It’s kind of funny to look back at certain periods of our threads and see how relationships developed, the things that people are going through, and the events that have become almost like placeholders in our timeline. I became a member at the same point that Nate was officially christened as Corn Fuzz.

A lot of guys have come along since I joined, and a lot have lost touch, but the core group that welcomed me is mostly still here. It’s kind of comforting that among the complete anonymous nature of the internet we have gone out of our ways to open ourselves up and share our lives with each other as we wait for our next trips to come up. This is more than a discussion group; it’s more like a brotherhood. When one of us hurts, it pains us all, and in the same way when someone shares some good news, we all feel a bit better.


Thanks for being there for me guys, maybe over the next thousand posts I’ll actually run into a few of you. To those of you who have reached out to me outside the boards, a special thank you, your advice/concern/support means more to me than you will ever know. <----Yes it's a thumb!

They are celebrating there 25th Anniversary and are giving out Exclusive Edition silver mickey ears to the 1st 250 guests, I'll be at the store near me, but I thought you would be interested

We were in there tonight and the CM told us about the special vinylmation that goes on sale tomorrow. It is made of clear resin with "Mickey Ear" and "25" confetti sprinkled in it so no two are the same.

Going to spend Easter with Melody's grandfather and for a little r&r... Gonna be flying into Tampa then driving to Bradenton. I guess I'll have to wave to Mickey from the air. We aren't stopping in WDW this time.

What time are you going? We have a Disney store 25 minutes from us. I have to take Christopher with me (my son, not a DDC Christopher) so I have no idea what time I should be going.

Got another full day at work, writing technical manuals, training packages, meetings and trying not to verbally belittle my coworkers! Then straight home, head over to the Y to get a little workout in, home, shower, and then church. I hope to eat somewhere in there.

Me, I'm waiting with a bunch of (other) old men for a blood draw. Doctors appointment on Friday. Finished up the taxes last night and was pleasantly surprised to get money back from the Federal, but still owe the state. Research day for me, and going to work from home today!

Well, since they capped raises at 2% this year and cancelled the bonus plans for managers last year,

Anybody want we to pick them up something?

I know exactly where that is, in the store they have a box on the counter with Wolf claw nails (think they are like $2) Hunter has to get one every time we go

In all the years we've been there I've never stopped at those stores I'm so focused on getting from Griffon over to Alpengeist that I tend to forget they are there!

If you are going that far, you should include some DVC points and airline tickets for life.
