Just watch out for Sasquatch, strobe light and all. Sounds like fun.

Heh, Sasquatches, no problem, but bears...well, they were never an issue for years, but now they are more common. Dad's warned us of wandering around at night, and to even watch comming around the corner to his place (the front of the trailer faces the lake, and is a huge blind spot until you come around the corner) because the bear's been known to mosey around there. Our cabin is a couple hundred feet from them, more nestled into the bush.

Man, things have changed. we'd all spend many evenings/nights running around, including night hide'n'seek etc. Not to mention hours on the beach in a lounger just stargazing. Note to self: get a good flashlight. :rotfl2:

Excellent, I got an email tonight confirming I got the ressie for a cabin up north. It's at the Campground/resort where my parents stay, just around the corner from them July 15-22 :cool1: It's not Disney, but it is something I did every summer growing up plus some. Will be a lot of fun to be sure. Kids get lots of time with grandparents and swimming, and still have a place to go to when we need some space from 'em too.

Awesome, Congrats, where do you go...?

Careful, the tag fairy may give that one too you!

:rotfl2: :lmao: BAAAAA BAAAAA

Man I can't believe you are back!! Wish I could just "run off to Disney" on a whim! Hmmm.. Think I will take the kids to Disney! Now that we've done that... :thumbsup2 Eh.. Let's take an adult trip as well!! :rolleyes1 must be nice to be Chris! :rotfl2:

Not envious at all!! :rolleyes1

Very cool. Can you come over to the house and mow my yard? Or at least plant some corn?
I was disking a field the other day and the landowner came out to talk to me when I was near his house. He asked me if I could get a little closer to his house and cut across the corners of his yard. In his words "if you can plant it, I don't have to mow it.:lmao::rotfl2:

It looks like a beast. Forget painting it, rust adds character.
I don't like to see it though. We don't have a problem running old equipment as long as it is mechanically sound. Heck, a tractor like that one is very easy to work on. These newer ones take computer diagnostics, $80/hour shop rates and a bunch of electronic components to fix them. The thing is though, we take good care of our equipment. We have a couple of tractors older than this one that my Grandpa bought brand new in the 70's. We've kept them inside when we don't use them, wash them regularly and even wax them every couple of years or so. They still look very clean and well cared for. It just kind of bothers me seeing this one in it's condition. It really is a good tractor, but the guy who used to own it didn't keep it in a shed so it is just weathered badly.

Morning Dads...

I've had this sharp pain in my neck for alomst 2 weeks now.

I thought it was just muscle pain, maybe slept wrong... :confused3

Haven't done anything about it, just waiting for it to go away.

It hasn't.

So I made a Dr. appt. today at 10:45 am.

Ohhhh.. I wish I had taken more pics of my wifes grandfather farm in holgate Ohio! 5 barns 28 tractors.. He collects and restores them! Never seen the old monsters look soo beautiful! He's an old school pickup driving 94 year old!

:lmao::rotfl2: This is the only reason we have gardens in our yard (of the low-maintenance variety). Less mowing surface area. :thumbsup2

are you sure your nemesis isn't trying voodoo?? Prayers it gets better.

And Tim, you can't wash rust off.:lmao: it.

But, you can soak it off with coca cola.

okay. all caught up once again.

it was a beautiful day, but DW was not feeling well and stayed home sick. That gave me someone else to take care of on top of the 2 kids! :lmao:

Got outside for a bit in the afternoon and finally raked some leaves in the yard. hoping to do a bit more tomorrow. it.

Cut the weeds in what is supposed to be yard. It is my way of protesting against DW for living in subdivision. I never weed and feed the yard and it is full of dandelions. When she asks why I don't treat it, I remind her that it was her choice to live there so she gets to take care of it.

We pretty much have everything done that we can do at this point so this rig is done until we're ready to start working ground right before it gets planted. I had it in the shop tonight to change oil and do routine maintenance. Also, we had some parts ordered for the cultivator that just came in, so we'll probably start working on that while it is backed in there.
Look nice. :thumbsup2 What's the HP rating?

A friend of my went camping/canoeing in the boundary waters a few years ago. He showed me the can of bear repellent (Basically mace/pepper spray for bears) the can was as big as a 2 liter bottle of soda!

Are you doing the full package? We did. It was pricey for both dds. I told mine that I am not going to spend that much again, but they want to go back to have their hair and nails done. I'll consider that in the future. Both mine had a great time.

Nah - not doing the full package - just the hair and nails. Mostly because she already has ALL of the darn dresses anyway!

May do the full package in a year or two when my youngest is old enough to get it done.

Hope it all works out....we're all counting on you....you do control the universe, remember? :thumbsup2

Glad they were able to get you in quickly!

Thanks...

It could be him, but that doesn't seem his style, he prefers to torture my by forcing me to drive 6 hours with the promise of Beer... then turns me away.

Hope you feel better soon! Or at least by August.

Ditto... :thumbsup2

Some things are out of my control though... but thanks.

I have a feeling I know what it is, but am going to reserve judgement until the Dr. has had his look.

I will keep ya posted this afternoon.

I'm sure your concern was more about what YOU would do without a nemesis and less about what happened to said nemesis.

you may be right.:lmao::rotfl2::rotfl:
Top of the morning men :thumbsup2

TGIF :cool1:
morning

I just changed my title to baaaa baaaaa! :rotfl2: if i am going be treated like the black sheep I am just going to embrace my persona! :rotfl:

I was thinking the same thing.:rotfl2:

Appreciate the offer. If all holds together there may be a ticker for next year. I do the taxes and have been holding back a little on the federal refund every year to build up some surplus for the last 16 years. A forced savings account that DW isn't aware of and I may be able to surprise her with a trip. Not what I would recommend but the only way I could do it. Deferred gratification isn't her strong point. If not, Lord willing and the creek don't rise, it will be for our 20th anniversary.

I have the same thing. DW spends money like its the Mayan end of the world. I had my hidden savings money, but once she heard we could buy DVC contract, she was ready to spend. At least we have money direct into 401K that she can't spend.

Heard a statistic the other day; Vasectomy's are performed 50% more often in March then any other month. The rational being that men take the 3 days recuperation time to sit on the couch and watch the NCAA tourny. Not sure if I believe this statistic or not, but I really want to.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

:thumbsup2

I want to do that procedure so no more kids, but just can't bring myself to go under the knife.

Good Morning and Happy Friday Guys!

We had all the dresses too, but why would that be a consideration? They have a photographer in BBB (Photopass) and you can take pics as well.
