I see that Avaitarland might be cancelled ( I didn't like the idea from the start) What they should add is some kind of boat ride like Journey of the Amazon or Nile:confused3

I am not so sure. When I told DD that they signed with Cameron, she was pumped. If they give the imagineers the money, this could be a cool land.

Gee, left work at 4:00 on the old thread and now we're on page 7 of the new one.

Should have called it "More Padding than Jr. High Prom":rotfl:

Yes and no, though Randy. It had some padding, sure. But it was closed out at like 257 or 258. Not very far beyond "the mark", compared to some in the past. And in the past - by now the new one would have been up to like 12 or 15. The speed is down to a comfortable level, after the "rush" of closing out the last one. Not too bad, really.

I'm glad to see this. Hope it is true. I really didn't care for the movie to be honest. Sure it was visually impressive but the story didn't do much for me. Don't care to see it again and I don't particularly want to enter that land. I'd rather see them do something with a Disney owned property before contracting something like this.

From the imagery I've seen, yeah it looks like an impressive film - but I've never seen it, so I can't speak to it all that much. I never really had a desire to see it, and so the initial announcement and "plans" for the new land at DAK never bowled me over in the first place.

Now if they could come up with a indoor roller coaster based on one of the ones that P&F built in the cartoon, with the music and everything, now that would be money well spent:confused3

Yeah, good thing it didn't go to 280 the way the boards were hanging up trying to refresh. I liked the pace of this last one, I could go to a meeting or take a night off and only have 3 or 4 pages to go through.

I thought they were doing Monsters Inc over at DHS as an indoor coaster, or did I miss them cancelling that one?

I did hear about this, but I haven't heard anything either way if it's still in the works:confused3

Going to another gift auction tomorrow night, looking to bring home a good haul

I got them....hoping we cash in soon!!! Golden Oaks is calling my name!!!:rotfl2:

We could be neighbors. Or, I can live in your guest house and keep all my money.

Yeah. Thanks.

That makes 9 now that I've dominated. I think it's time for a break. Let someone else win this one.

Whatever! Way too competitive for that.

Hello guys..we're finally home on a LONG day. The Science Center was a bust, way crowded, more then it was for March Break last year. The rain they called for must have driven people to indoor activities (it barely rained BTW). It felt like a busy Disney day, lines for everything. We gave up after 2 hours, went down to the Eatons Center (big mall) for a while then dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory, just beating the dinner rush( we were seated in two minutes, when we left, huge lobby crowd. :thumbsup2 Nice meal, it's an OLD spaghetti restraunt (I remember going there as a kid) with the old knickknacks all over the place etc. Walked to the Rogers Center from there (used to be called the Skydome) and caught the Disney on Ice show (Dreams come True). Pretty good show, kids loved it and were surprised by it, Audrey laughed and jumped around at various parts. Kids were EXHAUSTED when we got home poor things, so tired. Well after all those sleepless nights over the past 6 years, tough! :rotfl2::lmao::rotfl2:

Wow, didn't make it till page 8. I liked the pace last thread ended at. Made it easier to catch up when you can't get on for stretches....:thumbsup2

Local news reports Manning has scratched the Dolphins of the list of potential teams. Now they are scheduled to talk to Flynn after his Seattle visit. And the drama continues.

Sound like a busy day there.

Is the Old Spaghetti Factory the one down the block from the Organ Grinder? When I lived in the GTA my parents used to take us kids to the Organ Grinder every once in a while. Was always a fun time and we used to love to join in the sing-a-longs.

Yes sir it is...

Inc over at DHS as an indoor coaster, or did I miss them cancelling that one?

I did hear about this, but I haven't heard anything either way if it's still in the works:confused3

Jim Hill just talked about this on the occasional podcast he does with Len Testa from TouringPlans.com/WDWToday. According to Jim, the plans for the Monsters, Inc. coaster at DHS are pretty much complete. They're just waiting for sufficient economic turnaround to get budget go-ahead to build it. Apparently, Disney was expecting the new version of Star Tours to cause a measurable attendance jump at DHS, and the only attendance bump was for about three weeks or so right after it opened. Seems to me like that was a pretty unreasonable expectation, particularly for an attraction refurb (as opposed to a totally new attracting). I mean, I LOVE the new Star Tours, but it's not like there were legions of Star Wars fans out there just waiting for a better Star Tours ride before coming to DHS. :confused3
