Morning everyone...

Had a little walk after drop-off this morning, just around the river/lakefront. Nice and cool but not chilly. Still tired and drained, so going to nap before work. Not expecting ant miracles tonight, as morale is still soaring to new lows AND there is a larger-then-normal load of stock for them to deal with, so they will be pissy (again) by the time I show up at 2.

Could be worse though. Up in the North Bay/ Sudbury area, some forcast models call for 20cm of snow! :crazy2:

Wow haven't been on here in a while and i can't believe this thread is still going.

Thanks for the support there CJ. With friends like these.....:headache:

Any time buddy. Don't worry, you still have the Bulls. People here are panicking over a Bulls/Heat series.

Excellent work, CJ. Brian needed to come back to earth after that Hawaii trip. :thumbsup2

Why did my boss give me a project this morning that he knows that I will not be able to complete before I leave?!? :headache:

That's got to be a Man Law violation.

In 1996 - when it was just me ad DW (then DGF), we went on it - and she FREAKED out :scared1:

On the drop she BIT me, and took a bit of skin off the shoulder.

Yikes! :scared: Even I didn't react that badly.

Neither would I. I had no problem skydiving pre-SWMBO when I had time and money, just don't have much interest in thrill rides. I will do the old wooden coasters with DD because the Mrs. won't. When I was really young I liked the rides that spun around but not anymore. Anything that spins or steel coasters are the responsibility of the wife (it was in my marriage vows).

As anyone who read my TR's knows... :rolleyes1 ...I hate big drops. I did ToT once, and I'm glad to say I did. But I'm not in a hurry to get back on.

Weeeeeellllllllll..... just because I didn't mention the domestic parks, doesn't mean that they won't be on the agenda. Those are kind of an automatic. A given, if you will. ;)

:worship:

Hello folks....it's been another rough day, things are just getting worse rather then better. :sad2:

Not going to go into details...mentally and emotionally I am feeling drained. I'm now getting a lot of grief for god-knows-what. One more shift and I can escape to the inlaws for a couple of days rest, and trust me, rest I shall! :thumbsup2 Will have to hit up step FIL for some Crown Royal Black

Sorry, Brent. Here's some good news:

Morning Men! Its finally Friday!

Matt

:cool1:

Here's something some of you guys might be a expert on, on our last VA trip we were going to try either a Cracker Barrel or a Golden Corral, but by the time we left Kings Dominion and reached Williamsburg it was kinda late.

On our next trip to Va in June we would like to try one of them since I've heard raves on both, so which one is better, is there a difference or are they about the same:confused3 We don't have either anywhere near us, so I have no clue:confused3

Both are good. CB is a family restaurant with good, consistent food. GC is buffet and some are better than others.

Hang in there. The weekend is in sight!

Well, another day and still no baby.

Been trying to get in touch with the lady handling my insurance claim for 2 days, leaving voice mails and not getting my calls returned. I have a 7 day car rental and today is day 7. No work has been done on the truck, because I'm waiting on her to get something done. :furious:

So many questions, yet I'm not sure I want the answers. :rotfl2:

Night time plowing too, how many hours do you work a day:confused3, is this work everyday or do you have weeks off at a time, with certain times working almost around the clock:confused3
Well, I have my office job from 7:30 to 5ish... I tend to sneak out early this time of year.

We really only work really late at spring during planting season and fall during harvest. Maybe a month or 2 at a time, but there are always breaks in there when it rains or something. I've been working ground for the last pass to prepare the seed bed in front of the planter. My dad plants most of the corn and he can cover about 200 acres a day, but he quits when it gets dark, because it is hard to see what he's doing after dark with all his planter monitors lit up in the tractor. I've been working late to try to keep about 200-300 acres ahead of him so that we can keep the planter rolling while I'm at work.

Last night I quit just after 11. I really could have kept going another couple of hours, but I had just finished the field I was in and the next field is right behind a row of houses. I didn't think it would be very neighborly to take a 300 hp diesel engine running wide open about 100 feet from their bedroom windows at around midnight.:lmao:

Here's last night's farm picture.

Yeah, thanks for that. Between the Cubs, the Hawks and work I'm finding that reality can really bring you down. :headache:

So kind of you there Andy. :rotfl2:

Cool! Aliens!

Mornin' Dads. TGIF!

One set of stitches out - and one to go! Another week before I get the ones on my back out - and, of course, those are the ones that are bothering me the most.

Hope everyone has a GREAT day! :thumbsup2

All this running around, has aggravated the shoulder. Think I will be popping pills tomorrow morning so I can look at fishes in the afternoon. DD won't let me take Chum with me.

Good luck!

Why did my boss give me a project this morning that he knows that I will not be able to complete before I leave?!? :headache:

Sometimes, I feel like I work for Fed! :lmao:

Is he making you do the project out in the parking lot in a metal shed?

Golden Corral is a complete crap shoot. Depending on the location they can be awesome or horrible. But then again $12 all you can eat steak is almost always a good bet.

Cracker Barrel is pretty much the same where ever you go, good sized portions, decent food, pretty wide selection. Just don't go if you are in a hurry! We went with friends after a day at a waterpark, they were busy, and it took 45 minutes from when we ordered until the kids meals came. By that time 5 of the 6 kids were asleep with their heads on the table.

Could be worse though. Up in the North Bay/ Sudbury area, some forcast models call for 20cm of snow! :crazy2:

I still have not-so-fond memories of canoeing on May 24 weekend one year with chunks of ice still in the water. And yes, we did dump the canoe at least once.:crazy2:

Cracker Barrel X 1,000,000,000

Golden Corral is a no go unless it's Lake Placid, Florida and there ain't no whre else to go.

Besides, Cracker Barrel is the Holy Grail of Interstate Southern Cooking:lmao:

Totally agree. Cracker Barrel has better food, hands down.

Golden Corral isn't bad, but Cracker Barrel is just better. Now if you're looking for a relatively low cost way to eat until they have to haul you out the front door with a forklift, then Golden Corral is the winner.

Cracker Barrel. It's not even close.
Yeah, thanks for that. Between the Cubs, the Hawks and work I'm finding that reality can really bring you down. :headache:

::yes::I expected this from the Cubs. The 'hawks are particularly disappointing right now.

It's amazing some of the things you see in the middle of an Indiana corn field when it gets close to midnight. :rotfl2::rotfl::lmao:

Indiana in general :rotfl2:

Cracker Barrel is just Ricky Bobby awesome :thumbsup2

Oh yeah... almost forgot the most important detail. Cracker Barrel serves breakfast all day.

That can make the decision process a little more difficult sometimes though. At most restaurants, I know what I want to order before I ever sit down. Cracker Barrel's a little different though. Sometimes I feel like having some pancakes, sometimes chicken & dumplins, sometimes it's any number of other things.

Time for an early lunch. Sent off for approval to spend some money so that will take the better part of the day to hear back if I do since it is Friday. Would like to get out of the office this afternoon but I refuse to leave until the stack on the desk is a manageable size.
