Morning guys....

Home from work today with Audrey. Her breathing and cough got exceedingly worse and DW finally took her to Emerg. "Illness induced Asthma" again. She had some oxygen treatments, and we got fresh puffer pescriptions. Another relative short hospital visit, 2 hours, a lot better then the 8 hour marathons we've endured.

She's doing just fine now, already made a mess of her room playing. Finally settled down a bit (FINALLY tiring out) watching Disney Junior nice and quiet like. All us good, and she's not wheezing as bad as before. Really tired out because we were up half the night.

Sorry to hear about your ordeal....glad to hear things are slowly getting back to normal.

That's no fun seeing your child in distress like that.

Poor kid... a few shots of Ventolin, and a nap should take care of that.

Baseball bat, check. 9 iron, check. Cast iron frying pan, check. Guess I am ready to meet the kid that is taking my child to the prom. Did I leave anything out? A taser maybe?

Talked to the child this morning and asked her if the kid is nervous about meeting me. Her answer, "He better be." First time I met someone she has a "date" with. Going to be weird. Do I go all bad *** on him or do I play the nice guy? Thinking former but will probably be the later.

Best to Audrey, poor kid. Glad she is feeling better. Good sign that she is making a mess of her room.

It sounds like Crash and her friends have prepped him pretty good. I say have some fun with it and play the bad cop.

Tikki...glad to hear she's feeling better.

Hey Fed-
I've always wondered what song you're quoting at the bottom of your sig.
Well, I listen to Margaritaville.com all day at my desk and lo and behold I heard that line in a song! This particular version is a duet with Jimmy and Martina McBride but I'd guess that they're just covering that song. So what's the song and who originally recorded it?
I was waiting until you showed up on these boards again to ask you that. No sooner do I start typing this post than they start playing it! Weird.

Lucky you have a boy. Plan on the WWFD (what would fed do) approach. Going to be interesting.

The Ozzie apology tour continues. Yesterday he held a press conference in the ballpark, today he apologized to the team. News just showed the massive protest at Marlin's Park yesterday. Must have been 20 people there other than the press. It is kind of funny all the attention this is getting down here. How about Play Ball.

I was more entertained by his other comments during that conversation. He claimed that he gets drunk after every game, win or lose. That's 162 regular season games, not to count playoffs and preseason... Anyone in the organization think their coach (besides having no filter whatsoever) might be a raging boozebag? :confused3

Saw that too. Hey, that is a plus for me. Need to find out the brand he drinks so I can invest in the stock.

Playing with the new iPad. Fun but I Can't get my iPod to sync.

Hi guys. What's shakin?

So I'm finally getting around to resurfacing over here after my little 2 week get away to the islands.

Not even going to try to catch up on 2 weeks worth of.... well, whatever we call it around here... :lmao:

BigTikiDaddy: Sounds like your little one is doing better, I hope it wasn't too traumatic for her (or you).

:scared1:

I'm not looking forward to those days. Although I'm thinking when I get there, I'm going to go with a different approach. I plan to be sitting at the table with a double barrelled shotgun (not loaded) with a bottle of gun oil and a rag, not say a word and just stare the boy down. Oh, and have a "I know Fed" sign behind me. :lmao:

I think the best line from Ozzie on that was that he gets drunk in the hotel bars because he's less likely to get in fights that way. Gotta love Ozzie. :rotfl2:

Hi guys.

You may remember that I have two grown and married daughters. When they started to date, I told them to bring their dates around so I could meet them. I also told them I'd be cleaning my gun when he got there.

I didn't meet many of their "dates".

My advise to you is, play nice with your girl's toys. :)

Yeah, it's from that song....I was listening to it while recovering from an IED strike in Iraq and it just kinda' struck me...so it's been there ever since.

Lucky you have a boy. Plan on the WWFD (what would fed do) approach. Going to be interesting.

My bark is worse than the bite....

Just be careful. If you use the WWFD approach, you might need Fed to come and get you out of lock up. :lmao:

Kinda hard when there ain't no evidence....;):rolleyes1

... Its Wednesday, the wonderful halfway point that lets you realize that you don't have half as much time to get everything done as you had previously thought!

Gee, thanks.

... I am several days behind.

...

In other news, DS turned 1 yesterday (need to update sig.) His big party is this saturday.

hope everyone is having a good wednesday!

Me too. I didn't bother trying to catch up just jumped back in. Kind of like going to the men's room, you don't ask what you missed while you were out.

Glad Audrey is feeling better. Kids and illness are always scary.

I'll have you on speed dial in about 5 years.

Welcome back and I like your plan.

My girl isn't allowed toys until I am dead or senile.

Finally got a minute in the office to get caught up on the important stuff...this.

DS and I have been busy and he has been helping out. Cold weather has been rough this week. Had to make an unplanned trip to one of the research farms and cover my strawberry plots. Not a lot of fun when it is 97 miles one way.

Today we were helping a grower put up a high tunnel. Got it all done but the plastic. Way too windy and DS would have ended up about 2 counties away if the wind had caught it when he was hanging on.

Getting some guy time though and he is getting some free time. At his age I had a lot more responsibility then he has had so I think this has been good for him. He actually got the laundry folded when I walked down to the office last night!

Morning All!:surfweb:

I cannot watch baseball during hockey playoffs. One of my last years in Toronto I had to take some people from head office to a Jays game in April. We had been at a bar the night before watching playoff hockey, I swear that baseball game took 7 hours to play! In the summer I can sit an watch baseball and enjoy the pace, but in the Spring it is pure torture.

I vote to see if Fed can make it down for diner. Maybe even offer to drive the young man to the restaurant and play everyone's favorite game - "Guess what is in Fed's Trunk!":scared1:
same way, its like watching paint dry. i know that answer, i know whats in feds trunk! :thumbsup2

Trip report?? I have a nagging feeling I am supposed to be doing something with a trip report :lmao:

No, we may be looking at Sept. there are some possible work obligations that will keep me from attending the convention

So I have to try and get a trip in somehow :thumbsup2

september!!! randall and i are going to be there in september!
