Brent, being a fellow canadian I have that problem as well. What I figured out is, start hanging out with slow people.

Remeber, when being chased by a polar bear you don't have to be faster then the bear. You jus have to be faster then the guy beside you.

Or as Barry said in the last thread, just trip him :rotfl2:

Im a major slacker lately Scott. Sorry guys been a little crazy with the crap/sickness going through our house and "trying" to stay away from it. Well it finally caught me on friday and Ive been on slow-mo ever since. Doctor dx me with Asthmatic Bronchitis. Yea me! :cool1: My son had the tri-fecta he was dx with Bronchitis, Croup and the onset of Pneumonia. He was out of school for 8 days total.
Been busy booking and quoting out trips for clients as well, tis the season. People keep running into small to medium sized lumps of money this time of year and think they should WASTE it on a vacation! :lmao: Love that, had a client tell me his wife wanted to "waste money on a family vacation" almost bit his head off, but I showed some restraint.
Podcasts are doing well to, we are scheduled to record the "EPCOT Resorts" episode tonight. Just finished a great one on "Why NOT take a Disney vacation", should be a good listen.
Thank you for the concern sir, I appreciate it.

:wave2: Mark

Hope everyone gets better quick.

I am nearing the end of the final Harry Potter book.

Wasn't expecting to like them as much as I have. I thought the books got better as I progressed through the story, until this last one. It is dragging a bit for me, and the sudden introduction of other character perspectives is odd to me.

Overall, I have enjoyed the books and looking forward to the last couple hundred pages. I also have a desire to visit Universal and check it out someday.

I read the first one many moons ago because there was a big row over it in our neck of the woods with calls for having it banned from the school and municipal libraries. I figured that if it evoked that kind of passion… I ought to give it a read to find out what the fuss was. I enjoyed it, so I bought the second (which had just come out at the time) and have read all of them since.

I just like the arc of the story, the various characters, but mostly I like the details and how they’d reappear and become clearer as the story progressed. She did a good job of thinking it through.

A trip to Universal would be fun as well… but that’s a ways off in the future yet.

Saw this on FB and had to share

Well done Chuck!

I had a BIL who was telling everyone they would burn in you know where if you read these, then proceeded to diss the movies. All while his kid was playing the unlocked version of Mortal Combat and listening to Megadeath :confused3

Dose he live down here?
That sound uncannily like a very large percentage of my neighbors.

My DD's were reading them and wanted me to read them. So I started I enjoyed them, they were ok. Then in book three, I think, there was a point in the story where Harry had to make a decision, There was the one I would had chosen, and the one I knew Harry would choose to move the plot in the predicable way. Well Harry made the same decision I made and the story moved on in a totally unpredictable way. I was hooked. I really enjoyed JK's writing.

Personally I've never read any of the Harry Potter books. I think we have the whole series though, my wife is currently reading them with my kids.

I only read the last one. I watched the movies with DW (who had read all the books) up until the final. I like her writing, but enjoyed the movies too.

I never read any of the HP books, but we LOVED the movies! I hated to see it all come to an end. It was like saying goodbye to a friend!!!

I’ve been called that before…
many times before.

When reruns of those skits are aired around here…
They’re advertised as public service announcements.

It confuses folks mightily when you laugh at ‘em.

No, but I could send hom down there if you have a place to bury...um I mean to house him :lmao:

I suspect that there are a number of folks the would consider the possibility.
I ain’t one of ‘em… buy I’ll ask around.

I go away for a day and you close a thread and start a new one. Time to just jump in.

I've never read them either.

But we don't have them.

And I don't care to read them.

A friend of mine read them, voraciously and LOVED them... and then talked about them so much, I kind of got a case of overkill and decided I didn't want to read them. And I still haven't.

I did see part of one of the movies on TV a couple of years ago, but really wasn't all that impressed. Kind of an over-hyped series in my opinion.

The third one is actually my favorite.
I think it had the best story line
